This space is so cute and new looking with a full bar. We were the first people in the door, and were greeted warmly and seated right away. They seemed to be busy getting carryout orders out, so that's a good sign. We didn't order drinks this time, but it's nice to have a Mediterranean spot with the option. Mom had the shawarma bowl and I had the Greek salad with chicken - our bill was like $28. Very inexpensive and a decent portion size. Not very often do I see a Mediterranean restaurant with a bar. This place is quite the hole in the wall (doesn't look like much on the outside, but is nice and spacious inside). I've had a salad from here to go and a chicken shawarma, both being very good. One thing about their chicken shawarma I found interesting was that it was ground/chopped instead of strips of chicken, but I really liked it. The sandwich was big, but not super dense or heavy. Definitely recommend if you work nearby and need a satisfying lunch. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE!! We have been coming to this place for years. We have tried other similar places but always go back to this one. Food is not only good but plenty of it. I get the same meal every single time, chicken shawarma bowl, substitute salad with tabbouleh salad with feta (if I don't have feta at home). YUM! It usually lasts me a couple meals. My boyfriend and I stopped in last night for a quick bite to eat. You can dine in or carry out. They expanded the restaurant and opened up a dinning room within the last few years. We were quickly greeted by Joe, who also took our order. I ordered 'The Boss' which is a pita melt with chicken, ham, bacon, cheese, onions, BBQ and honey Dijon sauce. So good! We also ordered hummus and pita bread. Pretty big portion for $4.99! We got a carry out and even were asked if we wanted to sit down and have a couple glasses of water while we wait. Top notch service. Menu is very detailed on the walls and staff can easily answer any and all of your questions. Typical prices for a sandwich type shop. Couldn't decide so I ordered the pressed schwarma and the Chicken Ranchero melt. They were both wonderful but I think I actually preferred the Chicken Ranchero. The pressed schwarma was very good, but I prefer the schwarma melt opposed to the pressed. I guess I just preferred he melts. The anti pasta was very good. You can get a side of pita and make little Italian pita wraps, haha. Best of all worlds. I'll be going back; haven't tried the entire menu yet, haha. Everything has been great! read more

Terrible service will definitely not be back. I placed a carry out order. I received a message stating that my order was ready and when I got to the restaurant I was told that I did not have an order under my name. When I show the manager the message that I had received and stated that I even received confirmation for my order she stated she thought it was a prank. My order was a chicken Shawarma sandwich and a falafel sandwich. Where was the prank?! I was so confused and was wondering why on earth she would think my order was a prank when I also received confirmation stating that my order was ready to pick up. I was very upset and left. I have only ever had chicken schwarma from here so I have nothing to compare it to but boy is it delicious! It was very flavorful and the chicken was not dry which is easy to do when you have small pieces of chicken. I also ordered the hummus. Good flavor overall and the pita was warm. The restaurant was easily missed (I had to turn around) the largest words on the sign are BAR AND GRILL then Mediterranean, not Pita Peddler. There is limited seating meaning I don't think it would hold multiple large groups. It was clean. Staff was just ok mediocre at best. Food was great! Will return! read more

I am visiting the area and searched for some vegan friendly places. I ordered a veggie pita and the lentil soup. I asked for no cheese on the pita. I had the soup first and it was great. The pita was also delicious, but it still had cheese. Everyone was very friendly here, there was some construction going on, the lady said they were getting their liquor license and that explained the construction. I was very happy with their gyro, but the falafel was the driest I have ever experienced. I about choked-- it was drier than sawdust. I will stick to other parts of the menu, henceforth. If you want real Mediterranean keep on driving. I'm not sure where the rave reviews are coming from but this place is not good. The Toum ( garlic sauce ) is too mild, the fattoush salad has little to no sumac spice, the Shish Tawook is just a normal chicken kabob you would get at your local Coney Island and the vegetables are not grilled but sautéed in a pool of oil ( peppers and onions ). Also watch for numerous up charges that they don't tell you about when ordering. Don't like to give a bad review in these times but keep on driving to Sahara down the street where the food is fantabulous! read more

This is a fantastic place for lunch or dinner! Menu has a ton of options. For those who haven't been here recently they have a nice new bar and serve beer and wine! I recommend the boss on ciabatta with no onions it is always excellent. My wife loves their salads. Don't forget a side of hummus with some crunchers. This place is probably my favorite. I recommend the chicken shawarma pita (it has a great tang to it), lentil soup, and stuffed grape leaves (awesome flavor on its own--I skip the yogurt). The food here is great, but the owners are terrible they take tips from their waitresses and they don't want to pay the people in training and it's just it's a terrible way to run a business it's not right. A college girl I know went to work there and they told her she doesn't get tips until she memorizes the menu so she memorized them when you came in the next day they tested her she got the answers right and they still wouldn't give her tips or an hourly wage. read more

The Pita Peddler sign is small, but "Mediterranean" is large. The food is plentiful and flavorful. The bread is hot and delicious. I have eaten take out and order in.
