Tanya, This is in response to your response to my original review. You never cease to amaze me. Yes, you are correct that I did initially ask you if I could use the $1000 credit in touch ups and apply it to "time in your chair" to start another procedure since I was anxious to get it done. I never asked you to do another more expensive procedure for the price of touchups. That is a blatant lie. I also never bullied you like you state in your response, just told you I was disappointed I couldn't use the "time in your chair" that you owed me for touch ups to start another procedure. You made it abundantly clear you wouldn't do that. Then, you and your assistant were hard to reach to secure the follow up appointment for touch ups. When I finally got though, then you dropped the bomb that my four weeks had expired and any touch ups were null and void and if I wanted touch ups they would be $500 a piece. At that point, I did get irritated with you (and clearly still am) that you have pocketed my $1000 in unfulfilled touchups and have not finished the job at hand. Only at that point, after being outraged with you and feeling robbed, I told you not to expect a good Yelp review from me. Also, knowing how I felt, you later had the audacity to tell me you would give me free touch ups if I did a promotional video for you. How crazy and ludicrous is that? You really don't understand the basics of human relations. How could you even expect that I would even consider "promoting" your work when you have treated me in this fashion? For whoever is reading this - I would like to recommend you to Sheila at Sheila Bella. Unlike Tanya, Sheila goes out of her way for her clients and has extraordinary customer service. She is flexible with dates, easy to get a hold of, quite reasonable and very talented. So far I've done several sessions with her and I'm completely satisfied. In fact, she had to fix the job Tanya did on my eyebrows and after 2 sessions, they finally look amazing and I get compliments on them all the time. Something that never happened with Tanya's work. When I first went to Tanya I was very happy with appearance of her establishment. It is very clean. I went in to get my eyebrows done with her and she was nice and yet I felt rushed. After having two sessions with her I can honestly say that I feel extremely ripped off. Charging clients a $1000 to tattoo ( essentially that is what it is) on eyebrows is a complete rip off. I would be happy if she would have agreed to touch them up for free,even after I expressed unhappiness about them but she still did not. I had two sessions for $1000 and I can say I am not happy with the results. I still have to fill my eyebrows in and now it's just annoying to think I have to do the same thing with my eyebrows I had to do anyways before I went to see her. I think when you charge that kind of money you have a duty to your clients to make sure your clients are happy with the results. If I want her to fix them or touch it up its another $600- She refuses to fix them or touch them otherwise. I know she is located in Beverly Hills but seriously that doesn't make it okay to overcharge clients.- This is not fair for customers that spend their money on something that they ultimately did not get what they paid for. This was a huge treat for myself after having twin girls. I really couldn't afford this but I treated myself. And I am so sad I spent the money. I had my lips done four years ago when you were called 'Naked Ink.' I'd gone in to get my haircut and you guys were set up and working out of the salon Juan Florentiono which is now closed. It was very painful and I wasn't crazy about the color. I did get mine retouched after hunting down the very nice technician, she is pictured above in your before and after pics, who had originally done the work. The last time I was in the same salon one of your technicians looked at my lips and said and I quote 'who did this? You need to contact Tanya and have it fixed.' I tried over and over to get you and to get you to return my call. When you agreed to meet with me you looked at them and said they were 'fine' but you could touch up my eyebrows and only charge half the price which I opted not to do. I then noticed that the ink began to break up on my slips. I had bright blotchy spots of color and then my natural color. I was told the color would just fade away after five years. I was back to spending hundreds of dollars on lipstick this time to cover it up. I tried stains and that Dior lip color that brings out your natural color, but it would only make the tattooed spots darker. I began calling you to complain and had a really hard time trying to get through. I finally got a very pleasant guy on the phone who said he was sorry and that he'd have you call me back. I never heard back. In the meantime I began to look up reviews on Yelp to see if anyone else had had this problem. I saw that everyone was having similar experiences. I contacted the technician who was mentioned in one of the reviews below and made an appointment. She had to work pretty hard