Juan was able to come out and assist me with a tow very fast and professionally. My new brake pads were defective and started smoking, he was able to get to my location within 20 minutes and get me loaded up in less than 5 minutes. The entire tow from calling to drop off only took about an hour :) This is a very friendly and understanding company, and they have very respectful and fast workers. Just got off the phone with them. Honestly rude experience. I was on my way to work and got a flat tire. Had GEICO set me up with them and so I called to confirm my tow and to let them know the address submitted for where I was at was incorrect. they let me know they didn't have the request. I told them I'd call back in 10. I called back and got a really dismissive attitude for no reason and still no request from GEICO. I called GEICO to see what's going on, on their end and they called the towing company. The support also let me know they were giving her an attitude and let her know they don't have anyone driving past 11pm and they have a system that automatically accepts calls. So overall it's weird they didn't just tell me that from the beginning instead of waisting my time as I'm stuck on the side of the freeway at 12am. If they're automatically accepting calls but have no drivers how does that make sense? GEICO ended up setting me up with a new company for a tow. Then 10 mins after that call I get a call from a tow truck telling me that he's at the spot I was trying to correct with Mickis. He was there to pick me up and he works with a berkely towing company that works with Mickis tow. It's honestly a hot ass mess. read more

The least compassionate or transparent customer experience I've ever had. I was a victim of an car accident and only referred to Micki's via GEICO insurance. I was given an ETA of 1 hour from their app. I called the dispatcher and he confirmed a pick up "within the hour". It was approx. 11:00pm 1 hour later, I call the dispatcher to check a new ETA since their app never updated. He again says, pickup "within the hour". Another hour passed as I'm stuck on the side of the road unable to drive and without any additional information or assistance. After 2 hours, I get a call from a restricted number, who says they are the driver and coming with 15 minutes ETA. He doesn't arrive. Each time I call the dispatcher for an ETA or any help, he is clearly annoyed and tells me company policy doesn't allow me to speak with the tow driver directly. Says the driver might need gas. Turns out the dispatcher was given him inaccurate directions, never asked me to triple confirm my location and then blames me for telling him a wrong location (2+ hours ago!!!). Ex. I'm on Exit 7B, 1/2 mile away from Exit 7A and Fish Ranch Road. He sends the truck to Fish Ranch Road... Then blames me??? Hour 3 and I see the truck, wrong side of the highway, repeatingly passing over our location. I'm on the phone with the dispatcher trying to to wave the truck down, he is on the phone with the driver as middleman, not sure why that wasn't done at the very beginning. He asks if my blinkers are on... They are not only on but I'm surrounded by the remains of my broken car, 3+ hours after GEICO connected me to their towing service. The car and I were finally picked up at 2:20am The driver is not to blame. Tow truck driver damaged my vehicle by snapping my gear shift off the steering column with a tire iron claiming he had to remove it in order to place my vehicle in neutral to tow it and my car wouldn't start either so his options were limited according toHe watched a YouTube video to see how to put it into neutral....inexperienced??? It's taken me a few years to leave this review, because I couldn't figure out the name of tow truck company, but I just found it in the notes on my phone. Anyway, one day I was driving from Livermore to visit my boyfriend in San Francisco. I had just driven past the Oakland Zoo sign on 580 when my gas pedal suddenly gave out underneath my foot and completely stopped working. I made it to the side of the road as quickly as I could, just before my car ran out of juice. I immediately called AAA. With it being well over 90° that day and with nowhere for me to go outside of my car, I made it clear to dispatch that I felt I was in an unsafe place to be stopped, and needed help ASAP. Unfortunately, it took about an hour and a half for the tow truck driver to arrive, but that was because AAA had miscommunicated exactly where I was stopped on the freeway. When my driver Bernard finally arrived, he was the kindest human I could've hoped for. He immediately grabbed a water bottle out of backpack for me because he could tell I had been dying in the heat! He offered to stop to get something for me to eat, and continued on with genuinely easy conversation on the drive back to Livermore. I am not a people person by any means, and I don't really enjoy small talk, but I really felt so comfortable and relaxed with Bernard. For it being such a stressful situation, he really made me feel at ease. I really appreciated his kind, humanistic demeanor, especially as a young woman who was alone on the side of a busy highway. Obviously, years later, I still think about what an inherently good person he was, and how fortunate I was to have him as my driver that day. Driving home from work (I'm an educator), the driver of Micki's towtruck came barreling down the shoulder off the freeway passing like 10 cars on the exit ramp, driving into the bike lane and forced his large vehicle over into my lane of traffic JUST so he could get ahead. Towed through AAA they delivered my car and the driver hit my gate and damaged it. The company was in a rage when they were informed about their driver hitting my gate and were upset and rude about the entire situation that I even complained. The driver said it's my fault because I didn't guide him out of my yard, I'm sorry you can't drive for shit.. A complete shit company. AAA does nothing about it either. Quality of the tow company 1/10, because atleast they got it from point A to point B which is 10 minutes apart lol. There's no correct contact information for the owner. The workers text and change their names and their company titles, one moment they only are the intake person who gathers information, next minute their the "manager" and the decision maker for the entire company. Make it make sense. They talk to you like they're in the hood like they'll physically fight you if you were face to face. Just overall trash customer service. I had to leave a review hopefully the next person sees this before they hire them. Oh, not to mention I had ring camera footage of this but they refused to show me their footage because "all their trucks have video. My neighbors and family members were outside to witness it. This is the absolute worse place for towing! AAA requested that the company tow my car. I had to wait two and a half hours for a tow because the driver said that they were short staffed. In the midst of trying to get my car on to the truck bed, the driver, Kim, ended up breaking my steering gear. He was very apologetic and wrote down his name, driver number and his boss, Vincent's, information, whom he called while on the scene. Vincent was not only rude but refused to take any responsibility for the accident caused by his driver. He yelled and screamed at me when I tried to explain that both the driver and I heard when the part broke AND the driver admitted to using too much force. I am stuck with a $3500 bill because of this company. NEVER EVER use this tow service. You've been warned!! They do not care about their customers at all. read more

