    Jalapeño smash burger

My friends and I came here for Burger Week on a busy Sunday afternoon, and we all got the special for that week: the Jalapeño Popper Burger. This was at their food truck location. Along with the burger, I got myself a Boneyard Ultra Pop - King Soda. The burger cost about $10 as part of the Burger Week special. It took around 30 minutes before my buzzer notified me that my order was ready. Upon unwrapping it, my first impression was that it looked a bit underwhelming--it was small and filled with cream cheese, jalapeños, and Frito chips. But after the first bite, it turned out to be surprisingly delicious! Every single topping complemented the others really well. After finishing the burger, I actually wished I had ordered two! The soda was interesting--it had a lavender-like flavor. I thought it was good, but the floral notes might be too strong for those who don't enjoy those kinds of tastes. Since this is their food truck location, the ambiance was quite loud, as the food court is shared with several other vendors. There were plenty of tables and chairs available, but because it was such a popular day, it was difficult for groups larger than five to find seating together. I do appreciate that there are other food vendors nearby, allowing you to mix and match what you want to eat or drink, thanks to all the available options in the area.

We got the Frank Gallager weiner week special, it was good and very similar to a chili cheese dog! We didn't wait long, took less than 5 minutes to get our food

Been here a few times now. So far, this is my favorite Smashburger in Portland area! The sauce is unreal and I love the crispy edges. I will be back!

Great Burger! Really appreciate you taking time for the customers in house, instead of wasting your time answering the phone.

The smashburger is pretty decent here - it's $10 for the deluxe with 2 patties.

It had a panko crust which sometimes I prefer to batter. They were a little bit salty for my taste but ever since I got COVID lots of things have tasted salty so take that with a grain of salt I'm not a tartar sauce guy but this is some great sauce. I feel like later I got a piece of tarragon(?) out of my teeth and reminded me of the herby yummy sauce. I scoffed at first at the chips. Very non uniformly cut but surprisingly all well cooked. I don't know if it's they type of potato but the skin was really off putting. But solid toothsome chips that a splash of vinegar helps a lot. If I end up in a similar position again I'll definitely consider coming back.

I came after a review I read on Eater for FoPo area eats. I'm not a huge fried food fan but this place was good. I got the Steelhead trout fish and chips. Wait was ok they give you a buzzer so you can stroll around the food court. Took about 10 mins not bad. The locally sourced steelhead was a delicious surprise. Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there. If you're staying you could probably cruise over to any local breweries or the bar cart for a beer to complement the fried food. Good time!!!
