We were on our way down to Vero Beach and found this place close to the highway to stop for a bite to eat. The staff was super friendly when we went in and helped us to find a table since they were very busy. My husband and I shared a white pizza with mushrooms and spinach. It was cooked perfectly with a slightly crispy crust. My youngest decided to try the calamari and she really enjoyed it. The oldest had a small salad since she was not hungry. She said the dressing was good and the salad was crisp. The inside is small, but they do have a few tables and booths to sit and eat. WOW! This place is absolutely incredible! I can't say enough about how amazing the pizza is. I'm completely full, yet I still can't stop eating it. I told myself I'd save some for later, but that's just not happening! And the bread... how in the world does someone make bread this good? It is hands down some of the best I've ever had. I also wanted to mention that, for some reason, my tip didn't go through on the website. Please don't blame the delivery driver--he absolutely deserved a tip. I never carry cash, so I felt terrible when I realized what happened. I called Michelli's, and they were kind enough to make sure the driver received $5. I had intended to tip $10, but I'm glad he at least received something. That level of customer service says everything about this restaurant. Have just recently made the decision that I'm not messing around with ANY OTHER PIZZA JOINT except Michelli's from here on in. It simply is THE CLOSEST you can get to NY-LONG ISLAND style pizza in FL. The bite, the chew, that perfect density of the dough meeting hot and oily cheese....its just the best. Cozy, traditional pizzeria with lots of good-looking menu items. Hubby and I ordered two slices each. My favorite was the Meatball slice (on the server's recommendation). My hubby enjoyed the sausage and pepperoni. We really liked the crust, but the texture of the cheese was a little off. There was no cheese pull, and the slices were hot out of the oven. We drove over to this restaurant because my husband wanted a meatball sub, and their reviews stated theirs were the best around. Sadly, the sub was a huge disappointment. It was small and the bread was burnt around the edges. Not only that, it was tasteless, except for being extremely salty. Also, beware that the menu on their website is seven years old, along with the prices. My wife and I went to this establishment yesterday and we're greeted as soon as we walked in hospitality is great as well as the food. My wife had eggplant Parmesan with pasta which she greatly enjoyed and I got the spaghetti and meatballs, which is excellent. It comes with garlic knots, as well as a salad. We were also greeted by Michele who is a very gracious lady and I think the owner that always make you feel as if you're part of the family and you're always well treated as well as a service is always excellent locally they have some of the best Italian food you can have. I really love Michellis! As soon and you walk in, you are always greeted with a hello and a smile! It's got a very hometown feel and the server is always ready to walk you through the menu if you have any questions. They have daily specials and their pizza is pretty amazing! First time ordering from here and won't be in a rush to order again. I ordered the small Stromboli with a side greek salad. The salad should be called a micro salad. This portion did not fit the price point. The stromboli was mediocre and the pepperoni was more like beef jerky. My girlfriend ordered the pepperoni calzone and the ricotta was the consistency of milk and ran out of it when she cut it in half. Her pepperoni was the same as mine. It's usually hard coming from New York and not getting the pizza you really want in this area however Michellis is the closest you can get to New York! They did deliver what I asked. I got the menu in the mail and yes it worked I tried you guys out and I definitely enjoy the pizza. I got 6 garlic knots rolls for 3.95$ and the large crispy pizza cost me about 13.95$ and the soda . Very affordable and really good. Not sure how long Michelli's has been around, but for some reason it's gone completely under our radar, at least until we got the flyer in the mail (hey- it worked!). There are very few pizza places in Brevard that I think are worth going back to again -- all are no less than 25 minutes from our home in south West Melbourne -- and I thought we'd exhausted them all. Side note, we're originally from Indiana and while you wouldn't think of it as some sort of pizza Mecca, it kind of is... think Arni's, Bazbeaux, Pizza King, Noble Romans-- and of course close access to some of the best Chicago pizza around. Anyway, we've been jonesing for something close to some of the kinds I just listed and we always come up short. At the very least, we'd love for a chain like Jets to come closer bc we grew up on the deep dish style (which reminds me... I miss Garcia's!) but Brevard doesn't seem to care about that style. Too many east coast folks, I guess. Back to Michelli's. I'm was excited to see Sicilian style in the menu and more than willing to give it a shot. I was also excited to see some toppings and styles reminiscent of Bazbeaux, like artichokes, broccoli, Quattro formaggio, etc. I ordered a Sicilian with a bunch of weird toppings. Maybe not a "typical" Sicilian but it still worked. The flavor was good. It tasted fresh and the sauce was delicious. It was also one huge pizza! For $40, I suppose I would expect it to be (I did order a bunch of toppings, of which at least half were premium, and that's really what shot up the price). My only complaint -- and it's kind of a big one, but bc it was good otherwise I'm more than willing to overlook as a one-time thing -- is that the crust was overcooked to the point of being black in many spots on the bottom. The result was a super chewy and somewhat dry crust. Next time I order I will point this out -- based on everything else being so good, I expect that this is not the norm. read more
