DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. I brought my Mercedes E350 to Tire Choice #0601 because of a front-end knocking noise and asked them to diagnose and repair the problem. They diagnosed suspension components as the cause and recommended over $1,700 in repairs. After keeping my car for several days and failing to return calls and voicemails, I finally got through to them and was told the repairs were completed--but the knocking noise was still there. I paid $1,704.45 and picked up my car with the exact same problem I brought it in for. I was also told their alignment machine/software did not have the specifications for my vehicle, yet the invoice states that alignment was declined by the customer. To make matters worse, they entered the wrong mileage on my invoice. My car has approximately 60,000 miles, but the invoice shows the vehicle leaving the shop with nearly 100,000 miles. I now have to spend my own time dealing with the consequences of that error and making sure it does not affect my vehicle history. Paying over $1,700 and leaving with the same unresolved problem is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere, especially if you need an accurate diagnosis rather than simply replacing parts and hoping for the best. read more

Had two new tires put on my vehicle. Afterwards, my vehicle was shaking so I know they did not balance my tires. Probably because it was nearing closing time. I paid for an alignment. When I called, which is annoying to go through a third party, I received a call back only to be told they did do an alignment. No customer service and I would not recommend this place. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for 10 AM this morning. After checking in the man behind the counter asked if I would be staying or if I'd be coming back to pick up my car, I confirmed with him to service takes about an hour and said I'd be back around 11. At 11 I walk in and man behind the counter says, " oh you're here to pick up", I replied and said "yes but it looks like they're just now starting on my car. " As I was walking in, I watched the technician begin checking my car. He apologized and said that someone above him approved for more appointments to be scheduled than what they had available. I was told it would be another 30 to 45 minutes before they be finished with my car. At this point I asked for my keys back because clearly my time is not valued by them so I will gladly take my business elsewhere. You lost a customer of over 8 years because of your inconsideration for my time. I understand un expected things happen, but sticking to a scheduled appointment time shouldn't be one of the those issues. The most frustrating part is that after I dropped off my keys, I had to verbally confirm my cell phone number, but during that hour while they weren't working on my car but instead running even more behind, I was never called. I had a appointment today at 9:30am so I go in there and the guy behind the counter told me that my appointment had been rescheduled to tomorrow at 9:30am. He also said he emailed me this morning but he never did so. Apparently, there was only 2 mechanics but that honestly isn't our problem; they should not have accepted the appointment. I'm a first time customer to get my oil change and I can promise you, I will not be going back! My time is not valued by them at all. read more

Cannot say enough good things about Monro in Gahanna. I had my car parked at the Columbus airport for over two weeks. I arrived back in Columbus late Friday afternoon of Labor Day after traveling more than 12 hours - imagine my despair when turning on the car my tire indicator light went on and when I drove the car it made a horrible noise. I thought for sure I might have to spend the night in Columbus (I live in West Virginia and still had a 2 hour drive ahead of me) because I thought I would never find a place that would be open after 5 PM on a Friday I found this location online and called them and they said to come right over. They put my car up and determined I had a nail in a tire and that the noise was most likely caused by rust on the rotors. I asked him if it would be safe to drive home and he assured me that it was a slow leak and that they had put enough air in that I could wait until I got home to take care of it. I was in a hurry to get home and really just wanted to get underway. They were very understanding and did not put any pressure on me to purchase the tires from them. And they did not charge me a dime. Great customer service. I am a convert to Monro and will definitely go to the local store. My experience I had at Monro today was awesome. They went out of their way to help me today. Of course the screw that was in my tire was not patchable. It was near the side of tire and I was afraid that was going to happen. Not only did they call around to other stores to find the least expensive replacement tire, he went and picked it up so that I didn't have to drive on my donut. The new tire was located, picked up, and installed in less than 1.5 hours. They didn't have to do all that and I will be a client of theirs for a long time. Way to go Monro, way to go. read more

In December I took my vechicle to Monro for some service repair, including a battery. Less than a month later the battery was dead and I had to get a tow to another service shop. This time I went to a Jeep Certified Service shop. They said the battery that Monro had just put in was dead. They then gave me the dead battery and said they'd fit me into their schedule to work on my jeep. I took the battery back to Monro and spoke to the service manager and asked for a refund and explained what happened. (Refund just for the battery $168, when all other service was over $1,000.) They took the dead battery and said refunds are not given in store but that they processed the request and a member from corporate would call to issue the refund that same day. After not receiving a call we decided to call customer service ourselves. 4 times over 10 days. Left multiple voicemails, never got a call back. Went into the store today and spoke to the service manager again, Kendrick Schlip. While speaking to the manager, a service technician starting budding into the conversation and yelling at myself and my fiancé. The service manager did nothing. When I asked for the name of the technician who was speaking so rudely, they refused. They began telling us we had no right to be there and that we had to leave. Kendrick continued to allow this technician to yell and speak so disrespectfully to us. When my fiancé asked for the full name of the technicians who worked on the vechile ( the invoice only gave C.Eck) Kendrick turned to the service tech and showed him the names. Then the manager refused to provide the information. While in the shop the service manager called his manager Lawerence Malloy. Lawerence also refused to speak to us or work to get the refund of the battery resolved. He said we needed to get the invoice from the new battery to turn into corporate before they would do anything. That makes no sense why would they need to see what we had to pay somewhere else. We wanted refunded for the battery they installed that we returned to them, they they tested and confirmed was dead. Spent over hour in the shop today. Called customer service on speaker phone and they hung up while I was on hold. The service manager attempted to call. Eventually someone answered. They said the refund should be processed next week. When we asked customer service rep how we go about getting handleing way the tech spoke to us and treated us, she stated it is through customer service department. When I asked if she had access to the employee roster she said no. When I asked how she would now which staff members we were complaining about, she said she wouldn't. read more

