They fix that problem and told me said it was free. Then found another problem and I ended up paying a lot more. I believe they didn't know what going on. The Midas store at 84 Grandin Rd in Mainevill, Oh 45039 changed a part on my car that was not broken or needed to be changed and the district manager Jorda Lindhust completly back them up. Derek Davis is a THIEF and has no business being the face of any franchise!!! I took the part to (3) different shops and all had the same response, nothing wrong with this manifold! where I came from that is called STEALING, DISGUSTING DISHONEST AND A THIEF!! I go to the Maineville Midas for my oil changes. I just want to say the Jeff at the Maineville store always goes above and beyond for us. I have four cars between my husband and I, and my two kids who also drive. So I got an oil change yesterday in my Traverse and my husband got dropped off at Midas to pay and pick up my truck. My husband took his car to Midas as they were immediately available. I advised him to go elsewhere, but he somehow heard that they were under new management. I kindly reminded him that they still work off commission, but he went anyway. Surprise, not surprised: he gets quoted an ungodly amount of money for parts and labor and was told the car would be ready in two hours. My husband agreed bc he was off work already and taking it elsewhere would mean he would have to take off work the next day. Two hours later , they call him and tell him that it took longer than expected and they had to charge him more (a hell of a lot more!). Did you catch the two hour mark? He had already been quoted for labor for two hours!! Yet they wanted to argue that that was just the pickup time. So that happened several months ago, but then I'm at auto zone getting a new battery for my car today - located near Midas. The auto zone guy felt bad about how much it was going to cost. (The price was fair imo.), So I joked - hey, Midas would have charged me double, so it's fine. The guy told me "oh, yeah, don't I know. They call here for parts all the time and then hike up the prices. They called us one time giving us a story about how they had an old lady there who was in bad shape and in need of a part. So here, we reduced the price only to have the lady come in 30 mins later asking to buy the part herself because Midas was charging her too much. So I asked the lady if she still had the statement with the price quotes and when she showed it to me, I couldn't believe it. They charged her double anyway." Many years since my last review...and nothing has changed. They still work off commission, they still charge double compared to every other mechanic shop in the area, and they are still crooks. The Midas team (and specially their manager) have gone above and beyond to help me with my cars in repeated occasions. It has happen so often that I am compelled to write this report. If I could rate them higher that 5, I would. Over and over again, I have seen the Maineville Midas team taking what should be an "ordinary job" and making it an extra ordinary experience for me. They fix what i asked them to fix but also take the time to go the extra mile and point out things I did not notice before (I am not a mechanic). They accurately calibrate me on whether the fix can wait or if its something I need to consider sooner rather than later to avoid a bigger issue down the line. For example, just now, I had my 17 year old son's car in for a alternator issue that was resolved promptly. Upon request, I came out with a "plan" on how to little by little take that car and get it to tip top shape without breaking the bank and pacing the jobs so as to not break the bank. These guys came up with a very complete analysis of the car and what needed to be done first, second ...etc. As I have multiple kids with old used cars, it comes very handy when you know exactly what you have in front of you (dollar wise) in order to keep your kids mobile while being safe and cost effective. As I was leaving the shop, another lady interrupted our conversation to say that she was so thankful because she had her car fixed right away due an emergency she had on the highway, and she said she had never had a shop fix her car so quickly. Hi All, First I want to apologize that I have to give a bad review about this place. i did a diagnostic check of my car in ORailly and they told that one of the O2 cylinder is not working. I went to Midas as I saw a good rating about the plave in google. but my perception totally changed when I arrived there. they did a diagnostic check there and told me it is not about the O2 sensor. rather than it is a issue with Reman Throttle Body. and gave me an estimate of 866 dollar where 600 dollar is the parts price. (I checked online, the parts price is actually 200 dollar around. ) I requested one of the technician that what will happen if I don't change this now? that technician who actually worked on the diagnostics part told that my O2 sensor is not working. I charged the first person that why he is telling about Throttle body then? he started fumbling and gave a wrong justification of his misguidance. My car was a pretty old one. So I cam back to get a 2nd opinion. Today I went to ORailly again and then went to Goodyear car service which is also pretty big. they told that the code is erased by Midas people and now there is no code showing in the car. everything is fine apparently. I am pretty sure that there is something wrong with Midas because they erased the code so that I can not check what was the issue later on and pay them to fix what they were observed. Please please take 2nd opinion always when you are going to this Midas location as they will misguide you. read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars. Or negative 20. I will never come here again and I would beg anyone not to come here either. The staff were rude at my last oil change. I asked for and oil change and a tire rotation. My tires weren't rotated and though I didn't know it at the time, some seal or something was put on incorrectly and all the oil sprayed out of my engine on the way home. Our driveway now has oil stains. This very easily could have ruined my car. Tg