As a whole, I'll be fair and give Mid Pacific Pest Control the benefit of the doubt as a company with a 2-star rating rather than basing my decision off of one unhappy employee and a 1-star bruiser. EXPERIENCE: Long story short, MPPC was hired by a realtor to do a termite inspection on our home before it sold. Male tech arrived grumpy, curt, condescending and just plain rude. Who acts like that in this day and age of job instability and insecurity? If you don't like your job, quit! My spouse was taken so aghast that he was sent on his way without completing the job. We let the realtor know OVERALL: I'm sure this one individual doesn't represent the company's vision but he sure does ruin it for them. A second company, Bowman, was sent to right the wrong. While surf-van camping on Oahu, I've been joined by night cockroach visitors in the camper. I spoke with "Cheryl" today who offered that their Oahu shop's manager would contact me re a treatment. She stated that "He said there's nothing on the market worth trying or that's effective." Believing that, I still tried Home Depot where the associate recommended I use "Real Kill Indoor Foggers," follow the instructions and I should get rid of the roaches. With the van closed up, I counted more dead roaches in 30 minutes than 3 years of Trump's lies! Do you think pest control people are programmed to talk down store bought insect products in an attempt to sell you a "Professional Pest Control Plan?" For $7.63, my van is roach free! M-A-R-F! Do not let these people into your home. Our living complex offers routine pest spraying service through Mid Pacific Pest Control. We received the notice and decided to opt in this time as a precautionary measure, even though we have not seen any cockroaches or droppings in several months. The times that we have seen cockroaches in the home, they were distinctly American cockroaches and were only found in one area of the house. When the Mid Pacific Pest Control employee came to our home to do the spraying, he insisted on spraying in the bathrooms even though we have never found pests or pest droppings to be a problem in the bathrooms. He went into the bathroom, and called me in claiming that we had a German roach problem. Again - we have never had German roaches (we know the difference), and never any pests in that area of the house (we know how to spot the signs of infestation). It was way more than just a coincidence that the first time a German roach showed up in our bathroom was also the exact moment he came in to spray. He then spent the rest of his time trying to sell me on a special "roach clean-out" that "only we can do" because "normal pesticides won't work." The spraying that he did end up doing was minimal, and leaves me doubtful that they would even do a thorough job on this additional service he was trying to sell me on. Mid-Pacific Pest Control Inc., was outstanding - from Lynn (who was extremely helpful and friendly) to Earl and his team (that were on-time, and very professional) who performed the fumigation. This company is new to servicing our building. Ever since we have started using Mid-Pacific, the German cockroaches are a problem. We had none before. They spray quarterly and the issues started soon after they began treating. In November we paid for the "cockroach clean out". I made sure to follow up with the "baiting". Six months later they're just as bad and maybe worse. Sales lady said I need to repay for the service. It didn't work the first time so I'm not sure why I would pay them again. I never saw a cockroach until this year. I'm giving a two star because the technician Eric was nice and told me to call him to retreat. He retreated the condo then without charging. Now Dana says I have to pay and there is no re-treatments and no warranty. Now still more cockroaches a month after Eric did the normal treatment. Eric said I just had to call him but I left his cell. I don't want a cockroach clean out. I just wanted the normal pest treatment that our building is due. read more

very unscrupulous.Beware if you are selling your home . They send a report to you stating what they have "determined" . The treatment is done and then for some weird reason they send the inspection report to the seller to fill out which is weird . Later you will find out there was no inspection done. this is not a good practice and could end up falling back in the seller because they did not do their job. read more

I regret having to write a negative review, but one of the pest control guys was incredibly inappropriate when they sprayed my condo. He would leer at me, repeatedly, and then turn around and leer more - even after it was clear I told him to stop. He seemed to enjoy that he was being like this. I contacted the company about this employee, but they have not responded, maybe it's a known issue, but I would never feel comfortable with this man in my home again, or any one who works at a company that thinks that's ok. Everything up to that point was fine, but they have a disturbing employee that they aren't doing anything. To the company: your customers should at least feel safe in their own homes. There is no way this guy only did this once, it's a known problem, and others may not complain, but I wouldn't trust this guy on my payroll if he's behaving this way while on the job. I would recommend to any women -or even men - that if you do use this company, that you have someone with you at home with you when they visit. Thank you. read more

These people should lose their license to perform fumigation! My home was fumigated by MidPac and I was told it was safe to renter my home at 5pm! Fortunately I have a friend in the same business who was nice enough to come to my home with his meter to measure for any residual Gas in my home after 5pm. At 5:30pm we entered with his meter and the meter immediately read almost 18 when it should be less than 1, the highest readings were in kitchen at the refrigerator and oven. Thankfully the entire process was captured on video!! This will be reported to the everyone I know on Maui as well as being posted on every social media site I can think of, the video will also be sent to the Dept. of Agriculture! These idiots are DANGEROUS! In addition to being dangerous to your health their careless and could care less about your landscaping! Numerous plant and tree damage! If you want your family and pets to be exposed to poison and your landscaped trashed just give them a call, they will be happy to take your money and ruin your family's health! read more

We have been Mid-PAC customers for many years. We have quarterly service and that has left us bug free. Occasionally We have ghost ants and they get right on them with a safe gel. Their technicians are prompt for appointments and very nice guys too. Highly recommend them. read more

Our experience describe here is with the Kihei office of Mid Pacific Pest Control in Maui. We had our vacation rental property treated by them at the end of 2013. We went with them because they have a 6-month warranty, and they are recommended by our cleaning company on the island. That transaction went Ok. Since we do not live on the island, we rely on our cleaning company to report any issues they notice during regular check-in/check-out cleaning. Soon after 6 month, the cleaning company reported the bug issue returned. I called Mid Pacific, they sent a technician to investigate. A couple of weeks went by and several emails, I still did not hear from them. After several calls/emails, I got a proposed treatment plan, with cost estimated over $600. When asked if their 6-month warranty applies, they said the current infested spots are different from the ones treated 6 month earlier, therefore no warranty or discount applies. When I requested the diagram showing the new spots, 3 out of the 4 are the same, the 4th location needs explanation. I emailed them, the only reply I received is "I will check with the technician", no more communication from the company after that. The stark differences between the 1st time and 2nd time lead me to believe they are prompt to take client's money but good luck trying to get them to back up their work. read more

Our property was treated for termites by Mid Pac. We had the same experience as the other reviewers. Over charged and under serviced. The termites kept reappearing in all the treated areas. Like the others Mid Pac said these were new colonies even though they reappeared in the same areas. We dealt directly with the owner Mark Redeker and from our experience he has a complete disregard for honesty,integrity and customer service. He makes all kinds of promises and follows through on nothing. His contradictions are outlandish. We definitely would NOT recommend this company. read more

If you have pests of any kind, I personally recommend this company. Their techs are very knowledgeable, and friendly. Despite my frustrations with the bug problem I was having, my day ended on a good note. Mid Pacific came out to my residence, and not only got rid of the pest issues I was then having, but made it comfortable to be in my home again! I say that alone is priceless!!
