I have been a long-time customer with Midas over 20yrs. I have yet to have a bad service with them. In those 20 yrs I have the same vehicle. The new management are outstanding as well. Deano went over and above the call of duty. Deano and Latisha show great concern for the safety of their customers. My oxygen sensor light was on Dino ran a test on my truck. I told Dino I had the 02 bank 2 sensor replaced and the that place didn't know what they were doing which was Sauers Buick in Laporte. Dino said I wasted my money so I rightly didn't trust him and said it was my catalytic converter needing replaced. He precedes to print me out the cost of a couple thousand and I said bring the truck down off the rack. So I preceded on my way home and decided to stop at this small privately owned shop. This fella ran a test on my truck and said you don't need a converter, after you replace the sensors sometimes they will blow a fuse. So for a .25 fuse with no charge I was on my way home. We will never step foot in that place again and I will go elsewhere for warranty work because our truck had just been in there for a noise we hear when we turn a corner and brake and 1900.00 bucks later its still there. When Jesse ran the place there was always a line a cars waiting for service. Now you can pick you day and time with no problem. read more

I was not happy with the cost of a radiator repair that was done here. My son drove his car to the nearest Midas having a radiator leak that he had being out of state and needed this fixed asap. They wanted to charge him $400-500 more than 2 other Midas places near them with the same service. I called them and let them know this and said they were overpriced, and I thought they were taking advantage of a 18-year-old and his car being stranded out of state. They denied it and said excuses about doing more things then the other places which was very sketchy. If it was maybe $100 or a little more i could understand but not that much. I have a very bad taste in my mouth and I do not trust them at all and would not go here or ever trust them again. Be very careful so you dont get taken advantage of here. read more

Of all the mechanics in the area, this is a place to avoid. I was out of town with my family and thought they could manage a simple brake repair. The owner is a slob and runs his business accordingly. Nice front desk staff but unfortunately for their customers they all have to defer to an incompetent boss. My friends and I were on our way back home which is around 2 hours away from Midas. Underneath the hood started smoking so we found the nearest mechanic. Little did we know that the mechanic we were going to was going to be a huge blessing. They looked at our car when they were closing in 15 minutes and figured out the problem super fast. We didn't wait long before our car was ready for us to take back home. They didn't charge us anything and were just the nicest people and the best customer service we've ever experienced with mechanics. read more

Man did these guys bail me out. Was on the highway and car started acting very strange. Made it to Midas half an hour before they closed and they got it right on the rack and diagnosed. Didn't have the part they needed in stock but got it fixed up the next day. More than that they got me and my family home safe that night through an extreme act of generosity. BUSINESS REVIEW 4/16/2022- I took my explorer into Midas for break work $1500 later my car stops like it should 4/19/2022- Low brake fluid warning shows up On the dash. Happen on my way home from work 4/20/2022- Bring is back in and they top the fluid top in and out like 10min 4/23/2022- Low brake fluid warning shows up again on my way home. Get home get ready to leave backing out my driveway brake peddle feels off so pull back in. Complete brake failure and almost go through my garage door luckily the driveway is on a slope. 4/24/2022- Buddy comes over and shows me what happen and it's a major thing. 4/25/2022- Go to Midas but store manager isn't there. The person I know who can make it right. 4/27/2022- I go in today. Show him the picture and tell him all of what happen. He wasn't having it. Sayin It definitely wasn't anything they did. Got real defensive becuse they gave me a discount why would they go mess them up. I kept telling him mistakes happen its life. He still refuses to do anything. I ask for corporates # he just tell me its on board behind me in plain site. I tell him just get my car. Some lady in there ask me if she should shop there I say no. Then he says I'm slandering the business. I'll never do business here again. The day I brought it in at 8:30 ish told me it's be like 2-3hr so they gave me a ride home. I call around 11:30 becuse I haven't heard anything. Said another 2 hours or so becuse they had the wrong parts delivered to them. Magical finished fast after I complain. They did some extra work on my exhaust to make up for. The "not our problem attitude" is what got me. I was on 94 both times when the warning lights came on. I didn't have Lilly either time luckily either. This had the potential to be life ending. He did agree it was messed with too. Up till 4/16/2022 never had any leak problems at all. They were the only place to touch it. Had to call off on a 4/24/2022 which is a premium day for us at work. Had to work my day off which is a day I'd have my mini too. I'm still boiling. Rushed through explaining what was going to be done. Gave extra repairs my car did not need. Scared me into thinking I had to get the work done right now today. And lied on the pre approval form to get financing approved. Wrote my income in as much higher than it actually just to get it approved. So, I got roped into a higher payment than I can actually afford.And the mechanic who I delt with was extremely inappropriate and offensive. I will never ever come back. I was also lied to about how much the payments would be. This was by far my worst experience I have ever had dealing with any auto shop around here. This place is a rare find. They have remembered my visits over the years and what our car needs. They are reasonably priced, careful in their assessment of what your car requires, and considerate of your time. More than once, I have been told that my car did not require the repair which I thought I needed and to come again in six months. Your mechanic describes every repair carefully and jokes when no repair is actually needed. They are really helpful when you walk in the door if you are not sure what your problem is. read more

I came in because the catalytic converter light was on and I was afraid a bad converter would damage my engine. The Midas manager checked it out, said there was nothing that appeared to be wrong with the converter and I was getting a false reading. He spent an hour pouring over the car and charged me-- nothing. Now that is ethical service!!! Highly recommend him. read more

My car wasn't starting every time so I brought it to Midas and the owner, Jesse, told me I needed a new fuel pump and was going to charge me $500 for the part and almost $400 for labor. I didn't have that kind of money and the price of the fuel pump sounded suspicious to me, so I decided to bring my car home. When I went to pick it up, he told me it wouldn't start at all and the fuel pressure was 0%. I took my car to a different garage and not only did they start my car on the first try, but they tested the fuel pressure and it was at 58%. I didn't need a fuel pump and Midas was going to charge me over $1000 for repairs I didn't need. I 100% believe it was because I'm a woman. Despicable. read more

Whatever you do, go out of your way not to use this facility! By far, this is the laziest group of owners and workers I have ever come across. Do yourselves a favor, drive on by. Go up the street to Valvoline and you'll be significantly more satisfied with the service, the cost, and the outcome. My vehicle started leaking oil after they did my oil change. I was never asked what kind of oil I wanted either. My knowledge of any shop is that they usually try to talk to you and at least try to sell you something else. Maybe because it was my older work car they thought it wasn't worth their time. They put thinner oil than my car was used to in it, causing me to have to change it again with thicker oil. My car is older and burns oil. I wish they would have asked me what I wanted in my car. I did not contact them, because I did not want to deal with the standoffish attitude the staff has. read more
