Recommend highly! My family and I have used Midas (several locations) for our car repairs for many years. Currently, Preserve Crossing in New Albany is our location of choice. While we have always received great service, most recently, they went way above and beyond in servicing my recently re-acquired, 2001 VW Beetle. I bought this car in December 2000 brand new and had it for 11 years. I traded it in 4 or 5 years ago but regretted it every day. I loved that car! While perusing Auto Trader a few months ago, my son came across it and realized that it was my old car. Needless to say, it is back home but a little worse for wear. I'm not sure what happened to it but it is in dire need of TLC. Brian set me up for a Saturday morning appointment. Jerry started the 'full physical' bright and early that morning. By that afternoon it was clear that there was much that needed to be done. Long story short, Jerry worked until almost 10pm, well past their 6pm close time, to get the job done and Brian was there with him, both keeping me updated as the process progressed. Needless to say, these guys give GREAT customer service plus they have the best personalities to go along with it! To add to the great service, Brian worked with me on the pricing! Needless to say, although we always get great service from them, this experience further confirms that we will keep having our automotive repair needs taken care of for a long time and I will highly recommend them to all my friends and family! Yesterday my car decided to blow a tire on 161 during rush hour and I needed tires fast. I called Midas primarily since they had the free alignment special with purchase of 4 tires. They were able to order in the tires that my car needed (unfortunately, my car requires a weird size tire... so I am used to this). Being 7.5 months pregnant, I was terrified to drive my car with the spare tire during rush hour again, so I left work and went to Midas to wait for the tires to arrive. The tires took some time to get there but Frank went straight to work getting my old tires off in anticipation, and Tom was great in answering my questions while we waited. The tires were delayed and Frank came out to check on me, offered me water. I asked him if there was a restaurant or someplace that sold candy bars... that sweet man went to the gas station and bought me a king size Reese's Peanut butter Cup. :) When the tires finally arrived, they were quick and thorough and, once again, answered all of my questions. Any other company would have been angry that my car kept them over at work... but not Tom and Frank. I will be back. I have never had better customer service - ever- in any dealings with my car. They definitely deserve more than a 5 star review, and more than earned my repeat business read more

I have been going to this shop since it first opened whenever that was but I think it was probably close to 20 years ago. They have fixed my cars numerous times and I have never really had to go anywhere else. They have done some major jobs for me but nothing trumps the last one they pulled off for me! I have a 1973 Mercedes Benz of my now deceased grandfather that was his dream car and now I love it for the fact it was his. I took it out recently and had a major/catastrophic brake failure to the point there was a small fire! I didn't hesitate to have it towed to my trusty Midas guys. Before long they had everything figured out... but the real challenge came when they tried to get replacement parts for such an old car. I will just summarize that they went above and beyond to land me what parts they could and then they rebuilt the parts they couldn't. They even had some corporate people looking across the parts world! So now I essentially have a completely overhauled brake system on my family heirloom and I can't thank them enough. Damon, Tom, Dan, and mechanic Tim were first class! But truly over the years they have all been first class. They have a customer for life in me and my family. Thanks again New Albany Midas! I've brought my minivan to Midas for service on several other occasions, and always received expert, fair-priced service. On this occasion, other car had a leaking front tire, both fronts well-worn. Ran across a great deal on FB Marketplace for 2 tires, brought into Midas to replace my fronts. Tires were factory-recommended size, but detail-oriented tech noticed a slight interference with suspension part, due to lowered stance from factory sport springs. Rear tires were slightly lower profile, so Tech suggested swapping rears with fronts. Front and rear rims slightly different sizes, so this meant rear tires would have to be unmounted and remounted to front rims; same with the front tires onto the rear rims. Interference resolved, car runs great! All the switching around took way more time than was allotted for the appointment, but tech persevered and finished job without keeping car overnight. This kind of expert service, commitment to finishing job makes this one of the very few shops I will bring my cars for service. Kudos, Midas! read more

I had a terrible experience with a different service center, so I called Midas to check out their options. I worked with Brian and his customer service skills are excellent and personable! I called late morning to see if they could get my car in with such short notice for the breaks. Brian told me to drop it off and he would have it done within a couple hours. He kept me extremely informed throughout the day, May 4 2016, about what needed to be done and what was recommended. Brian and his team are extremely knowledgeable and honest, which is hard to find in the auto repair business these days. I have nothing to say, but great things about my experience and plan to take my car back for all new tires here within the next couple weeks, along with oil changes/tire rotation. I found myself in a bind on Wednesday evening, needing a serpentine belt and to then find out a belt tensioner. A lovely reference lead me to Midas, where Brian took excellant care of me. I was in and out of there and able to carry on with my evening in like 25 min. Brian and the other gentleman working were very polite and made me feel comfortable. As a lady, that is important to not feel mislead or taken advantage of. I feel it is important to mention that the other gentleman in the waiting area had nothing but great things to say about Brian and his team. Also, it was near the end of their shift/day and they were still willing to do what it took to help me out, and were happy to do so. I had two minor issues I needed checked and fixed. They wasted no time getting to it, and seemed to do a good job. The person I dealt with directly was friendly throughout the process and didn't try to upsell me, which I really appreciated. I just took the car in, they did the job, and then I took my car and went home. That's how I prefer these things to go. The location is also a major plus in my opinion. Being basically on the corner of Hamilton and Thompson road, you have two quick and easy options for getting in and out; whereas a lot of mechanic shops tend to be right at busy intersections. Also, the parking is really simple, as the building is by itself, and not in some tiny jammed up shopping center. read more

As a woman, it is sometimes very frustrating taking your car in for service as I am not that familiar with cars or how to fix them. My car had to be towed to Midas with 2 flat tires. Usually when I have taken my car other places, they call you with an estimate and then give you "the list" of things needing done (usually an astronomical price). This was not the case with Midas. While the lady on the phone was polite and professional she misled me in pricing for my brakes. She stated that my quote included parts and labor. When I got the bill there was an additional $30 for other parts like fluids. It seemed misleading because the quote should've been the full amount and not tacked on an extra 10% of supplies. She stated that Midas has a corporate policy that prohibits them from stating all the fees. I told her it was dishonest and misleading and I won't be going back to Midas if that's their policy to mislead people. read more

The employees there are very friendly. I recommend this shop to anyone.....As a young female, I have been taken advantage of at other shops. I do not feel taken advantage of in any way when I come here. They are always very honest and accurate with the information the provide to me about my car. At other shops, I have been lied to and made to feel stupid because of the decisions I was making with repairs for my car. Not this place. Go here! Will NOT be disappointed. I went in because my engine was making a nasty sound, and Cody was able to it diagnose quickly. Fixed the pressing issue and sent me on my way in 10 min. He showed me a few things that were concerning about my car and recommended getting it fixed soon. He was awesome and gave a welcoming approach to me when I arrived until I left. I normally do not give kudos to a business in that I expect good service in this day and age but I have to say that I was very satisfied with the service and attention I received at this Midas. Employees, Thomas Young and Nathan Glaser, were both very pleasant and informative during my most recent visit. I went to Midas because I've been having troubles with my exhaust system. They got me in within 30 minutes without making an appointment. They even took me to my car while it was lifted and showed me the problem and how soon it needed to be fixed and if it could wait. I received excellent customer service from Cody who even remembered my name from when I called in to see if I could do a walk in. Very impressed overall and would highly recommend. read more

I have come to this location 3 times and this last time was the best service yet! I scheduled an appointment and was in and out within 45 min with service FREE OF CHARGE!!! There was a piece rattling under my car and they removed it, topped off my oil and did a tire pressure check. They have been great any time I run into car trouble! read more
