Would not give me service. Denied me service since i got a diagnostic done by another shop but I wanted to come to them to get the problem fixed and they won't except it until they charged me $160 for another diagnostic. Then charge me whatever service I needed too. Wasn't customer friendly and didn't help me find any alternative service and was pushing for me not to go to them for anything. read more

Terrible service. Made an appointment for 1pm for break pads and oil change. Husband arrived at 12:45 for appointment. Car was not brought back for service until after 3pm. Even after bringing it back, they did not start on it. Husband asked them to start working on it because he had to leave town by 4:30. One of the service workers smacked on the exhaust for no reason, the tire they took off they took it over and started looking at the tread, which was not needed due to only needing to see the break pads, not mess with the tires. After this husband asked them to put the tires back on it. They tightened the wheels too tight. Wheels now make a horrible loud noise while driving and car pulls hard to the right. Don't recommend them at all!! Unless you want your car back messed up :) my husband did call corporate and filed a complaint, they offered him another appointment, not sure why we would want to take our car to a company that has no respect or cares for your car at all. read more

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would without a doubt the hole problem with this place is the manager Kyle he is absolutely rude I would not recommend coming here till that man is fired, I have only been here twice and he was rude the first time I came here all because I told him that when they fixed my axel on my car the cross threaded my lug nut onto my stem and I asked him nicely if they could fix it because it was not like that when I brought it in and he was rude about it saying that's my problem and that I don't know what I'm talking about so I reported him and then it was fixed and now I'm back again to see if they can take my car for a test drive and see what's going on with it and Kyle the manager said that he can have them take it for a test drive he said nothing else so I gave him the key and they came out later and got the car and put it straight in the garage so I asked what was going in I thought you were just taking it for a test drive to see the problem it's doing to help pin point the issue because you can't tell what the issue is unless you drive it and he starts yelling at me tell me I'm a problem everytime I come in here and I told him I just had a question because you only told me your test driving it and that was it and he still continues to scream at me telling me that I don't know what I'm talking about and that they have to take it in the garage and I said that was fine that it was in the garage I was just asking what was going on because you said your only doing a test drive and he still continued to scream and yell at me saying I can go somewhere else and get my car fixed that I'm a problem by asking a simple question and I asked him to please stop being rude and yelling and screaming at me I only had a question and he told me that me asking a question is the problem that if I don't like the was he is them I can go somewhere else and get my car looked at a to deal with it. This is absolutely ridiculous for a manager to be acting this was and to scream and yell at people like this he should be fired read more

The outer sleeve on one lug nut on my car was missing and after trying Auto Zone for a fix; despite their sincere attempts to remove the inner sleeve; they made some calls and then told me to stop by Midas and they could help me. The person at Midas was aware of my problem when I got there and after a few tries and different tools he got the sleeve off and put the new lug nut on the car all at no charge. He was polite, friendly, immediate service. We have used Midas before and this just makes it more likely that we will use them again. read more

Arrived at shop without appt. to get a leaking tire repaired. They said it would probably be 60-90 minute wait. We walked to Lowe's to kill some time. Went back an hour later and sat in the waiting area watching Midas TV. Saw a picture showing areas of a tire that are considered unrepairable. Our nail was on the edge of this area. One of the guys came out to check the location of the nail. He stated that even though the nail was on the edge, he was confident it was in an area that they could repair. When the repair was complete and they brought the car out to us, the service guy said he made sure the repair was successful before bringing it out. They don't charge for tire repairs, so it was a great outcome. These guys are always helpful, friendly, professional, personable and display great customer service. When we left, we went to the Little Caesar's next to the shop for our dinner and got one for the guys, too! Great service, guys! Thanks so much! read more

I have been getting oil changes for multiple cars for over 15 years at this shop. I have seen at least 7 management changes. Most were very short term. I've experienced it all here; from critical situations that required work to be done that was not caught during the mechanics comprehensive walkaround - to work recommended that did NOT need to be done. The current manager provided an experience that has prompted me to get my oil changes done across the street. On this last visit in August, I waited for over four hours and there was almost 0 communication regarding my wait time and the manager did not want to listen to why I was unhappy with his solution. Had he communicated earlier in my day, I would have been fine. But, avoiding a customer is a dealbreaker. I ended up spending almost $1,000 at Tire America a week later. This was work which needed to be done, work that I mentioned on a previous visit to Midas that needed to be done. After buying 4 tires and 2 wheels here, there was no mention of Midas not being capable of aligning my wheels. And no mention of replacing a bent tie rod so that they could even be aligned. None of this mentioned, in fact, during my 4 hour wait with no communication, the manager was just willing to let a good customer go. I may try again (no one can match the $24.95 oil and filter change and tire rotation price.) But that might take some time, as I am waiting for a) either Tammy to come back. or b) brand new management that knows customer service. I know enough about cars to know that I will trust them to change my oil, but that is about it. read more

They might be the best deal in town right now for their oil change price but you will pay for it with your time. My current wait for a routine oil change is 1.5 hours with a scheduled appointment. Yes, they are reasonable. Yes, they are nice. If their free WiFi was any good perhaps it might make the wait bearable but alas it is slow too. Pay the extra 20 a drive a quarter mile down the road for the 15 minute drive thru place. read more

Earlier this year I had brought my 2007 C230 Mercedes-Benz in for an oil change. They changed my oil, they man was very respectful when I told him I didn't need anything else done and I was on my way out..As i'm leaving my Check Engine/Oil light comes on. It had never came on before because I had taken it in a little earlier than usual.. It took me 4 trips in day for them to figure out that my car requires 8.5 quarts of oil and the entire time they were draining it then re-adding 7 quarts of oil because they thought that's all it took. They tried to tell me I had a bad sensor in my computer...WRONG. Waste of time, cheap but not worth the hassle!!! read more

