Waited 20 minutes to get my tire pressure checked. Every man working looked at me and went on like I wasn't there. I even asked one of the employees to check my tire pressure and he said he'd get someone but never did. My husband was out of town, I just recently had back surgery so bending over to air up my tire is not possible right now. I had to leave town for the day. One of my tires was a little low and one was reading too high on the gauge. If you're going to ignore people that need to use the service then don't offer it. What is the point?? I had to call the store and Mia came out and helped me. Thank you Mia! None of these so called men would do it. The parking lot was almost empty. It's normally full so I know someone could have taken 2 minutes to check my tire pressure. You have a bunch of jerks that work there that don't know what chivalry is. read more

An update to my 1 star review on 10/18/25. Corporate management reached out and did their best to make things right. Even offering to give me all 4 tires for free. I said no to free tires, and that I simply wanted the warranty honored, and that's what we did. I was not pleased with the quality of the tire installation, the tires were absolutely filthy with some sort of paste all around the rims of the tires, all tires had multiple chalk circles, none of the nozzles were tightened at all, and the air pressure was way off on all 4 tires by plus or minus 5 PSI. This type of service is just the way it is after Covid it seems. It's not just Discount Tire, it's any service at any business almost. It's exhausting and disappointing but it's here to stay I guess. read more

I brought my vehicle in because one of my tires wasn't taking air. The pro's at DT were able to get me in right away. It turned out there was ice in the tire's valve stem. Well if it's could give a negative one I would but Discount tire is one of the most horrible tire shops in Midland. They are always trying to sell you a tire no matter what even when. You have a warranty you still have to pay a larger amount. They aren't helpful and even if you have an appointment you still end up waiting. Never coming here again. I came the day before a trip across the country to visit family just to make sure the tires were good to drive. Before I went in, my tire pressure was fine and so were the tires. That night, my husband noticed the light came on. We checked our tires with the gauge and the tire pressure was all over the place. 26, 28, 31, and 33. Plus they didn't recalibrate the tpms calibration. We were leaving at 5 am so my husband filled the tires up with air at a gas station, and then I had to make a stop while traveling alone in a different town to check the tires at a discount. read more

They have water and coffee while you wait. They are always busy. Come early. Or call and make an appointment. But they are fast. This place is always packed like if they are giving stuff away. I had my tires done again here. Twice in a little over a year. Yes I drive that much. And If you are reading this you might also. I do recommend you make an appointment. They are really fast and they have great service. There is always someone in the office and the guys in the shop are real professionals. I had a set done in the early part of summer and the end of winter. They have the best prices and they usually have the tires you need on hand. Not like other places where it takes a week. They can have specialty tires ordered and there within 48 hours. Like mine. You will not be disappointed here. And your car or truck will thank you. read more

My wife's car had a mail the right rear tire, hopefully that's fixed. I asked Dillion if he checked all tires for nails and correct air pressure. He did not had to make another trip to discount to get proper air pressure. I drove around before I returned to reset tires. Administrative help great, courteous. I had a tire that was very low pressure and I wanted to get the tire checked out and fixed prior to a trip my boyfriend and I had that weekend. When we went in to request service, the gentleman at the kiosk and my boyfriend went out to take a look at the tire that was low. The problem was on the DRIVER'S REAR TIRE and we were told the tire had to be replaced due to the tire being 2/10 tread. I understood that the tire was irreplaceable due to the low tread. The service was completed, my boyfriend checked with the tech and made sure we were good to go. When he got in the car the low tire pressure sensor was still on. When my boyfriend asked if they had reset the sensor and made sure the pressure on the tires were good, the service tech told him yes the sensor should shut off soon. On Friday September 15, we noticed that the tire low pressure signal was still on. Come Saturday, the day of our trip, we noticed that the serviced tire was almost flat. THEY SERVICED AND CHARGED ME TO REPLACE THE WRONG TIRE. They charged me to replace a tire that had been paid for and replaced back in MAY 2017. Let me reiterate that, They replaced a BRAND NEW TIRE (PASSENGER REAR) THAT HAD ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR. When the tire was taken back to be replaced. The tech blamed my boyfriend saying that my boyfriend had told them that it was the passenger's rear versus the driver's rear. Pointing fingers was not appropriate in the first place, but the gentleman at the kiosk who was putting the service order in on the day of the service was the one naming off all the stats of tires and made the error in putting in the tire, obviously. Another point to be mentioned that threw me for a loop was when I asked the gentleman what the tread of the other tires were. He told me that my tires were up at 8/10 on the two FRONT tires and 9/10 on the PASSENGER REAR tire. My boyfriend and I were slightly confused that an ALL WHEEL DRIVE vehicle (Subaru Outback) would have a tire that was that low on tread and all the other tires were in pretty damn good condition. When the gentleman proceeded to tell me that two years ago, when I initially purchased the tires from discount tires, they only replaced three of the tires. I had requested ALL be changed during that service two years ago to ensure they were all the same due to how far I travel to see my family. They live over 900 miles away. I wanted all four to be the exact same so I had an at ease mind. Upon picking up my vehicle, the tech told me all four had been replaced and that I was set with my warranty and brand new tires. Not only had my request been ignored, but I was lied to about the condition of my tires. I was under the impression I paid for four tires to be replaced and changed when in reality only three were changed. I do not and would not refer Discount Tire off the Loop to any of my friends or family. read more