Just had a great experience with Micki's Towing! Driving to Oakland from Walnut Creek, my low tire pressure light turned on and I was able to pull into the Ikea parking lot. I called my insurance company and they sent me a link to download their app to request roadside assistance. Unfortunately on my insurance company's app there wasn't a "low tire pressure" option, just a "flat tire and towing" option. I chose the flat tire option, and my Insurance company contacted Micki's Towing for me and sent me a text with their phone number. I called Micki's Towing with my dispatch number to let them know it was just low pressure and I wasn't in need of an entirely new tire and/or towing, and the guy who answered the phone kindly let them know to change the service. Thankfully that also changed my wait time from an hour and a half to only forty-five minutes! My service provider, whose name was Mike/Michael, was extremely efficient and friendly! My car didn't alert me as to which tire was low, so Michael checked all my tires and refilled them if needed. Unfortunately my low tire pressure light was still on, so he triple checked all four tires for nails, had me back the car up to check the underside of the tires, and watched and listened for any air escaping. He couldn't find anything else but he said my tires were OK. Once he left, I did some of my own research and learned that I just needed to recalibrate my tires by pressing and holding the low tire pressure button to reset it! The light thankfully went away and I was able to get home safely. Big thank you to Michael for your kindness and diligence! This was actually my first time receiving roadside assistance so I'm glad it went as well as it did. Five stars! read more

Had a flat tire when my wife was driving, called AAA roadside they sent a truck from Micki's Towing. The technician tightened the lug nuts with an impact wrench, over torqued one of the lug nuts causing the stem to break when the mechanic at Honda was removing the lug nuts to put on a new tire. I contacted AAA they had me contact Micki's. I've called them four times now, have provided the $800.00 dollar bill that Honda charged me to replace the stem. Each time I call the person on the phone tells me someone will call me back. This has been going on since October. Never Ever Use Micki's Towing! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Micki's. My car was vandalized this past weekend and Geico helped schedule road side assistance to come tow my car back to my residence. Within two hours Micki's was able to pick it up and showed up on the dot. They were on time and even fixed my ignition since my steering wheel had been taken apart so that my key could start the car. The reason why I can say they did such a great job was because how horrible the next towing company Geico ordered for me was. Compared to United Towing 510, Micki's wasn't late, was able to actually get onto my street (United canceled on me after saying my neighborhood was inaccessible due to construction), and was responsive in letting me know when the time for pick up had to be pushed by about 30 minutes. I found it extremely easy to talk to the tow truck driver instead of United where I had to go through their front desk/support person instead of the driver directly. Because United didn't come on time and subsequently cancelled on me, I had to take time off of work to check out the situation. Micki's could have easily picked up my car without me being at my residence and I really should have just asked Geico to schedule me with them instead in the first place. Highly recommend them if you need a tow. read more

