I had an amazing experience on my tour of La Jolla. Julia is the BEST tour guide. She is so…read moreknowledgeable about the area. She showed me places i may have never discovered on my own. As well as taking me to places I had visited previously, but this was so much better since she is so knowledgeable about the area. She is fun to hang out with, and very friendly. Julia was amazing about taking photos for me, and asking questions about what I was interested in seeing and doing. And she listened. She gave me many suggestions about other things I might be interested in checking out while I was still in San Diego based on my answers. In fact, I had such a great experience on my private tour that I booked a group tour of San Diego the VERY NEXT DAY. This tour company has such a great assortment of experiences available, you're sure to find the perfect one for you. It's hard to say which of my tours was my favorite, as I had such a great time on both. Julia knows the area, the history of the city, the history of the military, she even taught me about the different types of palm trees and the woman responsible for the variety in the area. If you are looking for a unique experience, book a tour. I'm sure they have other great tour guides as well. But Julia delivered in a way I could not have anticipated. Highly recommend! 10/10

We've visited San Diego several times, but our visits were limited to the particular attraction we were visiting. This bike tour is a wonderful way to see so much of San Diego via bike. The location is easy to find, and parking is easy to find ( there is a huge parking structure next door). We were met by Kevin who was our guide for the tour. Awesome personality with a friendly demeanor. His knowledge of the San Diego area is impressive. He was full of fun facts about the city. The course was delightful and the bikes were easy to ride. I highly recommend this city tour and hope you get Kevin as your guide, you won't be disappointed.

We were able to kayak when we showed the confirmation email with the correct time. Rhey stated they would give us a safety briefing at the launch beach. They sent us down the street looking for the beach with kayaks past restaurants and other beaches. When we arrived at the beach, there was only one triple kayak but it was broken. They had to have another party if two return to the beach to swap for us to have their triple and finally place the party of two into a two person kayak. Then they just sent us out without instructions, safety briefing or any best directions. Our kayak's back rest broke as we were in the water. As we returned there were multiple people who had flipped over in the water. The staff had to go back to the shop to get anything to help them. Other random people in the water were trying to help the stranded people. Would not recommend this place unless you like broken equipment and useless staff.

If your 9-12 year old is used riding any bike at all, or I guess even if they aren't, then don't expect them to be stoked about the bike you rent for them. Maintenance of the bikes all across the board, not just kids, is questionable. Lots of squeaky parts. Brakes were tight but also wobbly break levers. Many of the helmets are kind of gross. Lots of the straps are sticky/oily and the straps need to be adjusted so much. Go to the other bike rental place in the same complex for a more professional operation. I will say, that it's probably cheaper than the other place. So if you're looking to save some money, there you go.

We took the Brothels, Bites and Booze tour the afternoon of Valentine's Day (after all, romance was…read morein the air, so it seemed like a good fit). This was, hands down, the best walking tour we've done, and we do these regularly around the world. We met our guide, Blerta (aka B) under the Gaslamp sign, and promptly started our tour. Our first Bites and Booze stop was at Meze Greek Fusion, were we sampled sangria and an interesting Greek quesadilla (sounds strange, yet it worked). We learned a bit about the company that owns Meze, and then continued our tour through the Gaslamp, learning a ton about its history. Our second stop was at Double J's BBQ, where we enjoyed an in-house lager and a pork belly taco. For those who "know" BBQ, and think that there's no way a BBQ joint works in CA, of all places...think again. This was damned good. We continued our tour, again learning more about the history of the Gaslamp. Let me interject here and say that Blerta was a fountain of information, delivered in a way that you can tell she loves doing these tours. Our third stop was The Field - an Irish restaurant that we've visited in the past (when one is married to an Irish woman, you can sort of expect that). It's always fun to walk through the restaurant, where the decor is over 100 years old. We tried an Irish Mule (go figure) and a Shepard's Pie. For me, the bite wasn't my thing...but then, I'm not Irish. Our last stop was a stunner - Cali Cream. I'm not a sugar person, so rarely have ice cream. But Blerta gave us the rundown on how they make the ice cream every morning, so when it was time to place my sample order, I went with Rocky Road (truly the Champaign of ice cream, IMHO). My wife with with Pistachio. The samples were HUGE, and incredibly delicious (easily the best Rocky Road I've ever had). Bottom line, GREAT way to spend an afternoon exploring the history of the Gaslamp (who knew there were so many brothels in Gaslamp in the 1800s?) The booze and bites selections were well done, Blerta was simply awesome, and we'll definitely be giving So Diego Food Tours another go. HIGHLY recommended.

Loved getting to know others sitting with us. 2nd & 3rd Place, they just filled up our glasses, dropped them off with food and left. Would have loved more of the information on the wines and for food, was it made in house? Was it served because it paired well with the wines being served? Just more information. The 3rd place had a great pasta bolognese. We left very drunk and full. Enjoyed the group with us. Would just love more info on food and wines next time. We would do this still again, had a great time.
