Mister anonymous, it's uh, went Friday. Uh, the 11th 2024 to get my Trump breaks inspected. They'd done my brakes before on another vehicle. I had service done there quite a bit from them and I'm very disappointed how they did. It, it took them an hour just to pull the wheels off and look at the brakes. The workers were all on their phones, playing around with their phones and everything. It was only 2 vehicles, mine and another vehicle in there and 3 people, including. I guess manager or whoever he was. But he didn't say who he was. But they were all playing around with their phones and everything. Then they go to the then and the guy that wasn't working on mine SUV, he would go over to the other guy and help him a little bit and go back-and-forth. And this will be the last time I go into the hovert location and have anything done there. They were not polygenic, or nothing like that or anything. And didn't say sorry it took so long or nothing like that. So that'll be the last time I get in there and I'm not going to have them. Do anything else, and I've been there. I called them to see when they could do an oil change. They said now, come on in. When I got there, they couldn't figure out what oil to use or which filter to use on my Kia. They spent time on the phone and on the computer while I sat there and waited. Then they disappeared from the desk. I sat there for 45 minutes and my car still hadn't even been moved into a bay. Never once was I told what was happening. Zero communication. I finally grabbed my keys and left. I'll never go back. read more

I am generous with a one star review. I used Midas for many years in Illinois and then Arizona and always loved the service. My first and only experience in Hobart was so bad that I will never go back. What should have been something simple turned into a costly nightmare and I was without my car for 4 days. Finally, I got my car back and within a few days discovered they forgot to put my horn back in. They said oh yeah we have your horn here. Why didn't they call me to tell me? Had to waste more time to go back for that. I specifically had my car towed there due to previous experiences against other cheaper places that were recommended. Will not go back. read more

I will never bring any of my vehicles here again. I went in for a brake inspection(they specialize in brakes). I just bought the car a couple of weeks before, and I was hearing a little squeaking. But they said the brakes were new, so I was glad. Then as we leave and drive down the road, we're coming to stop the car is shaking/vibrating real bad. We take it back. We finally find out one the technicians/mechanics?? didn't take the drum off properly and warped it. Well he had to pay for it himself, so I was happy. So 3 or 4 hrs later we finally have our car again. Never again, they don't know WTF they're doing. read more

Got a flat on my way to work Thursday morning. Needed a quick patch after finding a screw in the left rear tire. Showed the guy what the issue was and he said it would be 25$ and 25 min. It took 45. My opinion twice the time should be half the price. read more

This was my first real repair on my car since it was paid off in FULL. I was fearfully and really didn't know what to expect going to anybody but the dealership. I chose Midas because the manager was really understanding and was patient with me. I called around to at least a dozen locations seeking break repair time & cost and HANDS DOWN Midas was the right place. The pricing was fair, the location was easy to find, the speedy service was unbelievable. I rented a car for the week, just to take it back the next morning. Even when they found more damage then expected, he called and let me know before he did any work. They even fixed a minor problem I had not even mentioned. Please don't make the mistake of ever going here. These guys are nothing more than crooks! It blows my mind that this place is still in business after all these years. I remember taking one of my first vehicles here years ago because one of the wheels was sticking after stopping. So Midas looks at it takes me in the shop, tells me it needs this, it needs that and I ask him how much is this going to cost? The guy tells me it's going to be $700.00! He might as well said $7,000.00 because I didn't have that either considering I was just a kid with a minimum wage job at the time. So I take it to Dave's (3401 Liverpool Rd.) who's shop was at the end of my block where I lived at the time and who has been my mechanic ever since. He looks at it and tells me I have a bad wheel cylinder and it'll cost me about $100.00 bucks with parts & labor. Now mind you, these a--holes at Midas were wanting to charge me $700.00! What were they going to do, give me a solid gold wheel cylinder? Like I said earlier, stay far away from these crooks. Take your vehicle to Dave's on Liverpool Rd.