my husband was able to "clean up their mess." We will take our vehicles somewhere else in the future. I wish we had read these reviews before doing business with Midas in Maineville. We spent a lot of money on a new set of tires there and paid for the road hazard warranty. My girlfriend had a file stuck in her tire and took it there to get replaced. These brilliant folks at Midas decided the tire could be repaired using their 'largest' plug/patch kit. We asked them to please replace since the tires was basically brand new and considering we paid for road hazard warranty. I'm not arguing that the tire couldn't be repaired, but the obvious right thing to do for a customer with a file sticking out of their new tire is to replace it and make the customer happy. But Gary the manager obviously didn't take the Customer Service Course and was nasty and rude. No coincidence that all the feedback here is so negative considering how Gary manages the store. Here's more from Gary when asked why the tire sensor was showing the incorrect tire being low.....'we don't reset the sensor unless requested to do so' :). On top of that, after getting the car home I checked all 4 tires and the pressures were all over the place with another one being low. So, these guys couldn't even take the time to check and adjust the other tire pressures. Please spread the word about these guys!!!! We are speaking to Midas corporate now trying to get something done about our tire situation. Too bad we can't give a minus star rating. This Midas store is an absolute joke and Midas better fire Gary quickly before they have to close shop. I wish I could attach the picture of the file that came out of this tire that Gary plugged but not sure how to do that. I called the store this am and spoke with store manager, Tony who told me if I brought the broken part and picture of other damaged part he would reimburse me. When I entered the store I stood at the counter for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. After speaking with Tony he attempted to call his manager for a code to refund me. I again sat in the lobby waiting for atleast 10 minutes before he came out to talk to me. At that time he said he would only reimburse me for one damaged part ....he told me all parts are inflated 100%, so I would get 150$ instead of the 300$ I paid. The other damaged part I had a picture of he would not honor because he couldn't send it back to the manufacturer for refund. I clarified you charged me double retail and all you are willing to due is pay me retail. Tony raised his voice to me and said I was being nice, now I 'm not giving you anything, get the F..k out of here you B...tch. I told him I was going to call corporate and Tony said I dont f...ing care I already called them and they said I don't have to do an F...ing thing. I would never recommend this business to anyone. They inflate prices a 100% and go off a program for labor costs....so if the program says 2.5 hours and it takes one hour, they charge you for what the program calls for. Tony also called a mechanic that did the work on his side time for me worthless and not a mechanic! He had an attitude from the moment I encountered him. Corporate took the report and said they would get back to me in 72 hours. The other workers in the shop heard him use profanity and raise his voice with me. It was uncalled for and I would never go back there again or recommend anyone else go there either. They inflate parts by 100% over retail and are rude and inappropriate! read more

HORRIBLE MECHANICS, MANAGEMENT, and CUSTOMER SERVICE! HOPE THIS SAVES YOUR CAR, TIME, and MONEY! READ ME AND DON'T GO HERE OR ANY MIDAS!!! I don't participate in social media, nor do I normally write reviews, but I felt so strongly about the terrible DISservice I received from this location and from Midas Corporate that I felt compelled and that it was my civic duty to save every human being from the awful experience one would have by going here. And by attempting to work with Midas corporate to make it right, which they won't, so save your time, car, and money and read further, I hope this helps you make the right decision. If there was a way to give them negative stars, I would do it. 2011 Kia Sportage, just below 100k miles. Stalling while idling and while in motion. Took it to Midas. Diagnostics threw a laundry list of electrical codes that they couldn't make heads or tails of. They 'determined' the computer (PCM) needed replaced - the most expensive possible repair (and it wasn't even one of the codes from diagnostics). It's rare for a computer to fault in a car that's 2002 or newer, especially not in one 2010 or newer. I consented to that work as well as 100k points, plugs, flush and fill, and an oil change - the only service they did that was needed. They got a REFURBISHED JUNK YARD COMPUTER, replacement computers must be brand new, direct from manufacturer. Once you burn a VIN into a computer, you can't change that. Point proven - they had no idea what they were doing. After they couldn't properly install the refurb (they told me they couldn't program the key FOB to it - LIE!), they took it to Kings Kia to have the tech order a brand new part. Kia tech said he didn't think that was the problem. Midas said they didn't want his assessment, they were in over their heads with me so just get the computer and install. Days after we got the car back, same exact symptoms and diagnostics codes. Now the alternator is throwing low voltage, needs a new alternator, that's the problem they tell me. And they charge me $1200 for it! Claiming I needed a top of the line with 2 year warranty because of the mileage. Same Kings Kia tech told me he would've done an aftermarket alternator for half the price (this guy saved my car and my sanity in the end). Days later, we're back at Midas AGAIN! The only reason is because I demanded that they figure out the problem and fix it for free, that's the only way they can make this right. They inspect some wires, sensors, harness, battery terminals and battery tests, and they actually start looking at the codes. They lock on throttle body alignment, pull out the throttle body and notice oil in it. So they 'spray it out and