If I could give zero I would!!! STAY AWAY!!!!! I went to go get a lump checked out along with a rash. After multi months of waiting for my appointment I go in only to have the doctor touch my head with her finger and tell me I'll come back to resolve it. Next appointment- I get seated in a surgical looking room getting prepped for a removal, that had not been discussed of any kind. I promptly told the assistant I wasn't there for any procedure, she then went and got the doctor where again after expressing my concern to take her job literally and examine or take a sample to test of the lump on my head. She again did the "exam" with her finger said I was good and not further would be needed. I am now getting charged $100 for a woman who didn't take her job seriously to have touched my head like my mother would have done. Also the entire staff is rude and snobby and snarky. Top notch, knowledgeable, compassionate staff. I had cyst that needed some attention on my elbow. I called them up, and was seen the same day. I was warmly greeted as soon as I arrived. I immediately noticed how bright and clean the office is. Then, I was thoroughly impressed by the entire staff. Doctor Goldsmith arrived in my room quite soon after I was taken back. Very friendly. Excellent bedside manner. She listened to everything I had to say. She sent me home with a prescription to address my elbow. The following day, my cyst ruptured. Doctor Araithi Goldsmith: I went the first time when I had a strange rash all over my arms and legs, doctor was certain I had contact dermatitis despite not using anything new in over a decade, she still told me to start eliminating one thing at a time. She also advised me to take steroids. She even had her older dermatologist mentor or colleague that had more decades of experience check out my rash since she wasn't at all certain what I had and he wasn't sure what I had, whether it was viral or bacterial. They were even going through a medical book to see what my rash might look most like, this was absolute nonsense. She was satisfied stating it was some contact dermatitis. I was given steroids and after taking it a few days I went from rashes to full blown huge blisters all over my arms and legs and they were leaking constantly. The steroid had aggravated my condition and made it 100x worse. As soon as I stopped taking the steroids the blisters settled down and started to heal. She of course stated that was the natural process of the rash healing itself and that it had nothing to do with me stopping the steroids. I am back again since I have the same rashes on my arms and different hives on my neck and face. I was trying to keep an open mind and hoping the doctor would have more experience since my first encounter with her back in 2015. My hopes were dashed since she wanted to make sure whatever I suggested was not fact, that she's the expert and knows most definitely that all of the rashes are due to contact. I couldn't believe she was spinning the same BS as back in 2015. It took a lot for me to follow up on this appointment 100 since yesterday and even today. I was already thinking she would be so closed minded and I was 100% correct. Their newer office location looks way better at least. Looks like they have expanded with more beauty and facial treatments since then. Had a 1:30pm appointment and in the room by 1:55pm, doctor came in by 2:05pm, only 35 minutes late. I told her the rashes on my arms were the same as what I had back in 2015 and it was due to too much sugar in my body, she told me I was wrong and that I couldn't get a rash from eating too much sugar and that it was something I touched, contact dermatitis, even though it was on my arms, legs and stomach. She said it must have been something I touched or came into contact with and there's no way it's from food. I told her I don't garden and didn't use any new lotions or perfumes or detergent. She's absolutely and resolute that it had to contact related. I told her as soon as I quit eating any fruit it started to recess and heal, she said a contact dermatitis rash would do the same. She said the random rash on my neck and face must also be something I came into contact with as well. It was beyond frustrating to talk to this doctor who has a God-like exaggerated complex and can't even fathom that foods could possibly yield such rashes on the body since it doesn't look exactly like the pictures from her medical books. I was utterly peeved that this doctor kept cutting me off and wouldn't even listen to me when I mentioned it could be food related. How obtuse and narrow minded could this doctor possibly be. I wish they would make doctors take a year or more of nutritional physiology training instead of the couple of weeks that they clearly slept through. I felt like a mute and just a number being talked at as she rattled the litany of Rx creams and lotions to have me buy when I have cortisone at home already. I don't feel I got a good solution and was told to come back in 2 weeks so she could lecture me again and tell me I was wrong and ridiculous to think my rashes could possibly have anything to do with foods. Please work on your people skills and maybe read up on food interactions to the body. I feel I have read more up on the subject than the doctor ever did during medical school or during residency. The front desk and nurse are nice and actually make you feel more than just a number and patient at least and they actually would hear me out. This is the second dermatologist in Dearborn I have met that lacked bedside manners. Why is that? This and my first visit with this doctor was almost tragically the same, she comes across as very standoffish. She does not like to be close to a patient. She is most definitely hands off, compared to my general and OB physicians, she stood a few feet away from me and looked at my rashes and determined what they were, not needing to look any closer nor even examine them at all. I was really hopeful that I had found a good dermatology office after moving to Dearborn a couple years ago. The office was nice and we were brought into the room quickly. My son had some small bumps on his back that they applied medicine to, the whole visit took 5 minutes. About an hour after we got home he started screaming in pain. The medicine had made his skin blister so badly. He's only 3.5 years old so I was absolutely horrified and heart broken that I had put my child through this for aesthetic reasons. To top it all off, I received a bill for $290 for this "procedure." Even after calling to discuss this bill there was nothing they would adjust. I will NEVER go back to this office. read more
