So. The original service was great. Quick, easy, and got good results. However. We finally moved into the house they inspected and there are leaks everywhere that were not noted on inspection. When I looked through it all, the images of where the leaks are show that there really wasn't an inspection, as there was stuff from the previous homeowners covered everything. We will have to replace over $6k of things in order to correct the leaks between bathrooms and the kitchen. Pretty disappointed on that. read more

As a first time home buyer I was told many times that the home inspection process is one of the scariest parts of purchasing a home. The number of items that come back can be daunting and can often cause buyer's remorse to kick in. Lane Ward was kind, friendly, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The office had given him some notes it seemed from our original conversation so he knew that this was my first purchase. I asked him if I could follow him throughout the process and ask questions and he was more than happy to let me do so. He explained to me the process of what he was looking at, what he was looking for, and also gave some helpful recommendations along the way. As it would be the case with any home, but especially an older home, he explained some common things he sees with older homes and what he has heard from some customers about that they do to their homes to improve any issues they find. He was so thorough and had great attention to detail, pointing out things I would have never noticed. The office staff was friendly when I called and when they asked what kind of inspection I wanted, I was truly unsure as I didn't know what was typical. We recently did a home inspection on a house that we are considering purchasing. The primary home inspector did his inspection and then quickly went through his checklist. He didn't really seem to be very aware and knowledgeable about much of anything at all and I would never use him again. There was a loose pipe in one of the sinks and I said, "oh, did you try tightening it" and he replied, "no, that's not my job". This is just a poor attitude and this was only one thing. Several things like the roof couldn't be inspected because of the snow and I asked him to come back as I had paid for those things as part of the inspection. He agreed, but definitely was not forthright in offering to come and do them. I would personally use a different home inspector in the future as Scott seems to not have the best talent. read more

I have to rescind my initial rating. After being in the house for a year I can no longer recommend this company. I'm now dealing with foundation issues because they missed that my gutters were a complete disaster. Every gutter person who comes by says they are the worst gutter install they have ever seen, water is basically going straight down into the foundation which has in a year caused my exterior and interior walls to crack significantly among other issues. They didn't check the shower pan on my tiled shower so I have water pooling in the corner so I'm going to have to get that redone. My whole bathroom was smelling like sewage and I couldn't figure out what was going on. Turns out, that same shower also didn't have a ptrap in it. Also in this same shower (even after the ptrap issue was fixed) I get the loudest gurgling noises emanating from the drain when you run the washing machine. The venting for plumbing is all wrong in this house. Also not too long after moving in, my basement bathroom flooded and got sewage everywhere. I was getting an insane amount of bugs on the first floor and after getting sprayed multiple times realized (when my earbud disappeared into the abyss) that I had a massive hole under my vanity that led direct to the crawl space... no wonder Also the plumbing job they did on this vanity^ was abysmal - looked like it was done by child. That's just the tip of the iceberg of the issues I've run into. The last year has been issue after issue. I've been so focused trying to deal with it all and it just hit me that this stuff should have been caught by the inspection. I remembered that I had given this company a good review so I came back to at least fix that. I still agree that the organization of the report was useful but you should 100% get a second opinion if you choose to use them. read more
