I went back to him every 2 to 3 months for that year explaining to him that I was diligent with my physical therapy and taking the medication he told me to take, and yet the hip wasn't getting any better. But He continued to insist it was ongoing inflammation for over a year. Since he wasn't willing to consider what else it might be or offer any other solutions to help me, I went out and got a second opinion. So I saw another surgeon, and after he operated on me, he determined that I had extensive scarring inside my hip binding the hip flexor muscles to the hip capsule. After he removed all the scar tissue from my hip, it was much better and pain free. Dr. Wolff refused to consider that anything else may be going on, and so he wasn't able to help me. While a nice man, I found that he was rushed during our appointments and he wasn't always in the moment. So I don't feel he was always listening to what I had to say. Regardless, him continuing to insist my pain was due to inflammation for an entire year wasn't really him thinking about what else the problem might be or to consider other solutions.

It was even more so during my first appointment, especially with regard to the steps taken to ensure BOTH the safety of patient and staff during Covid. As for my time with Dr. Bidgoli, "impressive" is the best descriptor that I can offer. Her consultation was clearly rooted in the best interest of me, the patient. I put off getting the root canal done until I could no longer take the pain. Upon entering Dr. Pichardo's office I was impressed. The professional décor was nice. The staff that greeted me were equally as nice. The office atmosphere was both calm and relaxing. When it was my time to see Dr. Pichardo, I explained my anxiety about getting the procedure done. They reassured me that everything would be fine - and they were right! The procedure did not take long at all, and best of all I felt no pain. No pain during or even after the work was done. I was surprised how easy it was. I can't believe I waited so long to get it done. All the pain I could have avoided if I just made the appointment sooner. Dr Pichardo's office called me the next day to see how I was doing. I told them great! I had not experienced any pain, even when the numbness wore off. Regardless of how busy she is, never fails to greet you cheerfully, checks to see how you are feeling and listens to any specific issues and works on them. She provided tips for homework and very easy finish instructions for exercises. Also no matter how busy she watches each of her patients and makes sure exercises are being done properly and heat and ice are provided. And never fails to say goodbye . I definitely leave better than when I arrive I can definitely recommend this facility and Brita in particular. Located in Reston off of Fox Mill. Very convenient parking. As an avid skier I met another skier rehabbing and he was able to provide some information on knee/ankle friendly slopes in Montana. Rachel has been absolutely fantastic to work with over the years, twice post-surgical and once pre-surgical. She encourages me to exercise and improve, showing small tricks to squeak out the last little bit of flexibility. Every degree of movement gets me closer to "normal" and it does take hard work to get there. Also, I don't know much about my musculoskeletal systems and she is happy to answer questions. Like all PT locations they are busy in the AM and may have multiple patients and balance the session between exercise, PT manual manipulation, and stim therapy. I believe all their therapists have their Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While recovery is painful, she finishes off with ice and stim which really helps with the post-PT pain since I try to avoid pain medications. There have been 1 or 2 times that I declined because of work or a meeting but can say that the ice coupled with the stim really makes a difference. My previous PT at Inova and at Herndon Family Medicine did not couple the ice with the stim.
