We reserved Bonfire No. 7 for a perfect fall night for four hours. Three Cedars Farm is definitely an attraction in Northville complete with bonfires, hayrides, a corn maze, and of course apple cider and donuts! The bonfire was a great spot to hang out, put up a tent, grill some burgers and hot dogs and make s'mores. The staff periodically would come by on a cart to drop off more wood. The hayride was a nice short ride from the front of the farm to the back of the farm where the corn maze is located. Tip: I recommend that you bring flashlights and/or lanterns for when the sun goes down to enjoy your bonfire area. There is no light in the corn maze and you will resort to using the flashlight on your phone to try to find the Christmas tree stations in the maze. Don't forget to keep track on the corn maze postcards to turn in at the Donut Hut to be entered into a drawing. The only drawback are teenagers hiding in the corn maze jumping out at people in the dark. I hope no one gets hurt and this continues to be a place for adults and children alike. Also note the Donut Hut closes at 8pm although we were at the bonfire until 10pm. So get your share of cider and donuts early. I think the value of experiencing fresh donuts with hot apple cider sitting around the bonfire was perfect and worth every penny. I would like to go back next fall. Their current attraction is The Country Store complete with photos with Mr. & Mrs. Clause in Santaland for a limited time.

Being here during the week was a blessing, as I could observe the almost Disney like nature of the farm. It's like a smaller version of Canterbury Village lol. While the service was very good, their apple cider is probably the worst I've ever tried. Too much like apple juice, lacking in flavor. However, their caramel apple? 20/10 legit the best caramel apple I've every tried, so fresh! They don't try to thwart the bees in the cute seating area, so I had to melt in my car to finish the apple. I'm surprised having lived in Canton for many years I never heard of Three Cedars, and now I am not surprised at all. If you do find yourself here, get a caramel apple!

There are parking attendants with huge candy canes to help direct cars and take carts back. Once you park, it's a short walk to a table with greeters that hand out saws to cut your tree down. This is by far the best tree farm we've visited. Last year, we went to about 4 and although it's the farthest, it's honestly the best. Not all trees are tagged so you may have to walk through a few aisles to find one that you like. They have a donut food truck that sells mini donuts, with choice of toppings, powdered/ plain/ cinnamon sugar, hot chocolate, hot cider and even cider slush. Just past the entrance, they have a couple of portable potties if nature calls. When it gets really busy, it can be hard to find a wheel barrel for your tree, so it might be a good idea to bring a tarp so you can drag your tree or you can carry it if it's not too big. Once you get your tree, you get in a line to get the leaves, loose needles shaken out and then wrapped. Pretty an easy process... the only thing is the time it takes to find a tree and waiting for your tree to get processed. The price can be pretty pricey. The cheapest tree we saw was for about $70 and can go up to over $130. I would be happy with a costco tree, but the experience of cutting down a tree is pretty fun (plus the delicious donuts). We've brought our dog once and noticed there were a lot of pups along for the adventure.

They have three types of trees: Fraser fir, Korean fir, Concolor fir, and a great selection! We walked around and scouted out many great trees before sawing our tree down, throwing it into our cart and taking it up front for a good shake (to remove dead, orange needles) and to be wrapped for the car ride home. There were about 10 families ahead of us and I'm sure we didn't wait more than 10-15mins! On our way out we stopped by the donut stand for a bag of fresh mini-donuts and REGRETTED NOTHING!!! I'm pretty sure I ate five by the time I got home, and told my husband I can't wait for next year!! I'm so glad we found a great place to become our new family tree-selecting farm, and that they're family owned and good steward of the land!!

This tree farm has it all, and zero lines when we went on a Saturday. I'm so pleased I almost don't want to tell anyone because it's so amazing. But they deserve crowds. Gorgeous, symmetrical trees that are healthy, kept trimmed and thriving. They're reasonably-priced (literally half the cost of what we found in the Woodward co as pre cut trees in the metro Detroit area). Their rows are all orderly, well maintained, with mowed grass in between. Their barn is so cozy and beautiful. It's a perfect mix of new and modern with rustic. We felt like it was out of a catalogue. Their items inside ranged from popcorn and candied nuts to handmade hot chocolate bombs, beautifully knit hats, tees and sweatshirts of the tree farm's logo, beautiful tree trunk/bark ornaments hand-cut with messages or designs such as the 2022 year, a snowflake, Merry Christmas, Let It Snow, etc. it all felt really special and beautiful. We had the best time. They have excellent service from the tree cutting and wrapping process to the indoor barn portion, and it's very personal and feels like great vibes. Oh, they also have the most picture perfect photo backdrop, with a sleigh, decorated Christmas trees, lights, and a little sign "2022" for your family photos. WOW!!! They just exceeded expectations in every single way.

When we heard it was sadly closing down at the end of the year, we made a special trip just to stop in here. It's a beautiful store with more than just gardening supplies. We picked up some toys for our cats as well as some Christmas ornaments and postcards as memorabilia. And I especially love how despite Luis the store cat passing away over 10 years ago, you can still find lots of references to him around the store. Really wish there was a way to save this place. :(

No matter the time of year I love visiting Downtown Home & Garden. My previous review stated, "I love any store where I can get tulip bulbs, a new bird house, a winter hat shaped like a Christmas tree, a new cookie sheet and a loaf of Zingerman's bread" and all that still rings true. But these days I also add national parks merch, gear for my dogs, holiday decor, kitchen gadgets and cookbooks and, perhaps most exciting for a Polish broad like myself, a variety of Polish pottery pieces. In the spring and summer months I can be found perusing peony bulbs for my garden, hummingbird feeders, bird seed and squirrel proof bird feeders, planters, plants/starters for my veggie garden, pest control and fertilizers, plus a variety of lawn decor and sculpture pieces, etc. Some things can be kind of pricey but you truly get what you pay for. Even after years out in the elements everything I've bought for my yard here is still in amazing condition, my plants from here always yield the most delicious fruits and veggies, and the little birdies are so happy with the snacks we provide them from their bins.
