Bought a service agreement with this company in December of last year. They are supposed to come service my hvav unit three times but have yet to come out and due so. Called the call center to have someone contact me to set up a time for them to come out, but no one has called back. I'm not happy with this company and the fact that they take your money, but won't hold up their end of the contract. read more

I've seen the commercial for this establishment a time or two in the morning, so I opted to give them a call when one of my co-workers air went out earlier last week. I hadn't had my unit serviced in almost three years. I called and was pleasantly greeted by a warm voice on the phone. He graciously walked me through options for services and what they offered. I was schedule for the same week two days later. I wasn't experiencing any issues, so this was fine by me. Service day, I was called and was told by the technician that he was on my way to my home. He went straight to work. After the review of my attic, he came back with some not so nice news, but I received my quote and I have escalated this to my insurance company. I am thankful that I called them when I did. After a little cleaning and some small advice, he went outside. After servicing the unit, he had a little more news that wasn't welcomed, but it was taken care of to prevent further issues. All in all, I am extremely with Mid-State heating and air and their staff. I will be calling them again with any other issues that I may encounter....hoping that there wont be any though. read more

I feel dirty and swindled after working with this company. Thank goodness I had the sense to call around. I called Midstate to evaluate HVAC because of their high reviews online. The tech they sent did not do any work-up, (I figured this out later as my unit was locked), but put freon in and told me to consider a $375 leak test. The quote I got for part and labor was so astronomical I called around and got other quotes. First of all, no one charged more than 150 for a leak test, but others said it was not even necessary in my case (large visible leak). Second, Midstate was more that TWICE the price for the part/labor. You want to pay an extra $1500? Me neither. They try to hide their scam to swindle your money behind "low freon prices" to buy your trust. This is the oldest trick in the book. Let me add that the tech sent was so creepy I would not have felt safe letting him into my house, and the owner who came out to try to check out the problem after I complained no work up was actually done had interpersonal issues and gave me the creeps as well...you know the way people talk when you just know they're phony? Please avoid this company. I regret the more than $500 I gave them for diagnosis and freon replacement. read more

It's Sunday morning and our A/C stopped working (cooling). I called Mid State at 7:30 am and was astounded that someone not only answered but also assured me that a tech would be dispatched soon. 90 minutes later, Shane arrived. He politely explained the problem (burnt wires on condenser) and quickly fixed it. I'm very impressed with Mid State's speedy response and professionalism. Highly recommend! read more

Mid State is great to deal with. I have our home on the maintenance plan which is less expensive than most Heating & Air company charge. Mostly have dealt with Jon one of the owners who is very knowledgeable and competent. Jimmy, the last serviceman to service our Heating & Air system was outstanding. Mid State installed our new Furnace and AC Unit and new duct work after the flood and was very competitive on their price and did a great job. Highly recommend. read more

Jon McCartha and his team with Mid State Heating and Air were wonderful! My husband and I had experienced an extremely frustrating situation, in which our AC remained broken from July- September last summer (at which time I was in the last months of our pregnancy). The company our warranty sent out was dishonest, unprofessional, and untimely. We had called serval different companies to run diagnostics on our system​ but found that most companies wanted to 'sell' us on the pricier fixes to our system. We called Mid State in hopes that they would be the relief we so desperately needed to our air conditioning problem. Not only were they quick to respond, on time, professional, and honest, but they broke down our needs in a way that worked with our individual budget. They are the most professional, polite, prompt, and knowledgeable HVAC company starting with the office to the technician! I will never waste my time calling other HVAC companies again. My technician, Jonathan, was amazingly patient, knowledgeable, and thorough. I called another company the day before, and they didn't spend even 10 minutes looking at my unit before they gave up and tried to sell me a new unit. Jonathan started his review from the bottom to the top. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem. He saved me thousands of dollars. Had a service plan with this company . They supposedly completed 2 cleanings in the past year on 2 units. I had another company come out behind them after their most recent service . He showed me that the cleaning hadn't been done as stated and showed me what a correct cleaning should look like . Scary part is these guys most recently spent an hour in my attic & an hour in my yard .. WHAT WERE THEY DOING ?! Try another company! read more

Our A/C stopped cooling Sunday. I went on Yelp and requested service call rates.15 minutes later Mid- State responded. Their service call rate seemed fair. Later on I found out it was extremely fair. Their weekend rates aren't extra! 30 minutes later Jon arrived. He was friendly and professional. 45 minutes later my wife was a happy lady.