on my lips to make sure the splotchy areas were covered. Her staff was great and they called me the next day to see how I was doing. Not only do I find extremely offensive and degrading that you respond to negative commenters by their name in quotations, I also find it amusing that you feel the need to put in quotations everything you are attempting to belittle, such as my "review". For one, I find it extremely tacky that you feel the need to accuse each person who writes a negative review of your company of being a "bitter permanent makeup artist". Not only am I not a permanent makeup artist (nor have I never have been one), but I do not do any type of tattooing period. Nor do I have anything to do with the tattoo industry, or even the beauty industry for that matter (just in case you were to try to throw out more false claims trying to justify why I would have written this review). Secondly, you claim to be a professional who performs semi permanent makeup, but after reading your responses to reviews, I doubt you are going to be gaining any clients based on your sheer ignorance and derogatory nature. It baffles me that I wrote a review about your representatives ignorance of the real art of tattooing (which may be viewed as a cultural and sacred ritual to some) and you once again made another ignorant and derogatory statement to anyone who has tattoos by stating "if we have any clients that want a dragon or bat permanently carved into their face then we'll send them to you". Lastly, your representatives approached me trying to sell me on your services, and I was so taken aback by their comments, statements, and overall demeanor that I felt the need to write this review. This new technology is terrific. After I saw a woman I know get this done, I was amazed at how natural and perfect it all looked. I do some acting, and cannot look like I am wearing make up, so I required a far more subtle look, and NC Micro-Art gives my eyes and lips a much more youthful appearance, totally brings my eyes out on camera, and I immediately started getting a lot of comments about my blue eyes. The owner and senior technician Tanya is a total master of this technology and works with a neurosurgeon's focus, as it really is an art. I've seen that low-rent nasty permanent tattoo make up around on some women who went with the cheapest options and hairdressers who do tatoo on the side. I had been contemplating getting permanent makeup on my eyebrows for awhile, as years of over-plucking my already light colored brows had left me with the appearance of no brows, which is a terrible thing to see in the mirror every morning at my age. As far as I could tell my options were relegated to penciling them on everyday (a morning ritual I dreaded) or getting them "tattooed" on, which made me very nervous. I had seen my mom's friends with tattooed brows, and maybe its ok to have a harsh&nbs p;painted on look when you're old, but I'm wasn't ready for that yet! So after many Google searches and Internet research I decided to go with MicroArt. Why? Because I looked at all the different "permanent makeup" and "semi permanent makeup" places in the Los Angeles area and most the others had really bad looking websites, with little or no information on exactly what they do, and the worst thing... BAD PHOTOS! If the results didn't look good in the company's example photos I sure wasn't going to risk having them touch my face! So I made an appointment to get MicroArt brows on a Friday afternoon, making sure that they knew I had a wedding to go to the next morning and I COULD NOT have any swelling or redness on my face. I arrived still a bit apprehensive, as even though it wasn't technically a "tattoo" it would still be on my face for up to 3 years, so what if I didn't like it??? Tanya was my technician for the procedure, and she was a doll! I explained my reservations and she assured me that I'd look great after the procedure. Then she did the initial shaping and penciling of my brows so I could approve the shape and color... I was AMAZED! My brows looked better than they ever did when I drew them on! So next was the actual procedure. Now I'm no fan of pain, never even got a tattoo when all my friends did in college (thank god!) so this was the moment I had&nb sp;dreamed of where I run out of the building screaming in agony. Needless to say that didn't happen, it was basically just a vibrating sensation (not THAT kind!) and in less than an hour I was done. The results were incredible! I never imagined that it could look so natural. The color and shape was so close to my actual natural brows that it made me look 10 years younger. I couldn't believe I had spent so many years of anxiety and embarrassment constantly worrying about my brows being straight or sweating off at the gym. As a first timer, I was pretty hesitant...especially when you hear "semi-permanent." I had a few girlfriends who had their eyebrows and lips done here so I gave it a go! I was pleasantly surprised and VERY happy with my new and improved eyebrows. As a teen I took a bad fall on my skates