Going to be a new favorite place for me for sure! The chicken schwarma bowl was super filling. Full of ingredients and such a crazy portion. Employees were nice, order didn't take long at all to make, and the interior was nice and clean.

Stopped here for this location's grand opening where they were running a $5 chicken shawarma bowl deal all day! I thought the bowl was super tasty and a really great amount of food. I had enough for 2 day's worth of lunches! The place was packed of course with a line out the door and around the building but service was still super fast so I imagine wait times will be breezy on a regular day. Service was so friendly and everyone seemed super grateful for the business.

Good food, friendly staff plenty of food. The men's bathroom door is locked. I had a woman's bathroom. The woman's bathroom is disgusting. Good parking

I had high expectations for this place given the constant foot traffic and that it's part of a chain. I ordered the Trifecta Bowl with both hummus and garlic sauce but the experience was disappointing. The shrimp was coated in excessive black pepper which was the only seasoning they used. Middle Eastern food is known for bold, layered flavors and this missed the mark entirely. The chicken and beef weren't anything special either. I dug into the rice hoping it would redeem the bowl but it was bland. The hummus and garlic sauce were underwhelming and the spicy sauce wasn't spicy at all. On top of that the bowl was drenched in sauce which made it difficult to eat and amplified the unpleasant flavors. Usually, if a dish isn't great, a good sauce can pull it together, but that definitely wasn't the case here. Even the toppings fell flat. They're supposed to add texture, freshness or acidity like the brightness from pickles or the crunch from vegetables but none of that came through. Maybe I'm picky but I'm Middle Eastern so I know how this cuisine should taste. This just wasn't it. To make matters worse the place was noticeably dirty. There were grease stains around the tissue dispenser and the soda machine area was also messy. I was one of the first customers of the day so there was no reason the establishment should have looked that way.

Got carry out from here a few times, and wasn't impressed with the chicken at all. Thought I would stop in and try a steak bowl to give them another chance. The steak was way too seasoned and not tender. I was very disappointed to see all of the water that ended up at the bottom of my bowl and basically ruined my lunch. The garlic sauce was good, but the dillio sauce ruined my bowl. The hommous was the worst I've ever had. This location has limited seating inside, and although they were very busy today, they worked very quickly to get everyone's food prepared. I commend the staff for an excellent job, but I am just not crazy about their food.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and it wasn't too crowded. We ordered and sat down to wait. The food was ready pretty quickly. I ordered the vegetarian wrap and it was very good! There was a lot of the dill sauce, so it was a bit messy, but very tasty. My husband ordered the falafels and he enjoyed them. We shared the shawarma fries and they were very good! The fries were hot and crispy even with all of the toppings. The prices were also decent. Overall we had a great experience and we will be back to try some of their other options.

2025-05-03. Middle Eats Macomb. Grand opening. Self ordering kioks.

