Better get seated in a very comfy seat with some popcorn because you're in for a long, crazy review. I signed up with Michigan Introductions in August 2022 & paid $6K for 14 intros. The process started out very rocky with a very mismanaged organization. Bounced around from one matchmaker to another & was never notified of a change. I had to discover it when I would try to contact who I thought was my matchmaker. They switch telephone numbers constantly. Every time I got a call, it was a new number. I never knew which one to call. Emails were no better. They treat you like a number & when situations come up like 2 that were actually traumatic experiences, they speak to you with no empathy or understanding. Reassigned to another matchmaker; I'd have to remind them of my requirements & the introductions were FAR off. Beyond my age, height (I am 5'), distance, etc. Reminding them of the requirements was futile. One introduction was unstable. I was literally terrified to meet him & the thought would put me in tears. They clearly don't do a thorough background check on everyone. Many were so far physically from my preference. I also insisted on matches with men of non-denominational faith, but matched with men practicing organized religion & one possibly involved in a cult. I discovered one man posted a picture of himself on social media standing between two topless women who had a lasso around his neck. Months & months would go by with no communication from them, no introductions. I had to constantly reach out to them for a status to make sure I didn't fall off the radar. The one and only star I give goes to LeighAnn. She did seem to "try" to match my preferences, but often fell short as well. In the end, I believe they shorted me 3 introductions. But disputing the ones I felt shouldn't even count was met with dry, matter of fact talking points. They don't care what you went through. You're just a number. After almost 4 years, they assigned me to another person who returned my call only to tell me my membership has expired & I have reached my number of introductions. At no time did they ever discuss what number they felt the latest introduction was against my 14. I was always completely in the dark. Then suddenly they expired my membership with no warning or even a notification (as they told me it was expired awhile back). I would really be curious about some of the 5-star reviews given by clients who are actually just starting. I would love to hear their stories in the end. In conclusion, if you value your money, time & sanity, do NOT sign up with this company. read more

I became so disappointed with the dating sites that I decided that if I invested in a matchmaking service I could find quality dates. Boy, was I wrong. I was impressed with the office in Birmingham. Jen was very attentive and told me there were many men in my age group. My first date was nothing that I had an interest in and so on it went. My matchmaker did not return my calls and I had to pitch a fit to get any attention. I am on social security and put myself in debt to date men I could have easily met on a free dating site. I could have purchased an Hermes scarf and belt and many Botox injections for the price I paid. If anyone reads this could you direct me to a lawyer. TIA read more

I took this company to small claims court, and I won! They deserve zero stars! I signed a contract with Michigan introductions in October of 2021, leaving a deposit and agreeing to monthly payments for the service I chose. My first introduction was so far off from what I was looking for that I told my matchmaker that I wasn't able to accept it as one of the five introductions I paid for. The next time I heard from my matchmaker was at New Year's to wish me happy holidays. January went by, February went by, and I hadn't heard from her, so I placed a call to customer service and to her. In March, I placed another call and left a message on customer service, and still I received no response. I kept leaving messages on customer service and never received a call back until I finally got a hold of someone in June after I had stopped my automatic payments for the service. They said the reason I hadn't heard from anyone is because my account had inadvertently been put on hold. That didn't answer why I never got any calls back regarding the messages I left on the customer service line. After a lot of discussion with corporate about how unhappy I was with the service and how numerous calls to the customer service number gave me no results. So I took them to small claims court, and I was awarded over $2,000 back. Please don't use this service they don't have your best interest in mind. read more

I went in with high hopes and ended extremely disappointed. They asked me my wish list of a man. I explained that I was looking for and equal, professional, clean cut, athletic, like myself. The first match they sent me on was with someone who was not athletic at all, not a professional, and when I showed up, I had to put my glasses on because I though he was a woman, since his hair was longer than mine, (and mine is mid back). The second date was not much better... he showed up in a holey worn-out t-shirt, and lost himself in his own conversation of Dr. Who movies. The third one was so uneventful, I can't recall much of it. I was supposed to get 6 dates. I did much better on my own, on fitness singles. I spent a ridiculous amount of money for 3 of the worst dates of my life with Michigan Introductions. DON'T DO IT!! No one will be able to match you up better than you can yourself. read more