and I had a scar across my left eyebrow. Needless to say, I didn't grow hair where the scar was. Now, I have a full eyebrow and it looks totally natural. I'm looking forward to my next experience at this place.....I'm thinking "LIPS" are next! The staff and service was top notch and being in Bev Hills, I wouldn't expect anything less. I just got some Micro-Art done on my face yesterday, and I must say I was pleasantly suprised at the process and the outcome. Brandi McMillan did my work, and she did an amazing job. Even though they say that it doesn't hurt, I was expecting it to hurt a little bit... but OH MY GOSH... all I felt was a buzzing sensation. I was kinda worried that she was going so lightly that it wasn't going to do much... but wow, what a difference!! I look SO GOOD. I had thought about getting tatooed cause I like the idea of not having to slap on make up every time I want to go somewhere... but then I read about this Micro-Art system that uses minerals instead of ink... and it doesn't hurt like tatooing.... and even though it costs a bit more than tatooing, it's healthier, it looks FAR BETTER than the tatoo jobs I've seen, and it gently fades out rather than turning weird colors. In a couple of years, if the styles change or my face sags with age, it will be faded enough to switch it up and do it again without needing a plastic surgeon to first cut out or lazer the old stuff off. I just keep looking in the mirror at myself (no, I'm not vain). It just amazes me that it looks so natural and clean.... but classy at the same time.... and I don't have to be afraid that it's going to wash off. I've always thought that a little bit of eyeliner for my large n pretty eyes was everything I needed for my everyday look-kind of like the type that you put on the inside lid and it kind of fades/smears down some creating a barely noticeable effect, which for me LESS IS MORE. I'm a tad of a hippie and don't really wear make up anyway, aand actually think I look better with less. I was contemplating permanent make up, but saw this place a few years ago when walking around Rodeo Dr- did some research, saved some money and decided to go for it, even though it is TOTALLY out of my budget range. I think it is totaaaally worth it. I'm going to post some pics in a few days. It's so minimal but it makes such a diff. It's so good for surfing, yoga, gym, or just a stoney young on-the-go lifestyle like mine. It also really enhances make up if you do decide to wear it. If you have blonde lashes, I advise tinting them after the procedure- then you will be AMAZED at how it looks. It's like wearing mascara and a tiny bit of eyeliner all the time. So good. For people going in, I would advise to take a Bromelain supplement before the procedure- it's one of the few natural supplements even doctors recommend for inflamation. The less your lids get inflamed the more work you can fit into each of the two appt's you get for a procedure. I would also like to add that my eyelids are irritated really easily, and that I absolutely hate my eyes being touched. It just gives me the weirdest feeling- it's like the one part on my body that I get annoyed with- it's hard to explain. SOOOO- if it is possible, I would suggest taking a small dose of an over the counter painkiller or maybe half of a prescription one, it made SUCH a difference on the second visit. If you aren't as crazy about your eyes being touched as me, maybe it's not really necessary - but so many people have that kind of stuff easily available, and if so, I say use it to help you. The procedure isn't cheap but it's worth it. And yes, there is no down time. The lids are sliiightly swollen for a few hours after but it's hard to believe you just got a mini-tattoo. And Tanya is VERY professional and sweet, definitely likeable. I'm sure I wasn't that easy to work with and fidgeted a lot- but she has a steady hand. SUUUCH a good experience... Went yesterday to have my features redone. It had been four years since the last time, and I am surprised how well the color lasts. I really could've waited another couple years, but I just prefer a more fresh and youthful look. Tanya is a gifted artist with MicroArt technology. As a man, I cannot look like I am wearing makeup, so the art is to bring out a youthful look, naturally and subtly. She did her usual outstanding artistry. Just a little painful in spots, but quite manageable with the numbing cream she uses. And she does just a few seconds at a time in sensitive spots so by the time you notice it is starting to sting a bit, she has already stopped and rested. MicroArt has moved into a stunning beautiful medispa building in BH, something out of a movie. Staff is alert and attentive. Tanya was her usual confident, poised and engaging self. The MicroArt treatment room was immaculate and organized and decorated in a way that is surprisingly pleasant and aesthetic -- a nice surprise compared with similar treatments room I have seen at other medispas for other kinds of cosmetic treatments. I literally have been in more than one hospital Operating