My child was recently hired for a summer lifeguard position at Life Time, and unfortunately the…read moreonboarding experience has been extremely disappointing. She is currently a high school senior balancing final exams, end-of-year sports commitments, concerts, and other school obligations she has committed to through graduation. Throughout communication with the manager she would be reporting to, she provided the days and times she was available based on her school schedule and activities. However, no specific onboarding or training dates were clearly communicated upfront, such as mandatory dates for the team. After a misunderstanding regarding "next week" versus the week after Memorial Day -- when she actually has days off from school -- she received a message stating that more availability was expected from her. Shortly after, he informed her that he would have to let her go because of this. What was also concerning was the expectation of ongoing text communication during the school day. In New York, students are not permitted to be using their phones during school hours, yet she felt pressured to respond. Students and parents should be aware of this lack of communication and understanding when dealing with high school applicants. Clear onboarding expectations and schedules should be communicated upfront, especially when hiring students who are still actively in school. A little professionalism and respect for academics would have gone a long way here.

Majority of her "good" reviews are given by students who were told BY MRS KIM to leave a review in return for extra credit. She mocks students in front of others, she discloses students learning disabilities as a topic of discussion in her class, and she will expose a student's personal family issues with the class. Her criticisms and lessons are not helpful to the children as some students leave her program doing worse than when they first started. She will jeopardize student's safety to save a few bucks. On multiple occasions, she will leave students unattended. The front door to her facility is always unlocked regardless of the time of day/night, creating an opportunity for any stranger to enter. If you are looking for a place to help your child who is struggling academically, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. Their ability to improve is along the lines of watching a few Youtube videos. Parents seek private tutoring when their child needs help. However, Mrs. Kim will not help a child in need. In fact, she will only help the children who are already excelling. Instead of helping a student in need, Mrs. Kim sabotages a student's desire to learn.

Follow the signs. Thereis parking to the side of the main house. This visit had a tour of plants . There is a pond, fire pit and picnic tables throughout the area.it is a nature preserve park with many native plants along with some for sale. I suggest wearing a hat and sunscreen. While there are paths, sturdy shoes or work boots are good too along with a bottle of water. I did sera sign for bathrooms as well. They have a compost pile on the side.if you happen to have peelings from vegetables feel free to drop them off on your visit and learn how they make black gold for the soil.

We had a group of about 15 Cub scouts there finishing the ferns and animal related topic badge. The lady who gave a lesson about how to track or discover animals around us during our daily life, but the lesson was in a small room with no AC. The boys were not interested in the discussion at all. The session was informative to the parents, but the lady seemed unable to handle younger kids. We then took a nature walk outside and the boys were very into the hike. The trail was clearly marked and easy to access by foot. Parking lot was relatively small. Overall it was an okay experience.
