For my 1st visit to Mid Florida Dermatology, I have no complaints. This location is on Woodbury Rd., on a strip of other businesses, such as Arepa Burger, Marcos Pizza, Woodbury Wines & Spirits, Hawaii Nails & Spa, Capoeira Orlando and Glam Lab Medical Aesthetics. The entrance is hard to see from the street because of the tree. The billing was not smooth. They were supposed to charge my credit card when I arrived, I handed it over, but 30 days later, the bill showed they never did. And they don't tell you upfront that the pathologist will bill you separately. But when I called, all was explained in detail, still couldn't explain why my card was not charged, but they offered a payment plan if needed. i have been a pt for 3 yrs and she looks the same and she treats you like you are the only pt she has at the time you are there her and all of her staff have been so greatfull and very caring with you every min you are there we have never meet a dr like her she is a wonderfull& carring person i really couldnt tell anyone really how special she is people would really have to meet her star rating would never measure up to how great a dr & a person she is but i give her all that i can 5 plus 1000 and more you are one great person & a dr love comming to you read more

First I want to say I really did enjoy my provider Michelle. She was super helpful every visit but unfortunately the staff and answering telephone team were not. My daughter had been on multiple visits over an extended period of time and eventually we all decided it was time to try a more aggressive step for treating her cystic acne. We were sent home with paper work to sign (iPledge documents) and I was to physically return them to the office. The next day, I took some time to drop off the paper work so we could get started on the process as quick as we could. A few days later someone from the office called me and asked when I would be dropping off the signed paper work. I let her know I had already dropped it off and she said okay and that was that. That same day she called back and said the documents must of not been loaded correctly and I would have to come BACK into the office to pick up another set of the forms. I asked to have them emailed over to me due to not being able to take more time off from work. She stated she could not email the blank documents. After we hung up the phone I jumped online, found the documents and printed them off myself. Why they couldnt be emailed is beyond me. Dropped them off again (on my time) and then we were ready to start our 30 day waiting period. The office had called to confirm which lab I would like to have the lab script sent to. I told them LabCorp and asked for a copy of the script to be sent to me as well to avoid any issues. When I schedule appointments I try to be mindful of my time as I do have to work and pay bills. On April 29th?? The office called me and said the lab script was sent and that I was emailed the script as well. Day of appointment at the lab I called prior to to request it being emailed again because (shocker here) I never received the email. I spoke with someone and asked for the Waterford office, she asked why and I told her I need the script seeing as we have the appointment coming up. She then proceeded to tell me she "messaged" them and someone would get back to me. It came time for the appointment so I checked my daughter in and 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time I walked up to the front desk to ask why we had not been seen yet. The staff told me they had not received my daughters lab script. I stepped outside to call MidFlorida Dermatology AGAIN. The person who answered spoke with the Waterford office and came back to tell me someone will get back to me. At that point I was going to drive and pick up the script because 1 this was time sensitive and 2. I cannot afford to miss anymore work this week. I drove over to the office and got the script only to return to LabCorp as they were locking their doors. I went to two other places to get the lab work done but no walk ins were accepted at that time. MidFlorida had then called me to state everything was sent over on the 4/29?? And I again, double checked my email and found nothing. The script was emailed to me at 3:30 pm today, only interaction I have with the email address. (Fun Fact: They spelled my daughters name wrong on her lab script as well). I called to cancel my daughters next appointment, drove BACK TO OFFICE to fill out medical release paperwork (because lord knows if I did already the staff fumbled and lost it) scanned it and emailed it so hopefully the new dr can keep on track with our progress. Needless to say my recent experience with Mid Florida Dermatology Waterford Lakes has been subpar and neither myself, nor my family will be returning. If you have nothing but time on your hands and the patience of a Saint this might be a good fit for you. If you have a life and bills to pay, stay clear. read more

If you want to be misdiagnosed, flat out lied to, non-existing pathology report (called the lab directly) after biopsy, and not be cared for... then Dr Cardona is for you. Because of this non existing (fake?) pathology report and being misdiagnosed, I've now lost almost 3/4 of all the hair on my head. The mental and emotional anguish this has caused me is unbearable and has affected every aspect of my life. Mid Florida Dermatology is about quantity, not quality. Dr Cardona should be held accountable for what her negligence has taken away from me. read more

went to this place three separate times and got diagnosed with eczema when i told them Ive never has any sign of eczema my whole life. I suggested to them that it was some kind of rash and they insisted it was eczema. So they gave me steroids for eczema to use which made my condition worse and damaged my skin. 2 months after using the steroids I saw no improvement so I decided to go to a different dermatologist and they took one look at it and diagnosed me properly. This place is a JOKE, I literally did better diagnosing my self. read more

