Sold me a dog with Parvo a few months back. Knowing it had Parvo they still left all the other puppies out to sell. Wouldnt give money back even though they told us they were going to mail it to us and more importantly caused lots of heartbreak and now we cant get another puppy because of the disease at our house. I guess looks can be deceiving because this store looks bad. We wanted someone to groom our dog and a friend told us about this place. So we took our dog to be bathed and groomed. We were so happy with the quality of the cut, our dog looks professionally groomed and smelled so good at a fair price $35 plus tax. Thanks again Middle Earth for taking care of our baby. My son bought a dog from here in two days it was sick. Turns out it had PARVO and also Giardia. Been in vet care for4 days and passed away as of this morning. Over 1500 in vet bills and Middle earth is saying their was nothing wrong with the puppy. Contacted the breeder and the rest of the puppies are fine. I would not step foot into this store. We just got our puppy on Friday and she's currently at the Vet's office overnight to be pumped full of fluids and antibiotics! We had her 1 whole day before she started throwing up and diarrhea everywhere! The vet isn't sure if she'll make it. Our poor 9 week old puppy was basically limp and lifeless when we left her to be taken care of tonight. When you pay $800 for a puppy you'd expect it to live more than 3 days after you got it! I'm hoping for good news in the morning but honestly after seeing how dehydrated and lifeless she was I'm expecting the worst. This place needs to be shut down! Do not buy anything from here!!! I can't believe this place is in business. Went in to look for a guinea pig and they were in a large pen that had NO hide-aways and no escapes. They are prey animals and need to have some kind of covering to retreat to! What really turned me away was that the employees stood around while two guinea pigs FOUGHT EACH OTHER. They had clearly been left to do so because one guinea had both fresh and old open wounds. No pet store should allow this to happen, it is completely unacceptable (especially when the pen they were in had features designed to allow a divider to separate animals). They are in charge of the animal's welfare until it is adopted. The conditions the rest of the animals lived in was deplorable and I walked right out. Please avoid this "store". read more

We bought a Chinese Crested from this place, she was already 5 months old and paid $800.00 for her. She was registered. I was told to contact the breeder to get the papers. I contacted the breeder after some months, and she wasn't registered and she wasn't eligible to be registered. We were going to breed her. Middle Earth told us that this was just an error on their part and we would not be reimbursed any money. We would never have paid this kind of money for a dog without knowing it was registered. We were lied to and ripped off and I would NEVER buy from them again. read more

If you want heart breaks and upset children this is the place to go. Bought a dog here and 5 days later it died from parvo. This pet shop did not care one bit. The brother to our dog also died the day before and the owner of the store, Karen said she took the sister home and 10 days after our dog died her dog is being treated with parvo. Do the math where did the dog get parvo...From Middle Earth Pet Shop. The people there will tell you puppies pick it up anywhere, awfully funny that all 3 dogs had parvo and all 3 came from her store. Google this place and you'll find several comments about people buying dogs from here and they either are seriously sick or have died shortly after purchase. My wife and I bought a Chesapeake Bay Retriever from Middle Earth Pet Shop just before Christmas 2012 on 12/22. This puppy was 7 weeks old when we got him. We had him less than a week when he got sick and had to be taken to the vet. He stayed over 2 nights at the vet's office due to a bacterial infection. He was dehydrated and had to have fluids given to him through iv. The vet told us that he was going downhill very fast and was barely making it. We paid $300 for Samson and another $304 for the vet bill. We called Middle Earth Pet Shop several times and nobody ever wants to answer the phone. We had to call the owner Karen through a number for some other business she owns called Tumble-N-Tots just to get a hold of her. She was very disrespectful to my wife over the phone. One of her employees, I think her name is Brittany is extremely rude as we went to the store with the vet cost and to make aware of an Arkansas State Law, which is a puppy lemon law. Brittany laughed at us,no concern. read more

After careful research, investigation and my own personal experience, I have found many deaths of diseased puppies purchased than anything else. This store does not require breeders to show proof of vet visit and health before allowing the puppies on the premises with other puppies. They sell the puppies at registered prices but the puppies do not have registered papers and you do not know if the puppy is the breed they tell you. They come with a guarantee in little fine print that states they take no responsibility if the puppy should become sick after purchase. The problem with this is you have to prove the puppy was infected prior to leaving the store through a vet visit that you pay on your own. I had purchased a puppy for $350 and in the end, I paid $700 for vet bills and such. If you have lost a puppy as I have and have had difficulty with the store, please look up Arkansas Code 4 - 85 through 4 - 115 and I am sorry for you loss. read more
