I had my eyebrows done in summer. At first I was too nervous with the whole procedure, just the fact that I don't like to be cut up, especially in the face. But Valentina was soooooo professional about it, she will educate you about the process, went into details as to why you want it, then drew the outline and made sure this is what you want before we go further on. I wanted fuller, thicker, evened eyebrows. She also walked me through what's going to happen next and while I was in the middle of the procedure, we talked about various topics to keep me distracted that a small blade is cutting into my skin. Yes, I drank too much coffee and I was bleeding nonstop, but that didn't bother her, she kept it professional, and the numbing cream really helps!! After an hour or so, she will hand over a paper, stating specific care requirements. I went to Europe, straight after my first session and although I was not suppose to be in direct sunlight, just make sure you're doing your best to stay in the shade, clean it properly and don't let unfiltered water touch the open cuts during the healing process. That was in summer, 4 months ago. Now, I can wake up, come out of the shower and get ready faster because I don't have to worry about wasting time drawing and figuring out if my eyebrows are even every morning before work. Today was the first time I had microblading done, and I'm so glad that I went to Valentina! I do NOT like needles, so I was pretty nervous about the procedure, but Valentina made me feel as at ease as possible. It honestly didn't hurt that bad. She was very kind and attentive to when I needed a break/more numbing cream, etc. I felt like she really cared about my comfort. She measured out the area for each brow to make them as even as possible, and then drew an outline for me to approve. Once that was in place, she began the microblading process. It felt mostly like a bunch of tiny scratches. It wasn't unbearable, and I have a very low pain tolerance. She did an awesome job of distracting me with lots of conversation, which definitely helped! I can't wait for the first week or so to go by so I can see what they are really going to look like, since they are pretty dark right now (which she says will fade). And then 8 or so weeks after your initial appointment you have to go back for a touch up, where she makes everything look even better. Valentina is great, go see her! Valentina did such an amazing job on my brows! She was gentle and explained everything she was doing before she did it. I appreciate that in an artist... and it's really hard to find even if you ask, typically artist will just do what the want... not her! She drew them on the had me take a look, i loved them! Before she started she applied a numbing cream, and throughout the process, she continued to apply cream until I was completely numb. Valentina seems like a very talented person, from the reviews and photos I've seen. I was super excited about this appointment. And she was very nice. But a couple of things made it impossible for me to move forward with her service. 1) when I arrived she told me she had forgotten our appointment (made three weeks earlier) and I was still waiting in the lobby after 45 minutes as a result. Once she did call me back, she also called back another appointment she had booked for lashes at the same time. 2) the lobby was BLARING Fox News, which did not support a relaxing salon experience. Even if I were the type of person who might want to watch that that channel, It was loud had no business being on in a salon. 3) I was left to fill out all of the pages liability paperwork without a person to speak to, sitting alone, 45 minutes after my appointment was supposed to have started, with obnoxious sounds in my ears and obnoxious paperwork handed to me with no explanation or guidance. I ADORE my new permanent liner and brows by Valentina. She did them this morning and I already feel so much prettier! She was efficient, clean (important because as a health care professional I worry about infection, but felt perfectly at ease with her technique...) , and very artistic in her work.
