Horrible experience. Car developed leak around filter...they informed me to go see another mechanic which I did. New mechanic determined that filter housing was not properly cleaned before new filter installed. Replaced with new filter and all is well. The sales manager at this particular location does not address issues in a timely manner. The sales manager tried to cancel the complaint before even addressing the issue. I called customer care 4 times before he would bother to call me back. I would recommend boycotting this store all together. He does not take responsibility for anything that happens at this store. I've had great service from other VIOC locations in the past, but my recent experience at this location on Union-Cemetery Road was anything but great. The service manager informed me that I had an oil leak under my car. As it is under factory warranty, I asked where the leak was coming from. He told me he is not allowed to tell me. Really? The next thing he did to earn my distrust was to place a sticker on my windshield showing my next oil change would be due in 3 months or 3,000 miles from my current mileage. My car calls for synthetic oil, which is better and lasts longer than non-synthetic. The mfr recommends oil changes every 10,000 miles. When I questioned him about why the sticker said I was due for another oil change in 3,000 miles, he told me a bunch of BS about synthetic oil being no better and the mfr was wrong in their recommendation. Trying to upsell me on other services is fine. Treating me like I'm a dumbass is not. Trust is not earned by lying to customers. Fortunately I'm educated on auto maintenance and didn't fall for his BS. Go somewhere else. read more

The man running the line was very good. He even gave me a discount because I let a lady go in front of me so they could change a tire on a truck In the next lane. BUT, the kids who change the oil are not that bright or not trained well enough.... For they changed my oil and then closed my hood with their oily gloves on.... Then had the nerve to use a dirty rag to "clean" the oil off of my hood.... Luckily I don't see any scratches but I had to go wash my car right away to get the oil off. read more

Do not waste your time going to this location. Went for an oil change on my lunch break. Waited in line..got in, gave my info. I was asked to put my keys in their "lock box". I advised I will not and I would place my keys on my dash as I have always done. I was then told they could not perform any service until I did. I mentioned I have never done so before and refuse to do so, not wanting my keys in a box where other people out theirs with germs, etc.....not happening! I got to Valvoline a decent amount and I would never recommend going...yes it's convenient but I don't know how many times I left a location and my check engine light comes on or it's not ran very professionally (in the manner they speak to each other for everyone to hear). I needed a an oil change before I left for columbus and I stopped by on my lunch break I told them the time I had and instead they of telling me to just leave my car they had me wait and then finally said it would be smarter to leave it after I had been suggesting to. I then left it, called and let them know to please please please lock it when they were done because I had all of my school books and supplies...the manager told of me he would and guess what, it wasn't. I wasn't told the price and walked out with a 70 dollar bill. DO NOT GO HERE. This place is a scam. Tried to get me for $75 for a standard oil change. They were a quarter of the way through the process and hadn't told me the price. I saw it on the screen and questioned them. They knocked off like $20 which is still a robbery. Another reviewer wrote pretty much the same thing so I guess it's their hustle. Never again. I don't what the secret sauce is but I wont go anywhere else for an oil change. This crew goes above and beyond in making the experience pleasant. They are thorough and efficient. I've only ever waited 15 minutes and they had people doing stuff ahead of my change. Everyone, is super friendly and focused on the customer. No pushy up sales! Ima big fan. I'm so angry & feel as though I've been played. I've never paid more than $35 -$40 for an oil change AT THIS LOCATION. I told the service man twice that I wanted the same basic oil change I've had before. He told me to pay $73 00. I questioned it & he immediately knocked $20 off. He offered no reason for the huge increase. I will never go back to that location, nor will I ever use Valvoline again. And I'm not done complaining online yet. Most of these places offer the same things - stay in your car, quick work, etc. They have not offered anything that I feel I need to come back for. My car is 16 yrs old. Came here with James for a conventional oil change. The guys are quick and really helpful. They don't try to force you to get anything, which I really like. The technician left the "intake hose" off which caused my engine to shut down the next day, rendering lost earnings, a tow and dealer repair cost. When explaining the problem at this location, I got a COMPLETE RUNAROUND. First visit (must return to talk to manager). Second visit (told Yehoshua Jackson would contact me). Third visit (told to submit receipts and some admin staffer would contact me). All lies. There are too many reputable people in this business to mess around with dishonest people. Valvoline sliced three holes in the filter that they installed. I had my car towed to Lincoln when the engine started smoking. The attached photo was taken by the Lincoln serviceman who said it looked like an oil filter tool had been misused. I asked Valvoline to reimburse me for my related, documented, out-of-pocket expenses. They refused to accept responsibility and denied my claim. I suppose they figured I wasn't coming back anyway, so why pay the claim. read more

Great quick service and the guys there know what they are doing and are very friendly. We also needed a headlight replaced and jiffy lube tried telling us we needed to buy the $150 light plus labor and pay $300. Then autozone told us to also buy the $150 light versus the standard $20 light which is all our Jeep actually had existing and needed. We didn't know this until we went back to Valvoline and they told us exactly what we needed and then they proceeded to replace it for free (with the $20 light we bought) since we already bought an oil change there earlier and used their services. I hate to tell stories but here goes... my 4Runner need a oil change pull in and got it done. Two hours later I got home from running errands and they had left a message to come back my oil plug was left in the bay; Needless to say when I got there I was running on empty. The next time with my new Mercury Milan got my oil change and left for Louisville, KY and kept hearing a flapping noise. We stopped and my daughter crawled under the car and said the oil cover had not been reattached. We were now just crossing the I75 bridge into KY so we stopped at the Florence Valvoline. When we pulled in and told the guy the problem he was immediately upset thinking his guys had done this and we assured him it was Union Cemetery in Ohio. He fixed it and we went on our way. Although I put very few miles on my car, I took my car in for the scheduled 3 month oil change. I was sitting in the waiting room when the manager came out and told me that he had checked my car and I didn't need an oil change at this time and to bring it back in a few months. They filled my window washer fluid and put air in my tires and didn't charge me. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I had this car since new oil change simple remove oil filter drain the oil replace the oil drain plug and New oil filter Clean off the oil that got on the frame. Fill with 4.5 quarts of synthetic valvoline oil..make sure everything snug and clean On 12/28/2016 I moved my sonata out of garage to clean my floor and la big oil spill from my Hyundai Sonata this car had never leaked oil before ..on 12/ 28/16 I tooled my car back to Valvoline and had it check again the answer was the oil change guy had not cleaned the oil off the car frame . Thia was a waste of over an hour of my time and unnecessary . This was my first time to Valvoline instant oil change and will be my last .. read more

The intial customer service is good. They are friendly and helpfull. I was amazed how fast they changed my oil. The big problem is be carefull when you go here as they did not change my oil filter during my oil change. They charged me for it. I did take the car back and they did correct it.
