If you have an expensive car, avoid Midnight Window Tint. Won't stand behind their work! I paid Midnight Window Tint a approx $7700 to install premium STEK paint protection film on my brand new luxury exotic car. Owner Brett personally promised me a high-quality, seamless installation with no visible seams, in writing. What I actually received was completely unacceptable work performed by his unqualified employees. Brett does not do the installations himself -- he leaves it to staff who clearly lack the skill for premium work on exotic vehicles. The results were appalling: * Visible seams everywhere despite Brett's explicit promises of a seamless job * Severe adhesive distortion, silvering, and ugly white glue/lift lines across the car * Lifting film with trapped dirt and debris * Jagged, short, and sloppy cuts on the front bumper, headlights, and other panels * Overstretched, wrinkled, and distorted film * Missing film in multiple places * Broke my door handle when reinstalling, so I couldn't get in or out of the car. Had to have parts ordered from Germany. I escalated to STEK, the manufacturer, who referred me to a different installer. Another shop had to completely remove and redo most of the botched film at a cost of over $9,500. When I contacted owner Brett about the failures, he was defensive, uncooperative, and refused to make it right. This is not a professional operation. Brett is happy to take your money for premium work but won't stand behind it. If you value your vehicle and want actual quality, stay far away from Midnight Window Tint. Satisfied with the results of the tint job done on my '16 Mini Countryman R60. Got the front windows tinted at 25% and the rear passengers + trunk windows tinted at 5% because it's technically an SUV. No pullovers or anything, although here in WA I rarely hear of cars being pulled over for tint being too dark. It's been about a week and everything has settled fine. No markings or weird patterns appearing when I wear shades and look into the tint - sometimes places apply cheap tint that causes patterns to appear which I was trying to avoid. The tint even settles nicely on the rear defrosters and even around those tiny black dots that line the edge of my rear windows. No lifting or white spots at all. They were also considerate of the rearview camera mounted on my tailgate that they removed and reapplied correctly without damaging anything at all. Just be careful with stickers mounted inside the vehicle because I'm sure it's tough to reapply those so I recommend removing and saving them yourself before you bring your car in. The pricing was great, between $200 & $300, for quality 3M tint and fast service. I was originally told it would take 5 hours because of a full schedule, but they got it done in 3 and presented it nicely. Nice young men working there. The only downside is a personal one, my husband accidentally tipped $50 using their POS system which was a bummer. But honestly, I'm sure they deserve all of the tips they can get because their pricing is unbeatable for Seattle/West WA. read more

I had a Civic tinted by a different shop, while I enjoyed the tint, the experience was mediocre at best. I dropped the car off at 8 am and I never received a call, so I called them at 4 pm and they said that the car would be ready in the next two hours. I had a friend drop me off at 6:30 pm and the car was still not ready. I finally got my keys back at 7 pm. The tint had multiple bubbles in it, and they ended up charging me $30 more than discussed when I dropped the car off. They said that they bubbles would go away, however, they never did. The tint was covered under warranty from "future" bubbles, but those caused during the install were not covered by the warranty...seriously? I just purchased a new car and decided to try out Midnight since I read some good reviews. I couldn't be happier! The estimate was dead on accurate, the car was in and out before I even knew what had happened and the tint looks amazing! No bubbles, no smearing, no blurring, just perfect. They discussed different tint options with film and having the cut go all the way up to the top of the window. While additional options cost more, they outweighed the pro's and con's of each option and let me decide for myself. Very knowledgeable and friendly people. I highly recommend this tint shop! I brought two cars into Midnight for Tinting. One of the big things about them is that they do a LOT of Tesla cars and they know how to do them right. They were recommended to me from other Tesla owners as the place to go, and they were right. The windows look great. The ceramic coat is still smooth. And for the 2nd car (Mini SE) the PPF is doing great too. The team there knows what they do and they do it right. We came back one time when having our 2nd car taken care of and the manager came out to inspect our first car a few weeks after we had things done to see if it was all holding up. I'm visiting family here in Seattle and decided I surprise my son, I took his new 2015 Denali he just bought to get tinted. When I arrived the technicians was very nice and prompt. They started working on son's my car right away - they understood I had a time limit to get the car back. They showed me different options and had a BTU test, which made it easy for me to make a decision. When I got home, he arrived 10 minutes after and was so happy about the tint... One Happy Customer! I came to Midnight Window Tinting because I 'tried to' save money by attempting to do my own tint on my 350Z - but it came out a totally disaster. I some how got the adhesive on the film wrong and now had a hard time removing it from the windows.. it was a mess. Midnight Window Tinting saved the day! I Just had me Maserati ghibli tinted with Xpel xr plus and Xpel paint protection at the shoreline location. These guys have 4 locations so I went to the closest to my house. I live in Bothell so the drive there was around 15 mins with typical Seattle traffic. Guys are super professional and do perfect work. Paint Protection lined up perfectly and edges were wrapped. I tried to save money by tinting my windows myself using a DIY tinting kit and that turned out HORRIBLE. My windows were disastrous after that. Lesson well learnt. Called up the company in desperation to get my windows fixed and re-tinted. They did a perfect job, there was no creases or air bubbles in the tint after they completed it. Really does take some training to do it so well eh. Lesson well learned, don't bother doing it yourself unless you're really confident in your skills. read more

So needless to say, I thought I'd give it a try, especially since I got a new car.
