I went in to get my brakes checked and they came back with almost $3,000 worth of repair my car apparently needed. I asked how much just for the safety related items and it still came out to over $2,000. I took my car to a mechanic friend for a 2nd opinion and he only found 1 of the items was actually an issue and the repair will cost less than $100. DO NOT go to this Midas location, they are ripping people off. read more

I have brought my 4Runner here every time since May 2021. I must admit it was a little rough at first working with them but I was also anxious because I had bought the car cash and was hoping nothing big was wrong with it. There is definitely wait times as sometimes they're short a mechanic but not typical. Caesar the manager will work with you as long as you're patient and considerate. I buy my own parts and bring them and just pay for the labor. Juanito is a beast! I have been very satisfied with their service. I encourage you to bring your car here. My vehicle had the check engine light on and was starting to stall. Brought it in and Cesar was excellent to work with. He showed me faulty air lines that had been disconnected a week before when the oil change was completed at a respected shop. Placed the airlines and the check engine light went away. Had front brakes changed and Cesar showed me an issue with the front left then fixed it. Still struggling with the check engine light but Cesar is super friendly and willing to help find the problem.​ read more

I wish I didn't have to give ANY stars.... Midas, your store located on 2692 S Main St, Elkhart, IN 46517 is the saddest excuse for a business. The Store Manager there is atrocious, and extremely unprofessional. We trusted your business to handle our car with care, and to shoot us straight with honesty. Everything BUT this had happened. After spending $2600.00 at your establishment to "fix" our vehicle, now we are having to PURCHASE a new vehicle due to the "repairs" you made. Which in all actuality, you have caused $6000.00 now in damages that we would need to shell out to fix our vehicle, and that kind of money is insane considering we just spent $2600.00. Quite frankly, we cannot believe that you all are still in business after having several conversations with others that had to purchase new vehicles as well after your establishment "fixed" their vehicles too. We tried numerous times to have your business rectify this situation with NO resolution. In fact, we just inquired more bills for towing our vehicle back and forth. To anyone who is reading this, RUN! Do NOT let them touch your vehicle, unless you are looking to purchase a brand-new vehicle in the end. read more

For YEARS, my Jeep, off and on would would drain my battery dry. Batteries were changed, new cables were installed,, etc., and it still had the same problem. After talking with Midus, they deducted that my Alternator was running on the low side, even though other mechanics said it was ok. I figured I may as well eliminate that 'solution', so they put in a replacement Alternator. That was over 3 weeks ago, and I have NOT had a problem since! As I am a person to comparison shop, I found Midus' prices were less than the mechanic I had been going to for years. Also, the coupons were a big plus. Was told I needed new front wheel bearings that would cost me over $600 so I took my car to another shop and they told me my wheel bearings were fine and whoever told me I needed new wheel bearings shouldn't be looking at cars. I literally almost threw $600 away. Wouldn't recommend. read more
