Absolutely horrible. There was an altercation with my sister and rich where the was physical contact and the police were called. Also the driving instructor was Rich. However, Mark claims there's never been an issue with Rich before. This place is a joke. P.s. My Jeeps dash cam caught the altercation. Which clearly shows Rich getting in my sisters face and everything, but when Rich reported it to Mark, he said that my LITTLE SISTER was the aggressor. read more

Terrible. During my daughters test the guy acted like he didn't want to be there. He didn't explain the point system. She failed and he told het to come back in 24 hours on a Sunday. We get there and nobody there. The lady in the office was rude and well. Do not go there. read more

i took segment one over the summer at port huron northern, i had Ms Compton in class, we where her first class she taught and i would say she did a outstanding job. I took my drives with mr w, i had a overall really good experience. i'll be back for segment 2 read more

Please go somewhere else. My kids did the classes in school so seems simple to use them for our road test. We tested once and failed. (No issues with that, it happens) first photo is my text scheduling the next test. We were there 30 minutes early for this test and we were told we did have an appointment. (Text seemed clear) I was told I didn't confirm, you can see I did with "sounds perfect" They call the owner/schedule guy? And he says to come back the next Sunday at 1 and it will be free. I confirm, on the phone with the guy, in front of their examiner and my son and we leave. Really concerned with this company I text a confirmation for the up coming test. Photos 2 and on where our correspondence. We practiced all Saturday evening the week before to be turned away, we practiced again all this week and if not for my double checking we would have been turned away again. If you have not gone to this test with a teen, let me tell you the stress is real, kids are nervous, practicing is a must and to have rude/mean examiners and unreliable service? Save yourself some anxiety and call somewhere else! I used this company for my daughter and just assumed I had a normal experience. We did not, we went somewhere else and the instructor was NICE, welcoming, forth coming, calm and took extra time to explain everything. The best of all?? They kept the appointment. I got a Yelp account just to review this place- that's how bad my experience was. I have literally never written a bad review in my life, even when I've had poor experiences- however, I've never had as bad as an experience as this and really want to save anyone from having a similar one. The guy that answered the phone when I originally called to schedule my test was quite warm and professional- I'm not sure his name, but he was lovely. So, apologies to him. However, I REALLY wish I had read the reviews before I chose this place to take my test. Peruse and you will see, the reviews on here and Google from 2018 and before are quite positive, but the vast majority after 2018 are abysmal, and all have similar complaints. I had the exact same experience. The tester was exceedingly rude, never introduced himself, and made a snide comment about masks (which now ARE recommended for fully vaccinated people). I understand this isn't enforceable by law, and that it is everyone's choice, but if the instructor will refuse to wear one in MY vehicle, that should be made known beforehand. That's fine, but I would have tested elsewhere had I known that was the case. He was hostile, unfriendly and antagonistic from the start, and made me incredibly uncomfortable, which in turn made me exceedingly nervous. I have had a license before, never had any tickets or points, was a great driver. I was failed, which honestly isn't what I take issue with, that's fine, I should have been failed- he made me so uncomfortable, anxious and on edge, I did make mistakes I wouldn't have otherwise. I was told I would kill children because I stopped 10 feet in front of a stop sign instead of 15. "Do you want to kill children?" No. Of course I don't. Instructions on what to do were confusing and mumbled. I just got increasingly more uncomfortable and anxious due to his general demeanor. It completely threw me off to the point where I was shaking and almost in tears. It got to the point where I simply asked if we should stop the test, so he could drive. After being repeatedly told I was going to kill people, I'm a little confused as to why that option wasn't taken. Again, I take no issue with the fact I was failed. I should have failed. I was so shook up, I just wanted to stop. I should have insisted that I did. My issue is with the demeanor in which the test was conducted. I also have seen the responses by this company to negative reviews and I think that speaks volumes. The response is constantly "if him not wearing mask/ him smelling like alcohol (to be fair, this was NOT part of my experience, I saw it another review)/ being rude from the start was such "an issue", then why did you even go ahead with the test?" Zero culpability taken by the company, it is all YOUR fault, no responsibility taken on their part. Seems like a lot of people have the exact same experience. That would concern me, as a buisness owner. However, the one thing we can agree on is that I shouldn't have taken the test after feeling uncomfortable from the start. Hopefully this saves you from having to make that decision yourself. Take your test somewhere else. Seriously such an awful experience. read more

Horrible road test service! Intimidating, rude, uncommunicative, grumpy man made my kid twice as nervous as he already was. Failed his parking immediately, got in his car and drove away. No instruction, no suggestions, didnt care at all. My son has almost completed his private pilots license and can park a car! When i asked for a refund he called my kid "clueless". Clearly, this is a scam to get people to pay multiple times. We went somewhere else 2 days later and he passed with flying colors. This place stole my 50 bucks! read more

This driving schools road and parking test instructor Rich and supposed owner Mark were rude and very unprofessional. When going for the parking and road test with my teenage daughter there was no or very little direction. Rich often mumbled instructions and when asked to clarify he was irritated with us. He made my kid cry as she failed with no sympathy or concern at all. Rich should not be in this line of business. Talked to Mark the owner and he was just as rude and insulted me several times calling me ignorant, a liar and stupid for merely trying to figure out why my daughter failed and to let him know that his employee was very rude and unprofessional. Please go elsewhere for the parking and road test because these two fellows are inept at their jobs and dealing with youth. Zero Stars for these rude human beings. I just finished segment 1, class time was good. Driving was a bit of a struggle. The coach instructor guy made me really uncomfortable. Mr.G on the other hand was very nice. Passed and got my permit. Very pleasant other than I few minor setback. read more

I'm over 18 I didn't take classes only the test. My instructor was very rude and unprofessional yelling at me as if I'm an idiot. I've been driving for years and I'm very safe. My issue was I was using a way bigger car than I'm used to and he was just berating me asking if I even practiced. Seemed irritated that I didn't know how the test was going to go and what I should do when he blows his whistle. He probably though that since I was older I was just retaking the test and had done it before. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

My kids had a great experience at Michigan Driving School! They LOVED their teachers! They really do everything they can to make the experience as fun and educational as possible! I can't recommend them highly enough! Great prices too! Best in the area! read more
