We adopted a dog from an animal shelter. We had no idea what we were in for. After a day at the house he, the dog became a bit more than we could handle. Jumping, biting, some aggressive like tendencies. Fully prepared to return him to the shelter until we were introduced to Yan. OMG! He came out the next day. This dog - cane corso / lab mix had met his match. Yan worked with him for 3 days right away and we already saw beg changes. We did a board and train with Yan for 1 week and holy cow we have a new dog. We have learned how to work with him and he's learned how to become one of the best family dogs. We couldn't be more excited to have our new guy with us and without Yan's expertise, I seriously doubt we'd still have the dog. Yan is professional, knowledgeable, respectful and trust worthy. He's definitely one of the good ones. Thank you for all you have done for us.

I still regret it a few years later. She was being buzzed for behaviors she didn't understand. It was punishment rather than training. The trainers drank the kool-aid and are inexperienced, The group classes were an absolute mess. Owners were confused and just zapped away without proper training and guidance, I pulled my dog out immediately. If you truly love your dog, and want to learn proper communication, consider positive reinforcement. The only situation I 'maybe' consider this is a pup with aggressive behavior. Otherwise, I would NEVER recommend this type of training. NEVER.

The owner does need to be diligent with taking their dog to the trainings (we kind of fell off at the end but it was okay) but as long as you stick with it, your dog will learn new skills and will be better behaved than before. We can literally walk our dog without a leash now, I never thought that would be possible. She will sit in her place when people come over and we are always getting compliments on how good she is. We can do things in the front yard and have her stay in the garage and she won't run after other dogs that walk by or other other people or children. She has learned to stay in her place for as long as we need her to be. It's funny because she was a really wild dog before and now that she's trained everybody loves her. overall the training here was worth it and we are really happy that we did it!

After just two weeks with Sherwin, she came home as the sweetest, calmest dog. The difference has been incredible. She now listens to commands, and if we simply turn our backs and say, "Box," she immediately responds. It's clear how much time, patience, and expertise Sherwin put into working with her. We were so impressed with the experience that we'll also be using this service to board Pickles when we're on vacation. Knowing she'll be in such great hands gives us complete peace of mind. I highly recommend Sherwin Newman to anyone looking for exceptional dog training. Thank you for everything you did for Pickles!

Mac is an…read moreincredible trainer -- patient, intuitive, and always tailoring each session to whatever Bear needed that week (including any new, random puppy behaviors that showed up along the way!). Bear absolutely LOVES Mac and was excited every single session, which honestly says it all. Over our time together, we worked on so much: sit, stay, drop, down, loose leash walking, reliable recall, proper greetings, high five, pool/water confidence, getting in and out of the car, touching paws, relaxation protocols, mind games, and healthy play etiquette. Mac even spent extra time educating us on pet nutrition, which was incredibly helpful and above-and-beyond. Not only is Mac an amazing trainer, they're just a genuinely great person. We learned so much and feel so much more confident as dog owners. I would 100% recommend Mac to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly effective dog trainer!

We learned a lot in the class and our dog enjoy the social interaction with other dogs at the beginning of the class, at the end of the class our dog always tired out and we are able to communicate & better of training Himalayas home. Our dog has a fear of walking on the street so we asked Sara to help us with getting him go a bit further than end of our driveway. Our dog make tremendous progress on the first day with Sara urged him on & showing how fun it is to go for a walk. It is still in progress in getting him out on my own but to Sara credit, her love of dogs show in her training and she able to express that enthusiasm and help our puppy to feel a bit nervous walking a bit further out of our driveway. I would highly recommend Sara class for training & socialize your puppy.

Given as a group, yet small enough to have some quality personal time with the trainer. Completing that class gave a good foundation not only for our frenchie, but also for us. Then came the cherry on top. Finding ourselves stuck without a place to board our frenchie during the holidays, I reached out to Karma Dog Training for recommendations. They said they have a boarding program which also uses that time to train the dog. We chose to go that route, and had our frenchie board with Donna Wasielewski - one of the Karma trainers. After getting the 'all clear' on space availability and temperament, Donna worked with us on where to focus the training. After meeting Donna and reviewing the plan, we felt like we had found the very best place to board our dog. But then gets even better... while we were on our trip, we received photos of our dog AND several videos *per day* of the training he was doing. We could see in near real time how much he was enjoying his stay, interacting with the other dogs, and refining his training. Once we returned, Donna reviewed the whole stay with us, and put our frenchie through the paces on what he had learned and improved upon. It was also the opportunity for us, the owners, to learn how to better handle the areas we needed to focus on, as well. Overall, I cannot recommend Karma Dog Training and Donna Wasielewski enough. Their philosophy and approach to dog training is wonderful. And it makes me feel so much better knowing that the next time I need to board my dog, there's a place that shows so much love and attention like Karma and Donna.

Having seen Catherine interact with not only her own dogs, but client dogs, I can personally say she is knowledgeable beyond belief and you can completely trust you are in excellent hands (and paws) with The Ranch For Canine Training and Behavior. This facility is immaculate. There is plenty of parking and her indoor facility is well lit and very well cared for. Catherine's knowledge extends way beyond basic training. She has handled and titled multiple dogs in conformation, obedience and protection work. This is a very big deal as many trainers have not successfully competed with and titled dogs to the level she has. She knows canine structure and behavior very well. These qualities are very hard to come by in a trainer. Not only the above, but she is great with communication on the human front. I challenge you to meet a more caring, loving, detail oriented dog trainer! She is fantastic with communication on the human level. Catherine recently opened a lovely new facility on Hwy 290 just off RR12 and not only does she do private instruction, but also group classes and she brings in experts for training on pet massage, etc. I look forward to taking my puggy back for further certifications and classes with Catherine.
