So naturally for my divorce I did just that - I talked to family, friends and coworkers while researching representation online. The receptionist wasn't even present during my 45 minute wait. The second spent my consultation bad mouthing other lawyers. I settled on the third. Once I paid my retainer I swore my lawyer worked for my Ex-husband! He even got irate and yelled at me during a meeting because I wouldn't concede to my Ex-husband's demands and I dared question his advisement! Needless to say I was distraught. An already impossible time with 3 kids in tow being made that much worse. I fired him. Fast forwarding to meeting Melissa. She got him a name of an appraiser 10 days before court so of course they had to push back the court date yet again.
