Based on reviews and calling around I decided to come here for a simple oil change It was a Saturday so, they were very busy but, accommodating. I asked if I could come earlier than the time for my appointment. They didn't make promises but, they were able to get me in about 10 minutes earlier than originally planned. Once they took the car back I received an unexpected vehicle report along with pictures of every part of the particular object they were reporting about. I LOVE that. It helped my husband and I decide what needs to be next in terms of priority for maintenance. We were short on time and need to budget properly. I have used MIDAS for all basic vehicle repair and maintenance services for years, they performed exceptionally well and went beyond my expectations, I enrolled my entire family, and many friends to be MIDAS clients - all was well until a few months ago. I brought my KIA Sportage for servicing and for AC repair, the unit had a leak and when charged, the AC would only function for a few hours before it stopped working. The mechanics at MIDAS kept changing modules and things and I kept on spending money on all the recommended repairs until I had topped over one thousand dollars - all for the repair of an AC leak. Yet they could not either find the problem or repair it. I kept bringing the car back, and after the fourth time, MIDAS had enough and simply told me that they could not do anything to help me. Needless to say, I would warn prospective clients to stick to oil changes and minor maintenance issues unless they want to drain their wallets while they fill themselves with anger and frustration. MIDAS never did the job, they simply got tired of seeing me with the car returning over and over before they shut their doors in my face and left me with exactly the same issues after taking over 1 thousand dollars from me. If MIDAS cannot perform AC repairs, they should refrain from trying and refrain from taking money from their clients without performing the services needed. Needless to say, I have completely stopped using MIDAS for anything and I ceased recommending them to friends and family. Sadly I must now recommend that you take your car elsewhere for anything other than an oil change. read more

I called earlier this morning to set up an appointment for a full synthetic oil change. The gentleman who handled the phone call was Matt and he was very very pleasant on the phone. He said my appointment for 11 AM today. When I came in I was greeted by Mike and he was also very very polite and professional. They were able to get my full synthetic oil change appointment honored not only on time but a couple of minutes early. I just want to say that I am very very pleased with not only their professionalism but also the job they did on my car. They got me in and out within an hour and my car is running smoother than ever. Incredible service! Told me what I needed and why. The Jeep felt sluggish and it was hard to get up to speed, they suggested to take a look at my diffs and transfer box. I had some metal shavings in the rear and front differentials so we replaced those and I went ahead and replaced the transfer box as it was in relation to the diffs. I have never been more disappointed in an oil change in my life. To start this off, I'm not the type to write reviews and downloaded Yelp specifically to talk about my experience with Midas. I needed a premium oil change for my 2017 Honda Accord. My experience initially went very well, I came in at 9 in the morning and was impressed with the knowledge and manner the mechanic was talking to the other customers with. I went in for an oil change, and was informed I needed new break pads and rotors. I decided to go with both and what proceeded next left me in utter dismay. I paid $629 everything and I left back to Miami to take my finals and exams only to notice an immediate drastic change in performance. The new breaks and rotors had visible rust, and were so unresponsive I nearly got into an accident on the turnpike on the way home. The oil used on my car was the wrong type. They used regular instead of full synthetic oil, and for the next two weeks all my friends pointed out the smell of burnt oil whenever I arrived in my car. It's safe to say that I will never be taking my car back to Midas. read more

I had to get up north sooner than expected. The soonest I could get an appointment at a dealer for an oil change was 10 days away. I wasn't sure these guys could deliver an oil change on a BMW X-2 but I was pleasantly surprised. I got a next day appointment. They have experienced mechanics. They used the proper BMW extended life oil and filter. They double checked everything for proper fit and leaks. The price was fair. They took a little longer (90 minutes) but it wasn't their fault, it's the time consuming way BMW specifies the oil level must be checked. Believe it or not....newer Beemers don't have a dipstick and I get pissed off every time i think about it. Finally, both manager and mechanic were pleasant and informative guys. They only tried to upsell me a new cabin air filter.....which I fully expected....and that's a lot better than most of these places which will try to sell you all sorts of nonsense. If I can give zero stars I would. We bought 2 brand new tires and did a oil change 2 months from this business. A week ago, I saw a nail in one of my tires and noticed it was getting low so I took my chances and drove it to the shop. They patched it up and I was on my way. Yesterday (Sunday) I had a complete flat in the other tire we bought from them. We had to plug it up because we were in another county and needed to get home. Today they refused my husband and was told there's nothing they can do about it. So I called the shop and spoke with the manager named "Matt" telling him I'm pregnant and this my everyday car and I was there 9 days ago with the same issue and he said "I should of taken the car to the shop" (mind you they're closed on sundays and we were in another county at the time) but again nothing he can do about because we plugged it. I under stand that it can't be patched up after being plugged or even offering to replace the tire. Never coming back here again. read more

Wow. This was hands down the best automotive experience I've had to date. The story starts with a brake service done by another Midas in Davie (which was my WORST automotive experience to date.) They had completely overcharged me for what became a 3+ hour brake service and then not even installed the brakes correctly! As soon as I left they were knocking alarmingly. So the next day I take the truck into this Midas in Lake Worth. Matt, the manager, gets the truck on the lift, reviews everything and gets everything tightened down and the noise stopped. So I take it home and then the noise reappears suddenly that afternoon. So I bring it back in this morning and Matt greeted me, got the truck back on the lift and disassembled the whole front brake system. They then noticed that both rotors were cut completely wrong by the Midas in Davie and were warped, leading to the knocking. So free of charge they re-cut both the rotors for me and rotated the tires (since the midas in Davis neglected to do that as well.) Now the truck runs and stops like a champ! The manager was courteous and profession, a true class act. This is the only Midas I'll be going to in the future while in Florida! read more

I went in for a oil change and tire rotation. The owner of the location was here on this day. I asked him about installing a cabin air filter for my car. He told me that he would have to order it. I asked him how much it would cost me? He told me $29.00. I asked him would that include labor? He said yes. I returned on the following Tuesday, August 2, 2011. I told the guy that I was there to have the cabin air filter installed. He stated that they must have sent it back because the company had returned a lot of items the day before. I asked him could he order this part for me again? He said yes. I told him that I would be back again tomorrow which would be Wednesday, August 3, 2011. I left work early to ensure that I could be there in plenty of time to have this part installed. I called to confirm that the part was indeed at the shop before I drove all the way down there from Jupiter. When I arrived, I told the person that I was there to have a cabin air filter installed. So another person by the name of Cesar( I believe), came in from the work area to assist me. He was so unbelievably rude to me, so rude, nasty and unprofessional that I could not get his name. He stated that the price that the owner had quoted me was incorrect. I told him that the owner said that the price was $29.00 installed. He asked me what do I expect for his guys to work for free? He claims to have called the owner and questioned him about the quote that he gave me. I told him that I was quoted the price of $29.00. He wanted to charge me he said $39.00 plus $19.00 for his labor cost for the guys. I told him that I was there last week and I got an oil change and a tire rotation for free. I asked him who paid for that labor? I asked him for the owner's name and number. He told me to leave and get out and take my business somewhere else. I called another store location an I spoke to another manager to explain to him the horrible service from the Lake Worth location. I asked that manager to please ask the owner to give me a call.