I ran over a screw. Scheduled a repair thinking it would only cost 20 or 30 dollars. They called me after a few hours of dropping it off and told me it was ready. Walked in to find out I didn't owe a dime. I was impressed to say the least. My car caught a hole in the side wall during a 2 hour trip after my 3rd shift job on a Saturday. These are low profile very rare and difficult tires to just call up and receive on the spot! Jim Brooks at tire choice auto service centers in Hilliard made one call and the boss at the warehouse who he called drive straight down and delivered that retire to his shop. Jim said it would be hour for delivery I counted right out of our if not a few minutes under before it was delivered, Jim's shop team took the tire and side and had it changed over and had me rolling back on the road in about 15 minutes. They really pulled through on a Saturday and a rare situation and helps me handle might ask before I had to go back to my shift at my job an hour and a half away. Five star rating all day this crew knows what they're doing! I don't give very many recommendations but these guy's truly earn their service rating and recommendations! read more

I visited Monro to get my driver side car window motor replaced.When I went there I met with Lawrence who was at the front desk and he took my information. Then he printed a paper showing the cost for diagnosis of the issue. I told him that I do not need a diagnosis as I already know what the issue is and I just want them to replace the motor. He refused that and said he is going to diagnose the issue and will adjust the cost of diagnose (130$)if I ended up getting the motor replaced. Then I asked him how much will all that cost and he said it will not cost over couple hundred dollars. Then he asked the mechanic to look into the car and after sometime he told me that there is an issue with Motor and Regulator and it will cost 685$ to fix it. I asked him how much the parts were and he gave me a very high price for those parts. I told him I can buy those parts from Autozone and if they can put them in for me but he refused saying he won't do it and I have to buy the parts from him only. He was charging double the price than Autozone. When I said I do not want to get the parts from him then he made me pay him the 130$ for the diagnosis and behave extremely rude. I paid him the amount as I did not want to get in to an argument with an arrogant person. After I left from there I went to Autozone to buy those parts and they asked me to find out something about my motor so I called the Monro shop and asked them the question but they refused me to answer and said I need to open the car door and find out what I need. Despite of paying them 130$ for the diagnosis they did not answer me the question. This is very off putting and extremely disappointing visit and I urge you to please take any action on this. My Brother in law has ALS and is bound to his wheelchair. Their exhaust pipe broke on their way through town and we needed a emergency fix because he is unable to get out of the van. They were entirely full and busy and realized the situation. They dropped everything and got their van in and fixed immediately. Outstanding service! Much better than Firestone in Gahanna who said he would have to wait in the car until they had an open appointment in about 6-7 hours! Firestone, I won't be back. read more

Extremely slow for them not to be busy at the time that I came for an oil change and tire rotation. It took them about an hour to get that done. When I left and started to drive I noticed every time I will come to a stop my car would make a squeaking noise, when it didn't do that before I entered this shop. I don't want to take it back there and have them fix it in fear that they'll mess something else up so now I have to get the squeaky noise taken care of somewhere else. read more

Do not waste your time! They are very friendly on the phone when you call but they will try to find everything they can possibly replace and do to create extra unnecessary charges!! My Honda dealership even said there was no reason to replace parts they were telling me that needed replaced when all I needed was some new brake pads. I got my car back and took it right down the street to Mr. Tire who apologized for Monroe and just replaced my brakes as needed and did a couple of little extra touches for free. It was a waste of my time dealing with Monro. I should have learned from the last time I went to Monro to have a muffler replaced and they were determined they needed to replace the exhaust too but I refused that service and kept the car for a couple more years and never did have to replace the exhaust. :) read more

I had my rear brakes and calipers replaced about 2 months ago at Monro Gahanna. At that time, front brake pads and rotors were fine. Rotors were replaced elsewhere less than 20,000 miles ago. Amazingly now, less than 60 days later, my front rotors are totally shot. The volvo mechanic suspects it was from over tightening the front lug nuts - which was done by Monro since they had all my tires off for inspection less than 2 months ago while doing back brakes. Volvo mechanic is replacing front pads and rotors due to MONRO'S inept mechanics. Front end work was quoted to be $1,521 by Monro over the phone. I am having all front end work done, oil change and more than $250 worth of body work (side mirror replaced) for less than $1,200 ..plus getting authentic volvo parts instead of the cheap parts Monro uses - which happen to make my back brakes squeak! 100% ripped off at Monro! Over priced, second rate parts, back brakes squeak and shoddy and shady shady shady mechanical work!!! If you want to overpay and be set up for future issues go to Monro! Do not go here unless you know exactly what needs to be done to your car. I am usually a do-it-yourselfer but I don't know about brakes so I brought my car here after they started squealing 3 days before. The staff was friendly but they robbed me blind. First, they kept telling all different things that needed replaced on my car, from my tires to my transmission. I know a little bit about a lot when it comes to cars and when I finally got them to understand that I don't want/need anything besides my brakes fixed they began to add to list of things that I needed to buy in order to fix my brakes. For some reason I believed them and the bill came to over $1100. Finally, after I had paid and gotten my car back after 4 hours for a job that I found out I could do by myself in 2, I noticed that all of the change in my center console was gone. I know for a fact that there was change in there because it was on my passenger seat and while I was sitting in their parking lot I tried to clean up the inside of the car. So, while my car has a couple of other little problems that I might have brought back here to get fixed, I now see that these gentlemen are nothing but thieves. They could have gained a customer and made a lot more money off of me but instead they looked through my car and made an additional 72 cents. Congratulations, you played yourself. read more