I have had the best experience with the Oviedo office. I see Adelaide who is amazing for my twice a year checkups and random visits and recently Dr. Savage for mole removals and have recently scheduled a consultation with him. The nurses and staff have always been kind and friendly and have been going to this office for at least five or six years. I drive 30 minutes to this office when there is one closer to me because I really love the staff and medical professionals and doctors that work here. read more

Nurse (jess) and Dr(Cordona) are friendly and professional in person, the communication between the front desk and nurses needs improvement. It took (3 phone calls with the front desk) to finally have my prescription rerouted to a different pharmacy (insurance purposes). Due to a ($604) insurance claim issue with Quest diagnostics early this year, and a recent illness (URI), I could not maintain the planned meeting with the nurses however, I did when the insurance issue was resolved. Although I wanted to continue to be a patient at this location, I was told the nurse no longer wanted me as a patient and that I should find elsewhere. Outside of being dismissed with no warning, the staff was helpful in greatly improving my skin health over the last few months. read more

As both a patient and an oral surgeon I can give and completely honest , unbiased and knowledgeable appraisal of a healthcare facility. This is the opposite of advanced dermatology and cosmetics off Alafaya . I was treated quickly and very effectively Buy a kind an understanding professional. Dr. Cardova was a real Dermatologist not one of those physicians assistants that seem to be in abundance in this area. If you think they're the equal of MD's or even DO's - think again. Had the one at the No star place listen to me I would not now need 4 to 6 weeks of topical chemotherapy. Mid - Florida is the place to do for proper skin care. One of the worst doctors office visits i've ever had. Whole staff is unprofessional. The appointment itself was extremely rushed and none of my questions were answered. The people at the front desk need to be educated on proper healthcare telephone etiquete. The woman on the phone sounded like I was bothering her by calling the office. My prescription was supposed to be called in the day of my appointment at 5 pm and it was not done. I call again they said at 5pm that day it will be done. I call again the woman Courtney who answered the phone was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional saying she did not see any prescription on the account and had the biggest attitude ever. I asked to speak with someone else and she refused to put another person on the phone and continued to be disrespectful. It's 5:30pm and my prescription still was not called in and I never got a call back like I asked for. First visit will definitely be the last. Would give 0 stars if I could. don't come here. read more

They call and cancelled my appointment. They don't take the insurance any longer at this location but all the other Dr's in the group at other offices do. They didn't even try to reschedule with someone else. After 15 years of going there I will never use Mid Florida again. This office is part of the group and if that's the way they treat you I'm finished with them. read more

Never met a more unproductive group of people. I should have know when I first walked in to check in the receptionists were gossiping about a coworker and didn't even bother to greet or ask for my information. Only 20 minutes later, she calls me up for my insurance card and license. Went in for my accutane and my acne problem and the physician looked at my face told me theres creams and that was it. I told her I've been on these creams before and they don't work but she insisted. Told her I want to get back on accutane but said she needs to talk to my old dermatologist and she will get back to me. A week passed nothing. So I called. Their phone always goes to voicemail no matter what time it is. Finally got a hold of them after days of trying and the person who answered said she will call my old dermatologist and give me a call same day. She has yet to call and its been weeks. Thank goodness I booked another appointment at another dermatology. read more

I went in for what I thought was a simple office visit to get some ointment for vitiligo and psoriasis. I was expecting to pay about $100 for the visit. The nurse practitioner said I needed a full body exam, she sprayed some stuff on a couple of warts and biopsied part of my skin that I already knew was vitiligo. Ended up costing me $800. Insurance covered a little but I got screwed. Buyer beware! read more

They probably have the worst people I've talked to. I called them because I had a referral and I picked them because they were close to where I lived. I was asking for an appointment and was giving out days and the person I talked to was just plain rude. I am ALWAYS friendly so I had to ask why she seemed annoyed and she told me if that's what I think then it's my problem. I asked if I can talk to somebody else and said yes and hang up on me. If this is the kind of reception you get for a person getting a new patient then they don't care about how they conduct their business. I was about to call back but decided to look for a different dermatologist now. There are quite a number of dermatologists in the area. Go somewhere else. read more
