The stuff of dreams. Have you ever seen an instagram reel and thought no food could ever be that perfect irl? We'll let me tell you this is the place to get it. Ordering from their Wednesday released menu I count down the days till I can pick up my beauties. Pick up is easy with fast and friendly service. Parking can be tricky but once you have that memorable pink box in hand it will all be worth it. I love that they offer a balance of sweet and savory treats and use local ingredients. It's absolutely an indulgence but it's worth it. Treat yourself!

Midnite Patisserie started as a popup bakery operating out of Anna's (the owner) home. She now has her own space in a shared commercial kitchen at The Bee Side, part of Amethyst Bee Cakery. I discovered her on Instagram (@midnitepatisserie). Her pastries are some of the most professional looking and delicious treats I've had in awhile! The menu and ordering for the week goes live on Wednesdays at 9 pm, for pickup that Saturday afternoon. The menu changes every week, but there are usually tarts, croissants, financiers, and other delicious items! I don't have a huge sweet tooth, but these aren't sugar bombs which is nice. I can tell that the ingredients used are high quality and there is always an element of beauty with each of the baked goods. A recent menu included cherry financiers, blackberry matcha madeleines, raspberry & pistachio croissants, saffron & nectarine croissants, mocha brownies, and dark chocolate passion fruit tarts. The croissants in particular are like works of art and SO flaky. I'm not a baker but I know that these croissants are perfectly laminated with lots of visible layers. The flavor combinations are really unique and not ones I've found in the city before. Be sure to set an alert for Wednesday at 9 pm if you want to try these pastries - they sell out QUICK! I can't wait until tomorrow when I get to pick up my goodies! For pickup, the kitchen is located at 425 Norwood Ave SE, behind Wolfgang's. The entrance to the Bee Side Kitchen is next to GoJo Ethiopian restaurant!

Always good sweet and savory baked goods. The everything bagel croissant is amazing. Prices are very reasonable. Only downside is you have to order earlier in the week if you want access to their full menu, so no forgetting to order on Wednesday. Can't wait for it to become a full fledged bakery.

Midnight Patisserie is leveling up the pastry game in GR! They are currently awaiting their soft opening for a new store front in Eastown and I HIGHLY recommend keeping them on your radar. I'm still dreaming of their croissants I had two months ago...

Honestly, I am not a huge sandwich person, but if I heard a sandwich shop is good, I'll try it. The sandwich was cut in half and had their Michigan Turkey, bacon, avocado, and other veggies that you can read in their menu. The turkey was really delicious - like, really, REALLY delicious. It was so flavorful and soft. And the veggies like avocado, tomatoes, and lettuce tasted so fresh. I got it with sourdough bread, which was really good. It was a bit tough to put the whole sandwich in your mouth because of the crusty crusts (lol), so I just resorted to eating it with a fork and a knife (very proper). The food came out rather quickly, and the service was very sweet, friendly and down to earth. Ambience was great! Casual and friendly. There is street parking - usually, it's not too difficult to find parking around this area. But maybe I just get lucky, I don't know. If it's a good day, you can walk around and enjoy the scene with the river and park!
