    Packard Pepperoni Pizza

First stop in Detroit: Detroit style pizza of course. It was really crowded on a Saturday afternoon, so we chose to order at the counter and sit outside. They have a four picnic tables. We sat at one where another group was sitting at the other end. The service was great and they constantly came outside to check on us and refill our waters and take our old plates away. We ordered charred broccoli (forgot to get a photo, but it was good), and the packard pepperoni pizza, which had pepperoni, jalepenos, and house-made hot honey. It was so delicious! I love that the center dough was a little bit soft and the edges were perfectly caramelized.

Real Detroit pizza in Detroit, MI. If you're ever in Detroit and want a great pizza, this is the place. Located in Corktown. A new and upcoming neighborhood utilizing old blue collar factories into a vibrant community place. Cafe style, order at the counter and step a side. Although it was busy, bustling workers were busy filling the orders. Pizza was hot, fresh and delicious. We tried three of them and all were delicious. Dough, perfect. Prices, reasonable. Some interesting indoor eating options. We preferred outside. Abundant space with plenty of table and umbrella options. Fun and filling

Oh my what a great pizza true Detroit style I like it better than buddies and really awesome so glad that I went to this place

10-15 minute wait. It's a small dining area out front and a few counter seats. 5 tables, 6 window counter seats and 6 front counter seats. May be an ideal carry out spot. Took down my name and number for a seat. A little over 10 minute wait. Ordered a La Croix Pure, arugula salad, no croutons, Farnsworth Funghi, added garlic, chicken, yellow pepper, bell pepper, red onion, teader fries, roasted carrots. Ordered a lemon vinaigrette to go, 10 ounce for $7.42. Total bill is $58.65. CC portable reader to cash out at the table. Pizza comes in one size, the size of the paper menu. No Faygo Red Pop, that's still my favorite flavor. The arugula Parmesan is the same as what's on the table. The pepperoni looks good, curling up. The arugula salad is simple, lemon vinaigrette dressing is nicely citrusy, fresh and good. The arugula is nice and green and maybe baby arugula. The teader fries are nicely seasoned and good on their own, good still with the cilantro ranch dipped. They have those dreaded paper straws, it of course bent and fractured from the saturation in the can. Had to get a second straw to finish the can. The carrots are okay, not my favorite, just seems plain. Heirloom carrots, yellow and purple carrots. The bell pepper here aren't red, they are clearly green pepper and are roasted, not fresh. Ok. The funghi with the add-ons was just okay for me, not the hype I was expecting. They do use all fresh ingredients. Not a lot of chicken pieces as an add-on. I only got one small piece in my two middle squares. :/ Small 6 piece square pizza cost $20.

Sold out!! At 6:40p Saturday!! Who knew? Not me. Made a special trip for pizza on recommendation for a Pittsburgh co-worker. But sold out?!! How does that happen to a top voted pizza shop. Inside very small for seating. Definitely a "to go " shop.

Only second stop on my Detroit Pizza crawl, so I only have one other to compare it with which was fantastic. Ordered the small Cowabunga Supreme and it is delicious like the other place I visited, a small is good enough for two regular appetites. I only finished half and boxed the other half for later if I get hungry before my last stop tomorrow. Great staff, great food and private parking.

It's been a couple of years, but I returned with friends! One thing is for certain- this restaurant is consistent! Delicious quality pizza, and great customer service! I invited three friends to try it out for the first time. We all ordered different variations of pizza, so before we left, we ended up tasting many more options than we had planned. I call that a pizza party. We will definitely be back soon. I love that they have outdoor seating now.

Why 5 stars? Because this is perfect Detroit-style pizza. --- --- --- I did a painstaking amount of research on which Detroit-style pizza place I should go to for my weekend visit to the area. I eventually settled on Michigan & Trumbull and felt really good about that decision. After visiting, I think I did some real good choosing. I started off with the Teader Fries, which I assumed my friend would also take part in. When I offered them to him, he said, "no thanks, fries are too fattening." A pretty funny thing to say as you are about to embark on a Detroit-style pizza, but who am I to question his belief system? Meanwhile, I HOUSED those fries because they were so insanely addicting. Maybe my friend was right, as this is not a small portion, yet I ate every crumb. As for the pizza, I went with the BBQ chicken, while he got a pepperoni + extra cheese concoction. Both were excellent and highlighted by the crust that seemed to be magically crispy, just somehow still soft at the same time. I finished off with an ice cream sandwich, which was the perfect way to end this awesome meal. Coming here after a Lions game - the best decision we ever made was leaving that game when our Cleveland Browns were getting killed in the 4th quarter. We beat the rush, yet these pizzas don't pop out quick (quality takes time). By the time we were done, there were many people hovering over our spots at the bar, anxious for an opportunity to snag a seat. The outdoor seating also went from non-existent to packed during our time inside. I'm glad this place gets the local love because it deserves it.