I recently went to have my van serviced at the Midas in Catonsville, Maryland, and the owner, Scott, gave me a warm and friendly greeting when I arrived. In speaking with him about the service to my van, Scott informed me that the service would take longer than anticipated, for I intended to wait while having the service done. He was extremely and sincerely apologetic for my inconvenience, and since it was late in the day, he asked if I could leave my van overnight to ensure the work being done would be completed by the next morning. Scott went even further with his sincerity and offered to have an Urber take me home, ensuring my vehicle would be ready the next morning, and then he would have an Uber pick me up the next morning to bring me back. WOW! This is what I call "Customer Service!" For the owner to so readily offer a solution, such as that, without hesitation, is brilliant in my eyes. True to his word, the next morning I spoke with Scott, and he sent an Uber for me, so I could get my van. What is the icing on the cake with this experience, is one of Scott's mechanics, Paul, who worked on my van with Scott. The morning I picked up my van, Scott was at his other Midas store in Ellicott City, so he informed me that Paul would be at the Catonsville store to deliver my van to me. As promised, my van was complete and ready for pickup when I arrived. Paul was very professional, friendly, and detailed about the service done on my van, and had me on my way quite quickly. Scott and Paul, I want to thank you both for your diligence in making this customer 100% satisfied by going above and beyond the call of duty. Have taken multiple vehicles there over the last 15 plus years. To date, always have had a good experience. They use the same triangle as everyone; good, fast, cheap. Pick any two you want but can't have all three. Where I live, the shade tree guys are just that shady! I will continue to use them. Great job and reasonable price on repairs. They are very busy and wait times can be long, but stop comparing them to the freaking k cup coffee makers! The patience of people in this world is getting worse and worse! Want instant everything! Very Disappointed, and sorry to say I won't be going back. After getting my muffler repaired there, 32 days later it fell off and got wrapped around the axel of my truck. I made an appointment, when I showed up they had no record of me making the appointment. I explained to the lady what happened and she replied "well we will know what happened when we put it up." I told her again what happened and she told me that was hard to believe because the person who put it on went to college for that. I then was asking if I had to pay for it because if I spent $300 on something I expect it to last more than 30 days, she interrupted me to let me know I only paid $240 not 300. Rude, and annoying. I also went to college and have multiple degrees, but I make mistakes all the time. No one is perfect and mistakes happen I just wanted it fixed. I will never go back, and whenever anyone asks me about their service I don't hesitate to explain my story. Update: changing this to a 5 star due to customer service of the district manager. Tammy was super nice and told me up front it would probably be about an hour wait. That's ok. I didn't have an appt so I expected to have to wait a little. Also, I was hungry and there was a restaurant next door so I was able to actually grab lunch during my wait. Chris (I think that's his name, I'm awful and didn't read his name tag and his signature was difficult for me to make out) was my technician and was really nice and efficient. I honestly just have nothing bad to say. The staff is extremely helpful and genuinely nice to their customers. They told me the truth about when I would need stuff done. It wasn't like I have to do it now or my car is going to fall apart like other places I've been. I am just very impressed. Thanks so much guys! read more

BEWARE!!! My daughter called first thing on a Saturday morning to make an urgent appointment. Her brakes were leaking and the car was not drivable. She made an appointment then had her car towed there. She arrived around 11. They told her it would take a couple hours. She had no choice but to wait. At 4 pm the car was still not completed. She had a job interview that she now had to cancel. At 6pm they said it was done and told her to pay. They REFUSED to honor one of their coupons from THIER website because it was not a paper copy! Never mind she spent almost $500. Within minutes of paying they told her the brakes were leaking. THEY screwed up and put the wrong parts in! It is now 7 pm. She had not eaten the whole time she was there and had no way to get back to her dorm. One of the staff offered to drive her back. They said they would come back to pick her up the following business day. Due to her class schedule conflict she could not pick up the car until 2 days later. When she picked up the car she asked the manager about compensation for her inconvenience for their screw up. He offered her a free oil change only at their location that he "technically" was not "allowed" to offer and still WOULD NOT HONOR THEIR COUPON even though she printed it out! What horrible customer service!! I don't know how much business they get but some of it must be from the local college students. I think that they know the students will probably never come back so they have no problem screwing them over. I hope it was not because she is a college age female that they treated her like that. I hope that there awful customer service is not a reflection of their repair skills. read more

Car broke down 1 mile from their shop today and they quoted me 700 to fix my alternator, Muffler Brothers did it for 225, Ended up being 170 for the part and 55 for labor. Midas tried to act like the part was 500-600 by itself. Complete rip-offs trying to take advantage of people from out of town. read more

These guys were amazing. I got there right off 35, as soon as they opened at 7:30 in the morning, in the middle of the pouring rain, with a nail in my tire. I had somewhere to be and was obviously a little anxious. These guys worked quickly and did all they could to help me out. I took my truck here to replace my inner and outer tie rods replaced and have it aligned. I made an appointment at 3PM. I was told it would be an hour and a half. When I came I was told 3-4hours. They had a truck on the alignment rack and I found out the owner of the truck wanted them to do extra work. Of course they said yes. Then when I showed up I found out they squeezed a walk in before me. I had an appointment. They did take me back to my house. The guys there are very good at what they do and are nice. That's the only reason they got 4 stars. read more
