I went here last week for an tire patch because I mistakenly thought midas patched all tires for free, not just ones they install. My first mistake was not giving the salesperson the 'I'm not an idiot please don't take my air filters out, they're $12 on Amazon and I do it myself' speech. But I had a test that day and needed to study. I left the shop to study and got a message outlining $600 of service they wanted to do to my car, including the scam air filters and a $120 'cooling system fluid exchange service' that is nowhere on the official Subaru maintenance schedule. They also recommended a cheap tire replacement. When I looked up the tire their recommended it has a reputation for wearing quickly and developing sidewall cracks in under 10k miles. I picked up my car later that day and as a test I asked the salesman what the service interval was on the synthetic oil I got. My car's manual says 6-7500 miles and the jug of oil they put in my car says up to 15,000. This scam artist looked at me with a straight face said I should come back in 3,000 miles!!?! Like how dumb do you think I am? I drove home and when I turned off my car the ac was making a weird noise like the compressor fan was rubbing against something. The next moring in 90°+ heat, my ac didn't work at all!! That was when I also noticed that they reinstalled my glove box incorrectly when they unnecessarily took my air filter out and the hinge wasn't working correctly. They broke just as many things as they fixed on my car :( I called the shop and took my car back in, and the same salesperson that I spoke to on the phone did have my globe box fixed but then he tried to sell me a $200 ac freon recharge without even checking the pressure in my system to determine if that is the problem?! At that point I wanted to get my car as far away from these incompetent scam artists as possible before they could do more damage. read more

Continuing saga of my problems with Midas. I took my car to Glenway auto and come to find out the brake line they replaced was not installed correctly they had wired it up to the parking brake to hold it up. Glenway auto mechanic said that if I used my parking brake it would cause the brake line to move and probably break. $300 dollars down the drain read more

I showed up randomly to see if I could get some help with taking off a splash guard for the engine that had come apart and was just hanging and would scrape up against the road. The manager himself, Donny came out and took care of it right away like right there in the parking lot and then on top of that didn't charge me a penny! I didn't have any cash on me only credit cards. He went over and beyond and helped me and my family out. Thanks again to the new manager! read more

I went to Midas on Glenway for exhaust work. I was charged $1743 for the horrible work in the pictures. They didn't use the correct muffler for my Cadillac SRX so now the car is really loud with a generic muffler on it. This is the worst service I've ever received. The manager is standing behind this job saying it was done correctly. I thought I was going to a professional shop. The work looks like a $20 quick fix. read more

Overall, I am extremely pleased with the service provided by Midas on Glenway Avenue. There was a mix up with some parts, however, Chris reached out to me and kept me informed of when the parts arrived. The only caveat was I was informed that a new air filter was needed which was not the situation since the engine air filter was replaced just 33 days ago. I didn't have an appointment on 3/11/2020. I arrived told the manager Collin what I needed and that one of his excellent employees by the name of Mr. Troy recommended to come and see him. He did instructed me to call, which I did, but I thought he was working with other customers. When I arrived that is what he was doing. My time there was much shorter than I had anticipated. I went in with a concern about a weird new sound while driving. I thought it could be the bearings based on the interweb....but I am not a mechanic. Hence taking it to a shop. They took it in and said the left bearing needed replaced. They did the work and I left... the tire gauges on the dash were all lit up so I went back and they failed to be able to reset them using two machines. Great, that instills confidence. So I drove home and the sound was still there!!!! I went back immediately and this time they actually rode with me to hear the sound. (They should have done this in the first place) he said to me: "yeah I drove it before and didn't hear anything", this was the "diagnostic"....are you kidding me!?!? So they didn't actually hear the problem at all and still went ahead and told me the bearings needed replacement at 650$! They told me to come back the next day so they could figure out what is wrong.... I lost an entire day of work and spent a bunch of money I didn't need to spend. And my car is still not fixed. Needless to say, I did not go back to Midas. I took it to a real mechanic the next day and he drove it, heard the sound, and immediately said it is definitely not the bearings. I'll be going back to him. He also told me they most likely damaged the sensor while installing the bearings I did not need. So now I have to get that repaired as well. I'm so angry and frustrated. They didn't offer to rectify the issue at all. So please do not go to this Midas. It's a shitty excuse for a garage. read more

THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS! Had big problems here and had to report them for fraud. I found out the mechanics work on commission so everything they tell you that's wrong and you get fixed, they get a cut of the cost. I had a mechanic give me an 1800.00 estimate for a 40.00 part that I replaced myself. The part I replaced wasn't even what he said was wrong with it. I brought my car back and questioned him about it and caught him in a lie. To my knowledge the mechanic no longer works there but as long as you have mechanics working on commission you will always have that problem. I have been taking my car next door and they have been GREAT. Always honest unlike these crooks! STAY AWAY! read more

