This is actually my first review I have ever written and the reason I'm doing so is to let people know I had the best experience bring my truck into Bill Williams Tire store. While I came into the store to look for new tires, I also found out they do brakes and oil changes, which I needed as well (or at least thought I did). While being helped by a friendly (as I have found most people in Midland to be) and knowledge counter person, I learned I could get a free Brake Inspection. Long story short, I was expecting them to come back to me that all my brakes needed to be replaced. However, I was pleasantly surprised when they told me my brakes still have about half their life. By them not just charging me hundreds of dollars to change brakes I did not need, is huge in my book. Oh, by the way, I got 4 new BF Goodrich KO2's that I absolutely love. I flatted in the late afternoon 20 miles outside of Midland and was luckily able to nurse the car back to town. The hundreds of oilfield services trucks with onboard air were a big help (think mesquite trees) I called and they said "come-on, be here by 6" I barely made it, and they stayed late to get me back on the road. Even had to collect a tire from another shop. When it's an emergency they seem to get it and make an extra effort to accommodate, cheers for to the extra effort team.

The nails were in the sidewalls, so the tires needed to be replaced. These are run-flat tires, not common sizes, but the staff assured me they were ordered and would arrive by Friday so the replacements could be installed Saturday. When I stopped by on Monday, October 13, to check on my car and pick it up, I was shocked to learn that no one had ever even created a work order for it. My car had been sitting outside in the parking lot for nearly five days untouched. The employee confirmed the tires had already been delivered and were sitting in the shop, ready to go -- but because someone failed to enter the order, nothing had been done. Even worse, no one from the store ever contacted me -- not once. The only reason I received a text at all was because I showed up in person to ask about my car. After realizing the mistake, an employee texted me later that day to create a ticket -- five days after drop-off and only after I came in and discovered the issue myself. That's not proactive communication; that's damage control. I've been a loyal Discount Tire customer for over 20 years, and this is the first time I've experienced such poor service and complete lack of accountability. I own a business myself, so I understand mistakes can happen, but this wasn't a simple error -- it was a total failure in communication and process. If I didn't have another vehicle, I would have been stranded for almost a week because no one followed up. Your customers rely on you for timely, professional service -- not to have their vehicles forgotten in the parking lot. Hopefully this was a one-off at this location, but my experience shows a serious breakdown in organization, communication, and customer care.
