I could not say enough great things about Michelle! She has tremendously helped me with my anxiety- especially during this crazy time. She's given me so many tools to help ground myself and the EMDR therapy is magic! Dealing with my past traumas that I didn't think were a big deal really changed me emotionally. One of the best humans and therapists I have ever met. I could never finish saying great things about Michelle, Im taking the time to write this because everyone should know how amazing and prepared she is, and how much she has to offer! MUST TRY EMDR. When I first started seeing her I was, probably going through the worst rough patch of my life. I was going through a lot and was beginning to come to terms with the fact that things weren't going to change, and basically realized life just really sucked. The last thing I wanted was to talk about it and I did NOT want to see a therapist AT ALL. Im not great at sharing personal stuff with strangers. But somehow I ended up sitting across from Michelle. BEST decision I ever made, from the beginning Michelle knew how to make it easy for me to talk to her - Things never felt forced ( Which had happened to me with other therapists in the past) I could tell from the beginning she was very real and was actually listening to what I had to say without judging me. My favorite thing about therapy with her is that she worked hard and made sure she helped ME find the resources and strategies that work for ME. It was very important for me discover what tools are effective for me, in order to use them when life gets challenging. In my opinion one of the things that makes a good therapist is the ability to get clients to be able to guide themselves towards healthier choices ( mental, physical and spiritual). She did that for me and I will forever be grateful for all her help. Every time I struggled to find "tools" Michelle ALWAYS tried different ways to help me figure things out. She paid attention and got to know me in order to provide better guidance. It really helps that she does EMDR - I was able to overcome phobias and experiences that I had held on to through the years. Literally, works like magic removing the blocks and processing bad experiences I thought I wouldn't get over. We worked on my irrational, paralyzing fear to spiders - A few weeks after working on it with EMDR, I went to an event and there was a Tarantula and I decided to see if something had changed. IT DID, I held a Tarantula for 5 minutes and all the fear that I once felt was gone. Big Bonus for me was the fact Michelle has a sense of humor and I do too, so sometimes when I brought that into the room with her it was welcomed and accepted. Overall that is how Michelle made me feel, accepted. And when you feel accepted it's easier to connect and say what's in your heart. So I started sharing. And soon after that, things got more honest, old issues emerged and were dealt with. And before I knew it, I had so many resources and I was already becoming a happier, healthier version of myself.