I would not trust this Midas location. I Went to get my oil changed, and asked about a tire rotation, I was told it was included with the oil change. I waited for my vehicle and watched as they changed my oil. After changing my oil they attempted to sale me new wiper blades and a cabin air filter ($196.00), neither was ever checked by the technician. After pulling my vehicle out of the bay, I asked about the tire rotation that was never done. The guy behind the counter asking for my money acted surprise and said "they didn't rotate your tires" , I told him they did not. He pulled my car back inside and rotated the tires. When I left they provided me with a visual courtesy inspection, which was never done. They never checked any of my fluids or the air in my tires. I will not use this Midas location again... read more

I never write reviews.. but this place has consistently performed shoddy/dangerous service on my car. Every time I have picked up my car, I've gotten it back in worse condition.. -Paid for an oil change, but they didn't change the oil.. -After an alignment, my steering wheel was almost completely upside down (while driving straight) They had to redo it because it was way worse than when I originally brought it in. -After the redo alignment, I pulled out of the parking lot to hear a scraping sound. I took it back (again) and they had left one of my brakes hanging down. -Installed a wheel bearing incorrectly after having left it there for two whole days (also left my car outside and unlocked over night) so the car was shaking and making HORRIBLE noises... I immediately went inside and they dismissed me and refused to even test drive it. They were rude about it and insisted it was fine (I felt so powerless). I had to slowly drive it to another store, where they told me part of the kit was missing and it was incredibly dangerous to drive in that condition. -I contacted the corporate offices and have never received an apology or any reply. I only continued going back because of the warranty I had on two previously repaired parts. I will NEVER use Midas again. read more

I stopped into this Midas this morning, needing a puncture repaired, and the assistant manager helped me immediately, with a smile. He took the tire off, repaired the hole, showed me the little nail that had done the damage, and put everything back to rights, at no charge! I have factory installed tires; I didn't get them there. But, I got the royal treatment, and fresh coffee, regardless. I had no idea Midas offers this service, but I'll definitely be back when it's time for new tires! Thanks, Midas! read more

I went in for a front end alignment. I was told I will have to pay for the alignment even if my car require extra work that they can not do it. I agreed.Thinking that's all I needed. I was told the alignment will take a hour . After hour and half I inquired how things was going with my car.I was told the bolts was stripped and its taking time to do the work.25 minutes later I am told I need a tire rod.They had already lowered my car and nobody offered to show me what was the problem.I will not be back.Even if that is the problem with my car.Why did they not show me how it look. read more

No Stars.. Why? They are irresponsible. Replaced my Rotors and didn't tighten up caliper bracket causing the vehicles caliper to fall off break the wheel and blow my new tire. Of course its not their fault because I replaced the pads afterward. The caliper bracket does not come off to do a brake job idiots. So they put a bolt into the caliper bracket and sent me on my way. only for it to almost happen AGAIN!!!!!!!! Had to tighten bracket my self! RIGHTY TIGHTY LEFTY LOOSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Made my appointment 2 days pryor. Went and kept my appt at 2:00 they had me in after finishing the customer ahead of me within 15 min. I have no problems with this. They told me about their lastest savings and so I opted for this. which included with my oil change... Tire rotationw/Hi-mileSW30 LOF..Lube job...4-whl Visual Brake inspection as well as their Courtsey inspection...All for only 29.99 (parts 19.99 & 10.00 Labor*tax)I love that! The gentleman at the counter,(I'm sorry, can't remember his name now) but was very kind and pleased that my car checked out so good. I was out of there by 3:07 not a bad wait for all that work (this was only because they had to order my oil filter as they were out of stock but that took less than 10min). Thank you guys at Midas! Both Mike and Tom showed great patience in dealing with someone who is not comfortable in the car repair environment. My muffler was replaced quickly. The car is running better than ever. be aware of this place i got my car toll in it needed a fuel pump they call later on and said it needed sensor inside fuel pump so i told them take care of it cost me 345 part was only 123 labor was over 200 so i go down pick up car then they tell that my back brake lock on driver side so i say how much this going cost car they 408 for one side so i tell them go head and fix it so go pick up my car which they have it for two days have wait over 45 minute because something was wrong with brake but at same time i notice my car was sounding bad like it was trying cut off so when they finally brought it to me i ask him why my car sounding like that because my car was running smooth before i took it in there now he try say it was my convertor in muffin i told him i didn't have that problem now he say it going cost me another 600 for that now i out of 816 what i pay get my car fix and running bad scare to drive it because it might cut off soung like a trucki think it was fuel pump all long when i look so printout on work i have get done on my car guess what on it saying i need fuel pump looking for another car i will never deal with this company again they will rip you off just be aware this midas in cincinnati ohio on glenway ave in westwood read more
