I made the appointment at 3:30, was arrived at 4:15 and was seen and on my way out the door by 4:45. That being said -- I wasn't rushed. I just didn't have to wait, he came in, talked with me at length, both about what was going on and some things that proved how well he knows his stuff and how long he has been doing this (30+ years). However, he seems to be completely up on new info and medicines. I'd highly recommend!

My husband has been a patient of Dr Chiara's for years. After several moves (further and further away from his main office in Milford) he/we are still coming to his practice for any skin concerns we may have. We love the Novi office because it is a lot closer to us than Milford, but we just as gladly drive the additional half hour. Heck, we'd drive to Grand Rapids if we had to. Setting up an appointment is easy, and they do their best to get you in as soon as possible. Talk to Oxana (the Dr's wife) or Lisa (she's awesome) and you will receive stellar service, because both are super friendly and professional. Dr Chiara himself is patient, sweet and wonderful. He will do anything to get you better, and genuinely cares about your progress and well-being in the process.

It was 91* on this August afternoon and the office, waiting and procedure rooms were clean and very cool not warm or hot at all. I paid out of pocket at checkout and $399.00 was my bill. Yes of course United Healthcare denied my coverage with their explanation "it was determined this service is not medically necessary". Why is allowed that some moron sitting behind a cubicle in Minnesota allowed to override my sports dr opinion and treatment? Anyway, the staff here at MRI of Southfield are friendly, explain things as we go along, professional and accommodating. Just FYI, the same MRI at Henry Ford is $415.00 and they were scheduling into October. We will definitely come back for any imaging needed in the future.

They billed BCBS $420 for a "surgery". No anesthesia or cutting were performed. No expensive equipment utilized. And yet they feel they have the right to charge $420 for this. That's on top of $466 just to walk in the door for a total billed of $866. The contracted price brings this down to $269 which is still absurd. This is insurance fraud plain and simple. They billed a surgery for something that should not have been charged considering the walk in the door fee. The billing department was totally uninterested in this matter and never returned my calls. He told my son listen to me if you don't want those use only zest soap in 1 month they'll be gone. I felt horrible when he told me you never pop bumps like that you'll scare him for life. I felt like the worst mom ever! Fast forward to 5 months zest used twice a day for a month no change. Finally made another appointment yesterday with a different dermatologist who said yes they are white heads want me to get rid of them. She explained he's only and the white heads never came to a head. She got them all and now with just a few little spots will heal up in a week. She recommended rentina to stop future problems.
