Plan to wash your car afterwards. Hehehe. Wifey and I enjoyed our time here. Talked to a very personable young lady serving us. Told us about the different types of wines & how they tasted. She also had a small cup of mini dark chocolate chips (DCC) and oyster crackers (OC). The DCC with the red wines changed the flavors very nicely. The OC was for the white wines. I'm always tryin weird stuff with tastings. So of course I have a DCC with one of the semi sweet white wines and BAMB!!! Ohh baby!!! It was weird, but the flavors were pretty good! Yeah yeah of course I can't remember which white it was. I guess we gotta go back to try and figure it out? Hehehe. Ok ok, so after the tasting, wifey got a glass of the Sangria and I got a glass of the Wild Fire. We also got the bread with the olive oil Parmesan dip. It does have red peppers inside the dip, but it was a subtle kick. We go the Nighthawk Nachos later since I wanted another glass of Wild Fire. Well, I'd better get going. Pretend the wine doesn't even exist. If they didn't consider themselves a winery, I would give them a 4 but you can't be a winery with terrible wine and get a 4/5

The wine tasting gives you four glasses from one of these categories: red, white, and sweet. Afterwards you get to choose which one you want a full glass of. Their flatbreads taste good and there is a good variety of options. I would prefer a larger sized portion even if at a few dollars more. Their crepes tasted great. Their 3 egg omelette is the most refined one I've had to date. Despite being outside, the waitress was great in stopping and checking on us. Want to do a wine tasting and have children? What a friendly place for that. The view is beautiful outside with a small pond. There is a "petting zoo" with plenty of friendly animals. Come visit them.

*MUST VISIT FALL ACTIVITY*…read more Louisberg Cider Mill is such a gem and a charming little place to visit! Just 25-30 minutes away from Overland Park and surrounding areas. The parking is easy, and during fall they have a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and family activities - currently they have opened up their activities space from 12th Sept. The parking area to the left is geared towards the fall activity and on the right you will find the country store itself along with hard cider booth, Food truck and a tiny Mill itself. Since it was 90° outside, I skipped the activities and went into the store directly. The rest of the year, the country store and mill are open I believe. It was my very first cider mill experience. And I couldn't have picked up a better place than this one - absolutely fell in love!! The store feels like walking straight into fall ... the smell inside the store will make you nostalgic instantly. The store shelves were stocked with everything from fruit butters,BBQ sauces, Loose Teas, Jams ,Preserves to pancake/donut/cake mixes, ciders, and wines along with seasonal decor and kids stuff. I couldn't help but feel like a kid again lol. I left with strawberry rhubarb preserve, Dutch apple preserve, apple butter, orchard blend hard cider, and the donuts off course. NOTE - Since I am a diabetic, I'm always searching for food items which has no extra sugar added, and I found that many of the preserves butters had no extra sugar added ... it was a win-win situation for me. The donuts are warm, golden, dusted with Sugar, and extremely soft inside. It 100% answered the question like if fall had a flavor then this could be it - very cinnamony and cider like. The Dutch apple preserves were full of crisp apple chunks huge ones, the strawberry rhubarb preserve was also perfectly made and the apple butter had a deep caramelized flavor and my husband loved the hard cider for being crisp and slight sweetness. Right next door is the mill itself, with displays of cider-making equipment and baskets of fresh apples. There's also outdoor seating to eat the purchased food. I'll definitely going to be back when the temperature cools down to explore the pumpkin patch and the corn maze. If you're anywhere near Kansas City, this place is a MUST fall activity. Even if you just go for the donuts, it's worth the trip.

(Vodka, Rum and Bourbon) Driving up to the location you see a large building with a large outdoor area in the middle of the country, with extra large fences all around it. You find out later that the range raises ELK, which you can see in the evening time. Once inside we spoke with the staff who gave us a tour of the main bar area, was informed that in the future the will have tours of the distilling area. The main bar area was the original farm house that had been added on to, the wood inside was farmed from the land. The bar has a beautiful large wood slab and makes up the main Bar. The have large variety of beers on tap, and a large selection of cocktails that all features their spirits. The art work thought out the bar is features from the owners designs. There are several TVs and a great sound system inside to watch the game or listen to music. They have plans or bringing in live bands and food trucks for the outdoor area. Staff is super nice and helpful. The GM was very knowledgeable about the property and the spirits. The bartender was able to make drink that taste like she had been making them for years. (which she claims she has not) I meet Steve Parker the Co-Founder and a Retired Navy Seal who was also very friendly and told us his story as well as the story of the Distillery. They have a great staff and everyone that is involved that we met, make you feel like you have been going there for years.

Even as an ex-bartender myself I was choking on the overpowering cigarette smoke and the aroma of stale beer. We turned to leave but were pursued by the bartender/server who informed us that we could eat at the bar (no explanation why the actual restaurant seating was closed during business hours).