Rooms and surgicenters that were not as clean. Not that they weren't "clean" but you could literally eat off the floor in the microart rooms. I like the aftercare products and instructions she provides at the end, seems to be good quality products in a decorative little bag. I really don't understand the couple of negative reviews I've read here today. The quality of the MicroArt is superior, and unlike anything else offered anywhere at any price. I did extensive research before choosing MicroArt. Seems some people are just never satisfied, ever. I had my first treatment on January 6 2014 and I can tell you that this is the ultimate solution to your eyebrows ( that's what I had done ) . It looks so natural and u can't even tell . I am so happy that's why I write a review here to really tell you people , it works ! No more carrying the pencil to color my eyebrows just in case I'll sweat a lot in the gym . Tanya gave me the worst service possible. She was very rude and often cusses a lot when making a mistake. She made a lot of errors and did not know how to do a professional job. She made so many mistakes while doing my makeup, and still charged me full price. I will never again go to Tanya, and there are way more professional and experienced make up artists. read more

I flew out of state to get my procedure done because of the technology micro art uses. It is not like permanent make up. Being of south asian decent I was hesitant as I was skeptical about hyper pigmentation associated with permanent makeup, especially for women of color. But there was no such results after I got my micro art done. The color only appears dark for the first week or so but then fades to a natural lighter color. Tanya did a wonderful job on my lips and I really recommend this. It's a better option than permanent makeup. I just scheduled my retouch and looking forward to it. read more

I was a Micro-Art client a few times and had a couple applications done (lips and eyebrows twice). I was overall happy with the work but would like to state the following and warn other potential clients on how they handle some of their business. My lips were filled and outlined by one of Tanya's employee at that time and she retouched for free soon after the initial app as i found the lips to be a different color from what i had asked for. In the end , the results were pleasing and 1 1/2 years later i am still pleased with the color. On the other hand, Tanya who worked on my eyebrows twice, asked me to look at the work once done and asked if it was ok. During my first session i stated that i may want to have my lines a little thicker. She suggested i wait to make sure. She didn't think it was necessary to add more color in in the event it'd end up looking too dark and unnatural so I didn't want to go against that, as I thought she knew best. Yet, after giving it a bit more thought a few weeks post procedure, I still thought that the results were not what I had originally anticipated and asked for. One eyebrow kept looking lighter than the other , which also had empty spots instead of seeing a continuous line. I didn't want to take the chance on having to re-touch in 6 months as i already had paid $1000 for the procedure. My complain here is that she should have honored to retouch without having to to charge extra right when i asked for no additional charge. It would be a different story if i had a different request on the work but the results were never what i had precisely asked for. On the second application,I think we should have done a little more pigment. I actually got to their new office half hour late, so my work ended up being rushed and uneven this time around too. I understand i put more pressure on her for being late and she had another client coming in but she said that we checked them after they were done to make sure that I liked them, that for clients who want additional work they do offer a very special $300 price if done within 6 weeks of the procedure. My point is that a touch-up should not have been needed at that point. So now again, Tanya is asking for an additional $300 for a touch-up. I'd like to add that beside a couple emails she sent me regarding my concern, i had to wait 3 months for someone to get back to me. At that point, i am just giving up. I will not use her services again , not so much because of the minerals used but there was definitely a lack of professionalism or rather bad faith on her part. I was hesitant posting a review on this, but her procedures are quite expensive and i thought advising potential clients to be very specific before they leave their office or they may have to go through what i went through and end up paying much more for the applications. christelle doktor read more

I am extremely pleased with my Micro Art Semi Permanent Makeup. Tanya did a fantastic job and it looks so much better than my former permanent makeup. The color is very natural looking and I really don't need any lipstick at all with the Micro Art. I would highly recommend Tanya to anyone looking to improve their looks naturally.
