First time customer. Took in my new-to-me 2015 F150 for a differential and transfer case oil change, and fix a coolant leak. Was pleasantly surprised when they said my battery needed replacing but they would do that for free since it was purchased there by the previous owner. I had no idea! Great communication and they completed the work on time. I called with a question about the work and spoke to the mechanic who did it, and he did a great job of explaining what was done, how, and why. I feel confident they did me right. read more

I officially love this place after my car troubles made me find a place around here that would fix the problem and not rob me. I was referred there by friends and I received great treatment. Tina in the front office typically answers the phone and in my interactions with her, she's very interested in making sure that customers are happy. I needed a part put in that cost a pretty penny but I had the opportunity to get a used part for hundreds less. I was glad that I was provided that option. Best of all, they had a loaner car that I could use while my car was getting fixed. They don't have this everyday but if you set up a time beforehand, I'm sure they'll be able to accommodate you. To top it off, they replaced the battery in my key fob that I've been meaning to do for a while. Bravo to this place! read more

They do decent work but HOLY CRAP are they expensive! Almost 600 bucks to replace a windshield wiper assembly. Everyone I told either laughed or they were sympathetic. They all said they would help me fix the car myself next time and/or recommended other mechanics to go that don't rip you off so bad. Hands down has to be the best customer service and personal care I have ever experienced at a car care center. I own a food truck and have been getting it serviced here for about 6 months. To say they have been great to work with would be an under statement. But today I was on my way home from a job with a truck full of perishable food and my windshield wipers broke. I pulled in and they dropped what they were doing and fixed it right there. This was not what I expected but the kind of service they delivered. Everyone is incredibly kind and the prices are great. Soon after moving to Alexandria six years ago we discovered Community Car Care, and we've been a customer ever since. Couldn't be happier with them. I'm no expert on car service prices, so it's hard to evaluate their pricing. Although on a few occasions the bill has been higher than expected, I've never felt ripped off. And just as often, I've been pleasantly surprised with a lower-than-expected bill. Add this to the fact that they constantly have coupons and promotions for regular customers, and they provide good value. After having trouble with my used 2013 Buick Regal we first took it to the dealership where we purchased the car to have it looked at. After multiple times of taking the car there and racking up a couple thousands in repairs, and being told they didn't know what the issue was and doing pointless repairs. We finally took it to community car care where the problem was fixed after just one day and we haven't had any problems since and it's been over a year since the repair. Automotive repair for me is a risky subjective thing. Dropped my Wife's 2006 Outback Subaru off to Diagnosis a Burning smell and Check engine light. This was a 2nd opinion because the first auto service place was a little vague about the problems and solutions. Reread first sentence. Ken called with his opinion of needed service and pricing. He patiently answered my questions fully. We told him to fix it for the price he quoted. He called the next day. Your car is ready we'll be here until 6 for pickup. I dropped my girlfriends car off here because it's close to my work where I had it towed after the transmission went out on it. It had an extended warranty on it which I figured would be a hassle. I took the paperwork I had to James at the counter and he took my information and said he would handle dealing with them. They figured out the issue and sorted out the fact that the cars transmission was under warranty and would have to get towed to a dealer. They didn't do much work on her car but James was a big help on figuring out the direction that I needed to take and with advice on getting there. read more
