They were very honest. I was here from out of town and thought I needed some work and they assured me that my car was fine.

My car had a terrible squeaking noise coming from the front end, as well as a rattle sound when I hit any minor crack in the roads. A family member referred us to Monteith's, as it is where he takes his car. Well I wish I would have asked which location because only after they scratched up my steering wheel and just barely fixed the problem we brought it in with did we figure out that he actually meant to go to the one on Beardsley, in Elkhart, and that he would never in a million years have suggested coming to this location. We tried to talk to them to figure out a solution to the terrible scratches they made on my steering wheel and the managers exact words are, "we never touched the steering wheel." Well, isn't that funny, seeing as how I literally watched from across the street as they got in my car, and drove it to a different part of the parking lot! Oh and I also imagine they probably pulled it into a garage to fix it, but no, don't worry, that totally doesn't call for turning the steering wheel at all. Now they say, "Oh well we only touched it for test driving." Ok well your test driving scratched up my steering wheel. "It's probably age" they now say. Do car years work the same as dog years? My car sure aged a lot in the 24 hours they had it. Those scratches were NOT there when I left it there, in that parking lot. And I know it's not sun damage because I park it in the garage and mostly only drive at night. $1226.75 wasted because I made the mistake of taking my car to this dump. There was, however a rattling sound before I got it worked on, and that is MOSTLY gone. This place is a failure. They refuse to make up for their mistakes at all and they completely deny any wrongdoing. "Oh we didn't do that, there's nothing I can do about it." Then explain why the main reason I brought it to you is not fixed, and you have damaged my car, blamed it on me, said it must have been there before when I CAN ASURE YOU IT WAS NOT. I heard good things about this place from my dad who used to go here years ago, but something must have changed because it is not at all how it was described. We specifically said we wanted what was squeaking to be REPLACED, not given a temporary fix that only lasted about 30 minutes. What was particularly disappointing was the managers "I don't care and nothing you say matters" attitude. If I could give -10 stars I would. read more

I am traveling from Florida and needed an oil change and tire rotation. Guy behind desk showed me an air filter (said it was mine) and that I needed to change it. I agreed. Next he showed me a lug nut and said they were all swollen and they would not be able to rotate my tires without pounding them off and then I would need to replace all of them. My thought was, then how are you holding that in your hand? I asked him to reduce the price of the oil change since they wouldn't be doing the tire rotation. He said 'nope, tire rotation is free, you still pay 41.00 for oil change. I told them I would take my car to Ford to deal with the lug nuts. When I checked it I was told I needed new windshield wipers too. I told them I just replaced them 3 months ago... The guys were trying to sell things to other customers too... they must get a commission on that stuff. I won't go back to this place. read more

This team is all over it. I was visiting Goshen from Nashville, TN. Called several places here in Goshen trying to find anyone who had two 185/55r16s. None of the other guys offered me a one day turn around in getting them. Not to mention, these guys said they would get the two of the brand I wanted. I came in with high hopes since they were sooooo fucking cool on the phone. And guess what, they were even cooler. Ice cold even. They didn't haggle about out the door price. In fact, they were the fastest among their in town competitors in getting the me the price FAST. No jumbling papers in the background, just a quick answer to how much this would cost me. For years I preferred this shop, the staff was great and it was located just down the street from my house. I felt like I always got treated right, the service was on point and their timing reasonable. I stopped by a few days ago to ask them to mount and balance 2 used tires I purchased at a yard sale for my older Dakota. The service rep told me it would be $25 each. Now this may sound like a good deal to some of you guys out there but when you have frequented a location for many years, and live just down the street it's highway robbery. I said: "$50.00 that's too much!" He said: "Well what were you thinking"? Me: "$10 each" Rep: "no way, $10 is a price for customers, we are going to need at least $50 so that will be $25 each". I guess someone with 5+ years of patronage isn't considered a customer. The job would have taken 20 minutes (at best) that's for a slacker with jokes. 25 + 25 = 50 for 20 minutes worth of work? $150 an hour to change tires? Are they surgeons now? I am going to start going somewhere else, and if they charge $150 and hour you should too. read more

Service was above and beyond! We were traveling to Niagara Falls on our family vacation and heard something strange with our front, driver wheel. We had to stay the night because everywhere was already closed, but we got our vehicle in right away the next morning. It was a Saturday and we knew that they were busy, but we told them our situation and they said they would try their best. We had a bad wheel barring, which if it goes without being repaired can lead to your wheel falling off! They got us in and out and bad on the road. Last night my wife had a flat tire. We called roadside Assistance. But the company that came out had a very under qualified individual. He had no clue what he was doing and was going to leave my wife stranded. Luckily this young man named Seth who is an employee of Montieth Tire showed up. Not only did he help change the tire he also took the spare tire to the gas station to fill up with air. He was very generous and very kind. He even stop by my house on his way to work to pick up my spare tire to fix it. He has definitely one my business for Montieth. If that's the kind employees they have I want to do business there. These guys could not even handle two little trailer tires in an entire day. Brought two bad tires down, they had the new tire. They told me it wouldn't take long that was at 9:30am. After leaving and returning three times I asked for the tires back on the forth trip. Went down to discount tire and had new tires on my trailer within an hour. I believe those $675.27 BLIZZAK tires will be purchased from discount tire. read more
