On several occasions, it seemed as though staff were too busy to provide updates or follow through on promised callbacks. While I eventually received information regarding my motorcycle, the lack of proactive communication made the process unnecessarily frustrating. The facility itself is impressive, clean, and representative of the Ducati brand. Unfortunately, the customer service experience did not reflect the same level of professionalism. A simple courtesy phone call or email update can make a significant difference in maintaining customer confidence and satisfaction. In any service oriented business, customers should not have to repeatedly reach out for basic status updates. Improved communication and follow up procedures would go a long way toward enhancing the overall customer experience. I hope Ducati Detroit takes this feedback constructively, as the dealership has the potential to provide a service experience that matches the quality and reputation of the motorcycles it sells and supports.

They made what can be a somewhat intimidating experience for a "newbie" into something that got me excited to participate more. They knew from the initial conversation that I had just bought a bike and was not in the market, just "kicking tires," but treated me as if I'd just bought the top of the line bike from them. The store was clean, well organized, and both gorgeous and cozy...kind of hard to explain, but it'll make sense if you're there, lol. Absolutely the best dealership experience I've had of any kind, including the service at a (again unnamed) luxury car dealership a month or so before for a new car I'd picked up.

Andy, the owner of Richmond Motorcycle Parts, truly listened to my concerns about my bike and made recommendations to fix it appropriately. Andy goes above and beyond in terms of service. On Christmas Eve my motorcycle broke down at a local gas station. Although he was within minutes of closing his shop, he came to my location, loaded the bike on his trailer, and took it to my house. I made a contribution to a charity on Andy's behalf being that he refused payment for this task. I would recommend Richmond Motorcycle shop to anyone who rides as they are trustworthy and fairly priced. Richmond Motorcycle Parts special ordered a shift lever for my bike just recently. Again, the price was within reason for the parts. For the biker with moderate mechanical ability, Richmond Motorcycle Parts has a variety of parts available for the minor maintenance that always needs to be done. Naturally since I'm a Ferndale resident I thought I'd give them a try since they're so close and they're a custom shop from the Motorcity. I've been trying to get a hold of these guys all week for a repair on my foreign bike. Between them not returning phone calls or just not answering their phone repeatedly they must be either really really busy or just have really poor customer service. I'm guessing the latter. I began calling other shops in the area and realized that DB's prices were alot steeper for comparative work. I also found that depending on who I talked to at DBs, that the price fluctuated for their services that should've been a flat rate and were elsewhere.
