REGARDING MIDAS - Central Kentucky on Finley Drive in Georgetown, KY While hauling show horses from Wisconsin to Florida, I pulled into Midas for some brake work to ride out the hurricane. Complete brake replacement on my F350 Dually cost over $3300. As I drove south, in Atlanta traffic on I-75 with horses on board, Midas' botched brake job came apart and completely destroyed the rear end in my truck. Three separate mechanics, including the head mechanic from the Ford dealership across the street from the shop I was towed into, have now signed affidavits swearing the botched brake work is the only way this occurred. $5500 for repairs, $500 towing, $300 horse boarding, $1600 lost haul fees to Florida, and at least two weeks of lost wages. Went here because I had an oil cooler leak and they replaced the gaskets replaced the gaskets. I came here because I don't know the town yet and I was desperate I needed this fixed so could go to work and not further damage my car.I paid $569 to replace the gasket or gaskets for the oil cooler. $100 for the kit. Staff seemed knowledgeable and courteous to me and other customers who seemed a little irritable. Im giving 4 stars because I think the $135 an hour for labor is quite high. Honestly it's probably my fault I went to them but I wish I saw this review knowing what I might be paying for labor to check elsewhere. Go here if you want good service and the job done right and $135 an hour sounds appealing. I would recommend this location for quality service with a smile. 7-11-2017 (update) I had a nail in my tire and took my vehicle to the Mazda Dealership in Lexington, KY who I usually trust. My trust is now shaken. They advised I would need two new tires and weren't very convincing. I always feel they are looking to charge more than they should. Anyway... I called Mitas of Georgetown and made an appointment. They ordered my tire (Bridgestone) and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Wow. Yes the tire was expensive and had to be ordered but Mazda would had to have done the same. I fell I can trust Midas and that goes a long way with me. Good job Midas!! Total cost for ONE tire (not two) : $286.16 2/8/2018 Appointment My wife took her 2014 Honda Odyssey to the Honda Dealership in Lexington, KY. They told her that the Alternator was over charging the battery (which was only 6 months old - bought from this dealership). They wanted to charge $130 to run a test on the Alternator. They also advised to get the Alternator and Battery replaced. Really? The total cost would gave been easily $500 or more with parts and labor. I called Midas and they advised they would check the Alternator and Battery for free. I arrived at 120pm for my 130pm appointment. The staff is always friendly and took my van in immediately. It didn't take long. Midas ran the same test that the Honda Dealership would gave run and guess what... no issues. Surprise surprise The Alternator, Battery, and starter system were all working normally. My total cost was zero! The Midas in Georgetown does a fantastic job and I trust them. Honesty is big! Recently I had an emergency while traveling North on I-75 while towing my camper. My brakes went out on my Yukon. Although it was closing time the manager at this Midas gave me good advice then replaced the broken hydraulic line on my SUV, getting me safely back on the road again in a short time. A friend ordered a part from this store. Scott explained to them that there was custom work being done to the part and the part could not be returned. The person who ordered the part doesn't speak English very well and did not completely understand. The part did not arrive timely and the person who ordered the part wanted to cancel the order. Scott was kind enough to refund the cost even though he could not return the custom part. He was more concerned with building a lasting relationship with a customer! Impressive. read more

Went to get an alternator installed because mine had gone bad. They told me there were only 2 choices of alternators (after they ordered). Was very pushy trying to get me to leave my only car there, and acted like the 30 minute job of changing my alternator needed a full 8 hours. If you have one vehicle and can't leave it I wouldn't recommend going here. Also it was extremely expensive. read more