clean it', the assistant manager says he's going to see if the DM will consent to replacing that for free. At this point, we're $2800 in over the course of several months including a credit card to pay for the alternator, I've spent several hundred on rental cars (wife and 2 kids, 1 car won't cut it). I take my car back while we wait for the DM. Follow up once a week for about a month waiting for the DM to approve throttle body work, no response. Car is driven sparingly and rarely. Fast forward, end of March 2019 - the symptoms and diagnostics codes return. NOTHING that Midas did worked, none of the promises they made came to fruition, so I take the car to Kings Kia to the exact service tech who replaced the computer. A bad relay that ALL of the coded parts are connected to, $200 parts and labor plus the diagnostics fees, the car is fixed. The tech told me horror stories of what he's seen from Midas. They once towed a car to that dealership for them to work on WITH A PICKUP TRUCK AND A ROPE (Midas got in over their heads and needed dealership rescue). He told me they are notorious for overcommitting to customers, not knowing what actually needs fixed, and by damaging customer's cars in their care resulting in other needed repairs that weren't present in the first place. He also told me he didn't believe the PCM repair was necessary and the alternator repair probably wasn't either. And if it was, they may well have fried the alternator by DRIVING my car to them for the PCM replacement. The only thing to 'Trust the Midas Touch' for is to trust that it will touch your wallet and leave it empty, with a broken car. So I get in touch with District Manager David Thomas - I want my money back for everything except the 100k standard service. None of the repairs they did were needed, they did not fix the issue, they were negligent and ignorant. He initially agrees to give me $450 for the refurb PCM, after 2 weeks of calling and emailing every day, he reneges on that and tells me after his investigation, all parts and services were needed, Kia tech is a liar, my case is closed. No refund, terrible mechanic service, worse corporate customer care. AVOID MIDAS AT ALL COSTS!!! I hope this helps you reader, thanks for sticking through to the end. read more

Love this place!! The staff is so friendly. No matter how busy they are, they always rush my car into a bay and take care of any issue I have. From oil changes, fixing headlights, replacing tires or just checking fluids. They always help me out. I bring 2 vehicles here and have NEVER had a problem!!!! I went to the Mainville Ohio Midas shop yesterday to get an oil change and tire rotation. I had made an appointment 4 days earlier. When I arrived at 10 am there were 3 techs standing around talking and doing nothing. The Manager got my car in right away. The Manager told me it would take an hour or so to do the work. As I sat and waited inside the waiting area the Manager started to tell me about his life. He assured me he was a faster runner than the Cincinnati Reds outfielder Billy Hamilton, he was stronger than anyone else, that he could outfight anyone because of his small midrift and long arms and being Italian. He went on for over an hour about how amazing he was. Every time I went to ask him why the techs were standing around and not working, he just kept telling me how great he was. As he kept bragging - I kept watching the techs doing an hour long oil change and not rotating my tires. As one of the very fat and lazy techs pulled my car out to the waiting area ( now an hour and 20 minutes later), I had noticed that they didn't rotate my tires. I asked the long winded Manager if they had actually rotated my tires. He assured me that they had. I paid for the work and went to my car and checked one of the tires that I had marked before I got there to make sure the tires were indeed rotated. Guess what? Yep! They did not rotate my tires afterall. I came back in and the Bragging Manager asked me what the problem was. I told him that they had not rotated my tires like I told him in the first place. But how would he know after having his back to the service area the whole time telling me how great he was? He asked the fat and lazy tech if he had rotated my tires, and the tech said yes. He then told the fat and lazy tech that I had marked my tires before I got there and I knew that the tires weren't rotated. The bragging Manager then asked the fat and lazy tech once more if he had actually rotated my tires. The fat and lazy tech then admitted that he had lied and didn't rotate the tires. So I had to wait another 15 minutes and listen to the Manager explain why he wouldn't fire the fat and lazy tech for lying and cheating a customer. He said they couldn't find anyone to work there so they hired any fat,lazy,lying,cheating person that needed a job. I assured him that I would never come to another Midas again. He never apoligized once!!! So I would highly recommend that you don't waste your time and money and go to Midas and hear a bragging Manager and have a fat and lazy tech cheat and lie to you. read more

I'm lucky I've been around the block a few times or these guys would have charged me $600 for a brake job. I brought in 2012 my car for brake pads. Mind you, a 40 year old drives this car to and from work with normal speeds and normal braking. So, there wasn't anything major going on. We just needed new pads because the ones up front were squeeky. These guys proceeded to tell me that the rear pads were actually the bad ones and that the front ones were ok. Oh, and I needed new Rotors because there were marks on them and they couldn't be salvaged. Lucky I knew that you could refinish rotors so I told them to recheck it and call us back. Then they proceeded to tell me that all my pads were bad and the rotors were actually ok, but they needed to refinish them. However, if I didn't replace the rotors it would VOID the warranty on the pads front and rear. I'm like, "dude, just replace the rear pads and refinish the rotors so we can resolve this." $144 later we picked up the car. Then, I got a nail in my tire from their parking lot. So, I took it to Bob Summerrall to get it fixed. Ugh. read more