Michigan & Trumbull was exactly what we needed while at an event at The Lincoln. Located on Holden Street, it's tucked away & hidden. Super cozy. We sat at the bar and chatted it up with the friendly bartender, even though this is a dry establishment. :) The pizzas were enough for two people to share. Detroit style & delicious. Give M&T a try!

Delicious Detroit style pizza! My mom and I shared a pizza and it was plenty for both of us. The flavor was so good - I love the buttery, crispy crust and the hot honey topping tasted so good with the pepperoni. Sauce, cheese and meat ratio was perfect and their sauce had just a hint of sweetness to it which balances the acidic tomato base. I did find the location kind of hard to find because I am from out of state. There is a lot of construction going on in the area and the sign was kind of hard to see for that reason. The parking lot is also tiny for dine in! But we did not have to wait for a table and our pizza came out pretty soon after the order was placed. I would definitely eat here again and there are some cool other businesses popping up around it so once everything is finished with construction, should be a hip spot!

We visited Michigan and Trumbull on a Saturday afternoon, and they were sold out and said no Pizzas. We came back again on Sunday to get the flavor of Detroit style pizza. They didn't disappoint, and the Pizza was served perfect crispy, great sauce and cheese. The staff is friendly and helpful. this time, I called them ahead to ensure they carry pizza lol... There are indoor and outdoor dining spots. The parking situation is tricky where you can park roadside or lot across them. Pizza is definitely outstanding and must be tried.

And the food...OMG, the food. The smoked duck breast was spectacular. Truly amazing. The mushroom pizza was delicious, and I honestly couldn't stop eating it. We also had the ricotta, egg, truffle, and kombucha pasta. It was good, just not quite as incredible as everything else. The egg inside was cooked solid, and I think if the yolk had been just a little runny, it would have taken the dish completely over the top. Such a great dinner. Can't wait to come back!

The bacon scone was absolutely outstanding, however you have to ask for butter for this, which is a must, but that was the only thing for a $325 brunch bill for 4 people. The entrees were cold when we received them, and one took so long to get that it was actually comped by the restaurant. The steak and egg benny was okay. The egg was overcooked and only jammy and not runny, and the croissant which had the steak on it was super oily and gross. There is a reason why a biscuit or english muffin is used in this dish, so whoever decided a croissant was a good idea is not smart, or eating the current weekend chef's food. The potato frites super greasy and oily as well as cold. Draining them on a paper towel would have been clutch. We had other entrees that no one finished because of the quality and taste of the food. It would have been helpful if the kitchen staff put the food under a salamander or heat light. If they have one of these, it certainly wasn't working that day in proper order. This is not a place I would ever go to brunch again. Maybe I would try dinner have one of their cheaper dinners as the $34 benny was overpriced and underperforming. I am giving this place three stars rather than one because the service was great unlike the food.

The brewery splits their offerings between Jolly Pumpkin sours and North Peak Brewing Company's variety of styles. My husband ordered a Jolly Pumpkin pint right away. I wanted to try a flight but needed time to choose. Our bartender Lenice gave me all the time I needed. When a couple of my picks weren't available, she brought me samples of other beers to try. I liked one of the samples. Jason, the manager, helped me make my final selection. I don't typically drink sours, but these weren't the kind that make you pucker. They were subtle. Definitely my kind of sours. Jason shared stories about the brewery's history and owner. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the place really came through. Lenice stopped by a few times to check if we needed anything. Both Lenice and Jason made this visit memorable. Lenice kept the energy light and friendly. Jason's passion for his work and the brewery added depth to the experience. If you're in the area and want good beer with even better service, stop by Jolly Pumpkin Brewery.