In spite of me giving their dispatcher the address three times. They are angling to collect the towing fee from the insurance company without having to actually provide the service. Stranded in Oakland from 3:30-9: o'clock As a woman in the heart of Oakland in a Mercedes Benz the service was Absolutely horrible! AAA contracts with them! The Driver striped my lug nut then said " I am not going to throw my back out after stripping two of the lug nuts! He proceeded to drive off leaving me there! I had to call back. This boy had issues when he arrived. He had already texted he was there when he wasn't. I had to call and report that. I am absolutely heartbroken by the service this company has delivered. I strongly believe this is by far a F rated business by the Behavior of the boy! I would also submit that the other tow companies second my belief. I've used these guys 3 different times and each time they lose my request and we call the next day and still waiting for my car to get towed. They once lost my car in their lot for more than a day. I don't know what systems they have in place for tracking information, but it's bewildering. Geico always recommends them for their roadside assistance... and it's always a nightmare. I wish I had gotten the name of the guy who showed up, and Geico hasn't completed the invoice yet, so I can't credit him. I was stranded in Alameda today when I hit a curb and popped a tire. I needed my spare put on, so Geico assigned me Pop a Lock, whom I already had a nightmarish previous experience with. Long story short: they never showed. But Micki's showed 10 minutes after getting called out, so f*** yeah! Thank you, Micki's! That was really, really awesome to swoop in and make my day that much less terrible. Super shady people, the tech they sent out to me "arrived" at my location for a battery service. Called me on a blocked number which my phone automatically rejected. Obviously I couldn't call back since it's a blocked number. I messaged him trying to find him through the AAA app and no response. Turns out he drove away after reporting to AAA he arrived. And he didn't. I was in my car waiting for him. Waited another 2 hours. I tell AAA on multiple phone calls to confirm with him my location and floor within the parking garage. SAME guy comes and "arrives" on the AAA app. No phone call. No tow truck. Nothing. I message him on the app again asking where he is since I have no phone number to call him directly with. Nothing. Panicked, I have been at my car now for 6 hours, I run 3 flights down the garage to the main level where I see him outside, chilling on his phone. I would basically avoid anything or anyone else over this company. I mean it. I would rather be scratched by a feral raccoon if it meant I'd never have to deal with these shady people again. read more

I was on the side of an unlovely road outside of a tow yard with my damaged car, waiting endlessly for triple A to show up. They called and said they were having trouble finding a local partner to tow my car. A guy driving into the yard told me that Micki's tows for AAA and they weren't doing much. I did some calling around and figured out that AAA was communicating poorly. I talked to Micki's and then called AAA again and said Micki could do it. Micki called me and said they were coming, which was much needed encouragement by that time. My car was hard to tow and they had to send a different truck, and they got the job done. Everyone was really nice and obviously trying their best to get me home. Which they did. I recommend them highly. They will get the job done. read more

Bobby from Micki's Towing came through and saved the day today! My partner and I were lucky to have him be the one to come for a tow after calling Triple A. He asked us about hwat we were experiencing with the car, then looked into it himself. He explained how minerals can build up here and there when this and that happens and so on. Super studied and explained so we could understand. Then he tried to address it then and there with 3 different tool combos. Eventually he worked some magic and started the car so we coud take it to the shop we chose without needing to get it towed! AH-MAZE! Then chatted about listening to Miles Davis earlier that day because my partner was wearing a dope Miles Davies T-shirt. I said I'ma yelp about you!