2025-05-03. Middle Eats Macomb. Today was their official Grand Opening celebration and Middle Eats Macomb is offering $5 Chicken Shawarma Bowls all day long. This is Middle Eats 6th location in the SE MI area with the others located in Detroit, Bloomfield Hills, Lansing, Southfield, and Warren. I'd classify Middle Eats as a fast-casual restaurant. You place your order at the counter or on the self serve kiosks and seat yourself. They'll call your order number when it's ready. Drinks are self served if you purchase a cup, and the soda dispensers are located at the back of the dining room area. Channel 955 was hired for the Grand Opening promotion and they had their own live DJ was pumping out the tunes to the crowd that was wrapped around the to the backside of the restaurant. This was at 3:30 in the afternoon! With all the restaurants opening up on the M-59 corridor in recent years (Chick-Fil-A, Portillo's, Jollybee's, Crumble, Houston TX Hot Chicken, Panda Express, Shake Shack, Mission BBQ, Kimchi Box, Smokey Bones, K-Pot, Poke Fish, Hook & Reel Cajun, etc.) joining the ranks of long time establishments (Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, Ichiban Steakhouse, Carrabba's, Osaka Japanese Steakhouse, Panera Bread, Sahara Mediterranean Grill, Five Guys, Red Robin, Lebanese Grill, Boston's, Bubba's, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, etc.) Hall Rd. is quickly becoming "Restaurant Alley" (hmmm, wonder if that'll catch on and stick...) One of the good things I noticed about Middle Eats is their hours. The Macomb location is open late! 23:00 M-R, Midnight F-S, and 20:00 on Sundays. The Macomb location was formerly occupied by Potbelly's and then replaced by a Super Chix. There is plenty of free parking in this small plaza located across the street from Partridge Creek. Like everyone else, I came to help celebrate their grand opening and try their Chicken Shawarma Bowl for $5 (reg $12.99). The bowls come standard with a rice base, then topped with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped onions, and sliced pickles. It also comes with your choice of either hummus or Toum (the yummy whipped garlic.) In addition, you also get sauce which they call "Dillo" and it comes in both spicy and non. Lastly, the bowls come with your choice of protein; chicken, steak, shrimp, or falafel (chick peas). Of course, the bowls are customizable, so you can remove any of those things you don't like. The Chicken Shawarma bowl is a good sized portion and enough to share, or for a growing teen. I ordered mine without lettuce because I never like it mixed in with hot foods. I love lettuce wraps, but I'm not a fan of lettuce with a hot dish. The pictures of the dishes shows the bowls in sort of a deconstructed way with each topping in it's own little space. The food comes out very similar with the exception of the chicken shawarma blanketing everything vs just sitting in the center. The rice was a disappointing, but then again, I'm a hard sell as I make my own. Nothing fancy, just long grain Basmati cooked with chicken broth, onions, salt, turmeric, EVOO, and butter. Garnishes can include almonds, pine nuts, fried raisins, and parsley or cilantro. The rice was short grain but it did have turmeric to give it that nice golden hue. Even if you're from the Middle East, flavor profiles differ depending on where you're from. But one things for sure, and that is the chicken shawarma is all about the spice rub used. What I've noticed to be common is the use of Cumin, turmeric, coriander, cayenne, and garlic. Personally I prefer the flavors of the North over the South, so I tend to use things like Sumac over cloves, and allspice over cardamom. The Chicken Shawarma was moist and tender, and it also had that char from finishing it in the grill (FDA requires that even if cooked on a spit, the shaved shawarma requires to be finished off on the grill to ensure the meat is fully cooked to at least 165°F internally.) They don't serve Tahini which traditionally goes with Shawarma, but just as good as I'm not a big fan of Tahini (I find the sesame based condiment too dry.) I also ordered the Dubai Cheesecake for dessert. This is just Dubai Chocolate over plain Cheesecake. The Dubai Chocolate (which I also make myself) was just ok; not as creamy as I hoped, but passible. The cheesecake on the other hand shocked me. It looked like cheesecake, but certainly didn't have the texture of cheesecake. It was much softer and carried a strong egg flavor which overpowered the cream cheese. Now that I think about it, it's as if it were more of a "custard cheesecake". Either case, I'm not a fan... Overall, I'm glad Middle Eats is part of Restaurant Alley. There was an open spot for a fast-casual Middle Eastern restaurant, and Middle Eats fills it nicely. The prices are competitive and the portions match the price. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. If You would like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company... Bon Appétit!

Decided to give this place a try since all my coworkers and patients even talked about this place and I think it's gonna be my boyfriend and I's new favorite spot to go. It was beyond amazing and the portions are insanely huge for the price. I ordered it online and it was done in less than 5 minutes. The place is so modern and beautiful inside also. Finally a good spot for lunch

First time trying this place, the ambiance was spacious and clean, the service was quick & friendly, and this chicken shawarma wrap is definitely one of the best I ever had. Literally so delicious and also filling. I didn't take a pic of the fries but they were also so amazing, fresh. I got cajun seasoning added to the fries but they had other fry seasonings too. 10/10 for-sure.

The beef is nothing special and there were some pieces that were not quite chewable however it was still tasty. Lots of good vege including onion and cucumber. Everyone enjoyed their food and the food sizing were perfect especially with the pricing (average pricing for bar food). What i did notice was my friend order a side salad for additional $1.99 but her friend ordered a salad as meal which cost about $15.00 - i would say they looked like the same size; so be aware. Plenty of parking! If i had to go back i'll definitely would but the distance from my house i wouldn't go out my way. There are ALOT of TVs with music videos and sports; you can barely hear the music playing which is good i guess especially since you want to be able to touch to your friends. Happy Eating!
