There are a few vending machines with snacks and beverages (Pepsi and Coke products), and they even had cream soda! What?! I never see cream soda in a vending machine. There's also an ice cream vending machine, too. The outside has some grassy areas for pets to do their business, and a few places to walk them. If you need to stop and use the restroom, this is a great place to do so.

It's clean, modern, and stocked with a few fast food options like Sbarro and Dunkin as well as a 7-11. There's plenty of room for both cars and trucks to park as well. The gas prices are a few cents more than off turnpike places though but all pumps were working when I visited. I didn't get any food on my last visit but I had previously gotten a 7-11 slurpee and my 7-11 rewards were accepted here. I'd drive the extra few miles to gas up here again.

Westbound between Detroit and Kalamazoo, this rest area is clean, peaceful, offers an easy lane for slowing down off the highway and enough room to get back onto the highway with good visibility. The building is the same as other MDOT rest areas I've seen with bathrooms, vending machines, a map of the local area, picnic tables, a dog walking area and some shady spots (depending on the angle of the Sun) for a brief snooze. Not too many spots for semis and RVs, but there is some room. I imagine it gets quite busy in the evenings and overnights. The car parking area does not have any shade but there are some areas where you can get out of your car to picnic or walk dogs. Inside, there are maps of the local area and decent vending machines. It is a great, available, convenient place to stretch my legs and to relieve myself after being cooped up in the car and they also have a separate area that has maps and vending machines if you need to grab a quick snack as well as bringing your pets to relieve here. It has double bathrooms for both men and women with separate dual entries. It was clean, well stocked, well maintained and didn't lack anything from all the time I've come here.

I thought it was cool the front desk worker knew when the partial lunar eclipse would be happening as I had my timing mixed up. Room was clean. Carts for luggage were easy to access. They were running a special where you picked a lollipop from a tree and if it had a color on the end of a stick, you could win fabulous prizes. We didn't get a color but got two free bottles of water. Breakfast was good. Love when they have real (not instant) oatmeal. The area was clean and it was easy to find seating to enjoy breakfast. Overall nice stop.

I definitely stay there again. very nice Motel.
