Located this company through an internet search and we cannot stop singing the praises of the services we received. Spoke with John about doing a pickup in Highland and delivering the car to the Indianapolis metro area. We thought it would be a problem but John made it seem as though it was not a big deal which completely put our mind at ease. The price quoted was reasonable and when all was said and done - there were no hidden fees or extra expenses that came up once the car was delivered. Mike did the pick up and delivery of the car and we could not have been more pleased with his professionalism, attention to detail and positive attitude. He gave us the impression that he truly enjoys doing his job and from what we saw he is VERY good at doing it!!! He made sure the car was properly stored in the container. Midnight Blue Towing is a treasure and we enthusiastically recommend them to anyone who needs a tow (whether it is long distance like we had or local) they go out of their way to be accommodating and their response time exceeds expectations. So glad my internet search turned up Midnight Blue Towing because what started off being a nightmare for us (since the car needed a new engine and could not be driven to our new location) ended up being a very pleasant experience which is directly attributed to this company. Please do not ever call this company or have your insurance company call them. After towing our car on a flatbed, they bent both rear trailing arms. The dealership sent videos and photos. I called Midnight Blue numerous times because the cost of the repair was $3900. Midnight Blue wanted to repair it, but they have nothing showing anywhere they are a repair shop and would never give me a quote for their repair and we HAD to fix it because it was not drivable and the transmission was getting fixed at the dealer. I am NOT giving my car back to someone who put that much damage to it!! So I got a hold of the Attorney General and they responde to them with LIES!! They paid $2000 to the dealership, but I am out $1700 (after dealer gave a discount) because MIDNIGHT BLUE ruined my car!! These people have a great scam going... break them and fix them or steal from people!! read more

We had a spring break on our boat trailer. We got the run around from many towing companies in Illinois, where the incident occurred. We finally called our home town company. Lo and behold, they dispatched a driver immediately! And for an extremely fair price! The driver Santi was professional, courteous, and took excellent care of our boat and trailer. John who answered the phone was very nice and helpful! After 6 hours of sitting on the side of an extremely busy highway, we called and got the best! We should have done it in the first place! My car was stuck in the snow coming home from work at around 9 pm. When I called, the man who answered the phone was very rude and spent a good 3 minutes lecturing me about how I shouldn't even be out in this weather. Then he asked what kind of car I had and when I told him I had a fusion, he then told me I should have taken something bigger out. He was extremely condescending, wouldn't quote me a price on the phone, not even ballpark, and was clearly agitated that I needed help from his 24/7 business. I will not be using this service again. My son's truck broke down last week in our neighborhood and he called Midnight Blue Towing to pick it up and take it to a shop in Merrillville. 2 hours later it was still sitting. When I called to check on it a nice woman was trying to help me and an angry man in the background was screaming and yelling that we never called to tell them where the key was. That poor woman remained calm while going back and forth from me to the angry yelling man. My son called and spoke to a man in the office immediately after the initial call stating that the keys were in the ignition - but apparently the message was not relayed or they just plain forgot. So the truck gets picked up and towed to the shop late that night. The next morning the man at the shop calls to let us know that there is damage to the rear of the truck that was not there before. The taillight is busted, the bumper is dented and the tailgate is dented so badly that it won't even open. He reviewed the camera footage and found the tow truck driver inspecting the damage on the rear of the vehicle for a good 5 minutes before he leaves. Obviously we do not have physical proof, but we are 100% certain that that tow truck driver backed the truck into something. The owners of this company are beyond rude and unprofessional, they take that to another level. DO NOT USE MIDNIGHT BLUE TOWING. read more

I was very impressed with their customer service. I called because my car would not start. They were very friendly and quoted me for the tow. In my experience, Midnight Blue is CHEAP compared to other companies that i have used. I was very impressed by the quote. They made an appointment for me for the next day as I had requested. Fifteen minutes before the scheduled arrival i tried to start my car just one more time. It started. I called and explained what happened and felt bad to cancel but also cancel on such short notice. The man on the phone was so polite and didn't make me feel worse, he assured me that it was ok and they were there for us if we ever needed their services in the future. read more

This company has recently been put on Rotation for Portage Police Dept. They charged for a Private Tow and then Charged 175.00 to tow from Camelot Manor to the Ridge and Wisconsin St. When I called the Midnight Tow office the owner proceeded to tell me it was like 75.00...Yet his employee charged 175.00. When called back again the owner stated it was an impound...Well if anyone knows an impound is taken to the yard. This is company who has no morals or scruples. My tire flew off my car during rush hour on I65. I got off to the side fairly easily since we were about to exit to get a coffee. Luckily no one was hurt. (I'm still trying to figure that one out?!) I called 911 and they sent me a driver from this company. He was there in no time at all. He pointed out that the remaining front tire had only 2 of the 5 lug nuts on it. I just had the brakes done and a some mechanic evidently did not do his job properly (that is another review). He was a very calming effect and got us to the tire place in no time at all. Great service! I have to say this is the first time I had to use a tow for my car and I was in Indiana and had to get back to Illinois. This was the only company that would take me. They came when they said they would, (less than an hour! ) Jim was my tow guy and he was great he made me feel comfortable great with conversation. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever encountered. "John" was sexist, condescending and rude. The driver intentionally lifted the flat bed while pulling the car off so it would crack my son's rear bumper cover and tail lenses. I cannot even believe they were so unprofessional. My motorcycle broke down basically in the middle of nowhere. I called midnight blue by recommendation of my insurance company. They were there pretty quick. I was little nervous about anyone towing my baby, but the driver was very good. He put more than enough straps on it and checked them all. It was very secure. I flipped my truck and Midnight Blue was called out by the officer on the scene. They were absolutely horrible. I asked to tow it to my house, which was a lot closer than where they were located, they said no. I was given one quote, and they changed it three times in a day. They took no care in flipping my truck back over and damaged it way more than it already was! They are not professional in any way and I suggest everyone to stick clear. read more

Needed a jump in front of their shop, young man brought out a jump box and stated it would be 20 bucks if it started, ( per paul marshall ) may be the owner? took all of 5 minutes. My wife was with me, she has a pace maker and a serious lung desease (handy cap tag in window) it was 94 degrees. Now I dont mind paying for service but these folks really take advantage of people, 5 bucks for a jump would have been fair. I am going to buy nice jumping unit, if I see an elderly couple in need I will help them for free, wouldnt call minight blue on a blue moon, terrible people! read more
