Michelle is the 4th tattoo artist to do my brows--which had been not even for years, unfortunately. I mean one was a little higher than the other which drove me absolutely crazy as I couldn't fix them, and it seemed none of the previous tattoo artists could neither. I highly recommend Michelle for permanent eyeliner. Her results are very high quality and she's obviously skilled at what she does. I had a bad experience with a permanent eyeliner in the past. This other artist was rude, didn't want to listen to my request, complained why my eye would naturally twitch or blink, inflicted a lot of pain, and the results were barely visible. Excellent work. I got my eyeliner done a few years back by someone who didn't *specialize* in permanent makeup and it didn't take. The lady basically blamed my skin and said some people's skin just doesn't take ink. So happy I gave it another shot with Michelle! Guess what?? It took! Goes to show that if you're considering PMU go to a specialist. Not someone who does PMU as one of many other types of services they offer. Went twice, initial and touch up. She thoroughly explained how permanent eyeliner works, how the process is done, and what to expect afterwards. Michelle is very well educated on her subject, and her passion is obvious. Next, we scheduled my appointment (she had availability the following week which was perfect). On application day, she spent plenty of time drawing on and perfecting the shape/thickness of the eyeliner, then okaying with me. So far so good! I am on day 3. So i will update this review after my touch up in one month** now my review: Michelle was very professional. First of all her salon is located inside a building where multiple beauty vendors are located. Very nice and appeared safe. Second, michelles salon is very cozy and clean. Microblading includes your skin being cut and penetrated so it is imperative that the tools be kept clean. Michelle started by giving me a history of permanent vs. semi-permanent makeup. Basically she wants you to know that THIS IS NOT PERMANENT and it will eventually fade requiring you to get touch ups every year or sooner depending on your skin type. She then proceeded to show me the different types of brow techniques. I had always thought i wanted microblading but came to realize i actually was looking for ombre shading! Soo glad michelle showed and explained the difference to me. So i went with ombre shading with some microblading on the edges. I love to do my makeup and generally do my eyebrows quite nice, but i am just tired of spending 15+ minutes each day on my eyebrows. So Michelle worked with my style and shape. I actually drew my eyebrows how i do them and she perfected them (made sure they were aligned and even). So this is like tatooing, needles are being used to cut your skin so it will feel slightly painful. She will apply numbing cream which works very well until it runs out. You have to tell her when its too painful so she can re-apply. There was pain with the process, but definitely tolerable. Do expect that the eyebrows will get darker and will scab for the first week. Mine have yet to start scabbing and im on my third day. Overall, i love the shape and i love the color. I have received many compliments at home and at work. I love how my eyebrows look nice ALL THE TIME . **this is 3 days post procedure, I will update post after touch up read more
