I have been an enormous fan of Microart for four years. The first two, I got my brows done the touched up. The third, I ventured into eye liner. This year, Sofia touched up my liner and brows. Looking in the mirror this morning, I marveled yet again with gratitude over her artistry. She had to change the color of my brows to match my now not-dyed hair. It's been years since I've had my scars done and I'm still waiting for the damage from the semi- permanent makeup you've applied to my scars to fade. I've gone to several people and they won't even work on my scars because they are so overworked that there's nothing they can do. It looks like white splotches of paint on my chest even in places where I didn't even have scars to cover. I'm hoping you will do the right thing and pay me back the money I paid you so that I can eventually get some of this taken care of. I'm happy to send you pictures so you understand what I mean. Overly priced. I do not recommend it. I didn't get the results as promised. I felt like my sessions were rushed. I was there on time and the person that treated my scars was always 25 min late. The sessions are 1 hour. Meaning she had to rush the procedure in 35 mintutes, instead of a full hour. I was told I would get a consultation after my 4 treatments, and then I called and they said they can NOT help me. Either I pay for more sessions. (Even though I'm not satisfied with the treatment. Tanya is my new hero. Tiny, unassuming woman, you wouldn't know it to look at her, but she's the real deal Holyfield. Not only does she have the skilled hands to apply mineral pigment into the skin of your face and achieve a flawless uniform appearance, she also invented and designed the equipment she uses. No fooling, she worked with the engineers to create the machine she uses to apply the mineral pigment. She's been in the industry for many many years and the whole concept of using minerals to achieve semi-permanent results was her idea and her baby from the start. I came to Micro Art for eyeliner that never washes off. Now granted, this is a vanity procedure and not something I "need" to feel confident in public. However, Tanya changes peoples' lives everyday by providing a service that some actually DO "need" to feel like they can interact and fit in the world. During my first session with her she told me all about her clients with vitiligo who come to have their skin pigment evened out. I recently watched a Youtube video by a woman who spends a long time every morning applying thick cakey foundation to cover her entire face which is blotchy from vitiligo. I can't imagine the relief and probably disbelief patients with vitiligo experience when they meet Tanya and see for themselves what she can do. My eyeliner is gorgeous! It turns out I have super sensitive eyes so I got a very natural look, instead of a thicker more dramatic lash line, because I wouldn't have been able to tolerate sitting through it. Just disappointing. On my first treatment, I was an half an hour early. There was nobody at the front desk and I waited a whole hour before Tanya came out. Instead of apologizing, she started justifying herself by saying that she had an unreliable host. I didn't say anything and just let it go. Then, the ink for my first treatment all fell out, which was news to me. She conveniently does not mention that the ink falls out on the website or on here. Then I missed my 2nd appointment, and she conveniently talks about the 24hr cancelation policy, but what policy did she follow when she was late on my first appointment. None! I'm looking forward to see if the ink she puts in next falls about too. That would be a sham. read more

I would like to share my experience from MicroArt, where I got my "new eyebrows". I was born a "toe head" 74 years ago, with blond curls & blond eyebrows. In Junior High, I began to experiment with my light brown eyebrows with tweezers....& my eyebrows were a mess. As I aged, my poor eyebrows became thinner & turned grey. I used eyebrow pencil everyday. They never matched & it was so frustrating. Having seen "obvious tattoo eyebrows" that looked so unnatural on other women, I always thought I'd be better off sticking to my trusty eyebrow pencil. I researched a lot of micro-blading and related methods for eyebrow enhancement before I chose MicroArts. I was able to get an appointment immediately and met with Sophia. The facility is in Beverly Hills and the waiting room was comfortable and stylish. The room I was in was spacious. Sophia discussed the MicroArts process and what my goals were. What I really liked is that there is no down time. There is no scabbing after the tattoo, which is applied to the first layer of skin and is matched to the coloring of my brows. Sophia is a professional and an artist. I was pleased with the shape of my brows and the shade. I returned for the final treatment, which ended up filling in and adding a little more volume. I liked Sophia's approach initially to start on the conservative side, and when I returned, I had gotten used to the idea. Sophia and I discussed that I would be comfortable with a little more volume and the shade being a little darker. I was very pleased with the result. Just completed session 1 of 4 and my experience was extremely positive. Within 24hrs of speaking to Tanya, she was willing to see me in person. I really wanted microart to work for me :( it did not. I had to spread my treatments out over 11 months because the weekend availability was super limited. Staff were kind and courteous and punctual, for all but my first session. My first session I had Tanya and she ran behind. I wouldn't say this procedure is painless or that there's no downtown. My face was swollen for a solid 7 days post treatment. That was part of why I couldn't do the treatments in quick succession. I'm now three weeks post- final treatment and it doesn't seem like the make up has stuck. Every treatment I asked if it would stay and they said the layering works builds. I spent over $10k on the treatment and then and additional $1.2k on eye liner which also hasn't stayed. I'm am pretty sad about it- I have vitiligo on my face and was hoping for the dramatic improvements they advertise. I was told that I should pay for a touch up if it doesn't work but I can't risk another $500-600 on a treatment that didn't work. read more

Wasn't very impressed with the results don't think it lasts very long nor matches the color correctly

I never thought I would get something like this. Aways thought it was a pain to draw my eyebrows but felt that it would be more of a pain to get a procedure like this done. Well, this is definitely nothing like permanent make-up or tattooing! All natural, simple procedure, and done in about an hour. Though I still have one more appointment to go (for a follow-up), I'm super happy with the results -- I never have to worry about drawing eyebrows in again (until they fade in a couple years). As for the procedure, you sit in something like a dentist chair...and it hurts just as much (or as little) as if you were getting a teeth cleaning by your dentist but on your eyebrows (if that makes any sense). It's not painful, but if you are sensitive, the prickly feeling does get slightly uncomfortable. However, there are no side effects. My brows got a bit pink and puffy but all went away in a couple hours. Tanya was great. She really took her time but she was totally efficient. A pro. Lovely chatting with her -- she explained everything and I felt totally at ease from the get-go. From getting there to finish, I was out in about 90minutes. The location is pristine -- just make sure you park in the garage and not in the street like me (meters are only for an hour during certain hours in the day) -- luckily the nice lady at the office went out and put in quarters for my car. My lips look amazing! Initially I was nervous about doing this and thought about it for almost one year - all the while watching my top lip become thinner and almost disappear... I had my brows done here about a year ago, and I'm totally glad I did. No one can even tell I have them done. Yes this procedure is on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. I didn't want to risk coming out with sharpie brows so I went ahead and got the payment plan. I payed like $200 up front and $100 a month for 8 months. Yes it does hurt about the same as a tattoo and I had to go twice to get my just the way I wanted. Now a year later they have faded a bit which I like because they blend with my natural hair and look nice when I'm not wearing makeup. I would recommend anyone to go here. I had my brows done and was pleased with the result. I was told that a touch-up would be necessary in about a year. Three months later I needed a small space filled. Not a complete touch-up but just a tiny resistant spot. When I called to make the appointment Tanya told me that touch-ups are $600.00. (I had paid $1200.00 just three months prior) I was expecting to pay for this but when I explained that it was just a small spot she was completely unyielding and repeated "Touch-ups are $600.00." So it's the same whether its a year or a few months after the initial appt? And the same for a full as opposed to a tiny five minute touch up? What a poor excuse for customer service! My Girlfriend had this done on her lips and eyes and the first thing is, there's hardly any pain to this procedure at ALL!! Now, we've had some tattoo's before which can be pretty painful, but this is a whole different thing. I like that it's semi-permanent and not full-on permanent make up.