Amazing! I got there just before opening a there were at least 10 guys waiting. I almost left -figuring it was impossible to get my tire fixed. I waited a few minutes and then was greeted by a very friendly guy. short story---my tire was unfixable but under warranty! In about one and half hours I was on my way! This place is unbelievable! I walked in a couple minutes after they opened on a Friday morning to a long line full of people. I thought,"this is gonna take forever!" And then I saw a guy - think his babe was Bryce- with a very warm smile on his way out with another customer say "we"ll be right with you thanks for your patience!"-and they really were! I was up to the counter in less than 5 minutes & had my truck ready in less than 2 hours. This is one of the best run stores I have ever seen ( and I am a former manager) with the BEST customer service to match, which is representative of a good company with great manager. Huge shout out to OSCAR who helped us with new tires for one car and then suggested he look at the TPMS of our other car, when we mentioned a problem--even though it was after hours. He very well could have saved our lives when he discovered that one tire exceeded the max pressure by double! We were about to take a long trip on hot Texas highways. It's hard to give them even a two when you are forced to stand for at least 30 to 45 minutes every time you walk in the door. Do they even have one clerk reserved to hand you your keys when you come back to get your car? No. You get to stand in line for 30 to 45 minutes again just to get the keys. The guys are courteous and they try to help but Discount Tire needs to step up and hire some more people. The aggravating waits destroy the whole deal. They have always done a good job but it is the waiting that just kills their place. I would rather go anywhere else with my business. If I ran my business like that I would be closed tomorrow. read more

What happened to my wonderful discount tire company? This place used to be awesome. I had a tire shred to pieces yesterday while driving to Andrews...unfortunately it was my spare tire. The fourth tire that was supposed to be on my truck was in the bed because it had been stabbed 9 months before in the parking lot at work ... in the sidewall. Anyway, I told Rene, the discount tire service rep I need the stabbed tire replaced and one other new tire. I asked to put the two new tires on the truck and use which ever of the three good tires that was least good as the spare. When we got inside to ring me up I asked him to repeat the plan to me to make sure we were on the same page. He ultimately said we'll replace the two damaged tires and you'll bee ready to go. His plan was to put the two new tires on the rear and take the damaged rear tire that had been stabbed to use as the spare. What!!?? I told him he wasn't listening to me. I didn't want the stabbed tire to survive this change out. It is t safe to repair a sidewall puncture and I don't want to risk a tire coming apart at 75mph again. I asked the two new tires go on back as planned, but throw out the stabbed tire and take the least best of the remaining ones to be the spare. That way I'm driving on the four best tires. He looked at me like I was totally insane and didn't know what I was talking about. Then said ok. To boot, all the sudden my debit card can't run as a credit card and I have to manually enter the card number, expiration date, and cvs number to get it to go. What??!! Terrible customer service by Rene this morning. And shame on discount tire for not training him well. I'm not ready to give up on this business as they have been awesome for the 15 years I've been using them. But come on Rene, at least try to be helpful. read more

There's been times when they've just been able to do a simple patch on my tires and others where I've needed a new one. Super swamped store. Substandard customer service, partly because they are so swamped and partly the staff seems to be lacking customer service skill set. I asked for a balance and rotation and was told that they would rotate the tires but that balance should be good. I've put 10,000 miles on the tires. He just didn't want the added labor time. I took my car in at 5 pm this past Fri and was helped by Adrian(I think that was his name) assistant manager. I had a slow leak in one of my tires. I've been in to this location several times and I know that I always sign on their keypad allowing them to work on my vehicle and when their done I get printed receipt of what was done. Ok so I didn't sign and when I asked if he was going out to check my tire, he said he would but not right now. I said I want to go out with you when you do so then all of a sudden he was ready. He said it was going to be 3-4 hr wait. I said I would wait. An hour later, I leave to go eat but there was nobody around to let know. I figured they have my number so they will call when their done. Nope, no call or text. I drive by at 7:45pm and their closed and I see my car in the back of the building. Had my sister drive me home, which she had a spare key to my apartment, to get the spare keys to my car and drive me back to my car. I was mad. Next morning talked to the same guy and said no call, no text, where are my keys. He finds my keys, no receipt of what they did, just told me they patched the leak. He said you left without telling anyone, and I said when I left there was no one around, trying to turn this on me like it was my fault. He did apologize for not letting me know but the whole process wasn't a good one. read more

victor and michael told me the rims i ordered wont fit on my car at all, said theyd jack it up and show me even though i did that myself at home so i know they were proper fit. but they were 100% certain the wouldnt. i took my car to odessa discount tire and went right in, installed with no problem. when i told them what i was told in midland, they assured me that was a line of crap. clearly 2 guys that have no idea what theyre talking about when it comes to mounting rims.
