Everyone we've dealt with has been polite, courteous and professional, and the premises are well maintained. Care was speedy. I write today about the exceptional technical problem handled by computer technician Lijo in working out kinks in my Excelsior Pass listing. To his credit, head P.A. Ryan directed my problem to Lijo on my last visit. Sejla swiftly put the Excelsior Pass app on my cell phone. Great team work. Shout out to Seamus who gave me test yesterday. I just got my Covid vaccine and let me tell you, they were so good I came home and immediately wrote a review. First of all they're very organized and have a lot of translators. I was really impressed that the staff knew Chinese and Spanish, even those who do not speak that language natively! I heard Myriam use basic Chinese with a woman who had language barriers and was impressed! Myriam was so kind on the phone and in person to make all the arrangements for a swift vaccination. Not only that they are incredibly nice and caring. I have serious needle phobia and the kindness from the front desk to the person who administered my vaccine, George, was seriously comforting. George claimed to be the best shot giver when I told him I was nervous and he was not wrong!! I barely felt anything and he used distraction techniques like asking questions to get my mind off of it. Honestly I couldn't have found a better place to be vaccinated. I pictured going into one of those mass vaccination sites and felt sick at the prospect. This experience was fantastic! read more

This place is right in the heart of Hell's Kitchen. I've been there several times and the staff has always been welcoming and friendly. I generally make an appointment online, and I have usually been seen on time or within a few minutes of my scheduled time. I've also been a walk-in, and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes. I've been going to MiDoctor for almost three years now. Throughout the pandemic I had to get tested for covid every other week for work and it was great having a place that was organized and quick so close to my house. I've been here on multiple other occasions when I've been sick because it's close by and they take my insurance and I've never had a bad experience. The staff and doctors are always so kind and it's always incredibly clean. Even when it's busy they work very efficiently to get everyone seen in a timely manner. Two years ago I was very sick so I went in to see about getting antibiotics and walking the few blocks in the freezing cold made it very difficult to breathe. When I arrived I could barely breathe and I tested positive for covid. They ended up sending me to the hospital in an ambulance, but they were incredibly patient and calm throughout the whole thing which was very overwhelming. Came here for covid vaccines for myself and children. I thought they were great when I came in. They were fast and gentle with the kids. I thought even more highly of them a couple of days later when the nurse called to "just check in" and make sure the kids didn't have any reactions to the shots. But then three weeks after that, I got bills for the "telemedicine" I received after the shots. I did not request the follow up call, which was under 2 minutes long, and did not think I should be billed $75 per kid for those calls. Additionally, this was at a time when the government or insurance was paying for all covid vaccines and practices could not legally charge patients for them. I guess this was their work around. It took several calls to billing but I had these charges removed. Why am I reviewing this practice 2 years later? Well, this week I received another bill for the office visit itself, from 2 years ago. Nobody answers their phone in billing or responds to their emails. Maybe the physicians are qualified and the care is good, but you may well be scammed here. Be careful. read more

I received my Moderna shots here and what a great experience! I was lucky enough to get an appointment here when there were no other availabilities in the city. The appointment took no longer than 15-20 min. Check-in was a breeze and I barely had to wait to get my shot. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses was very friendly. An absolute disgrace. From being misinformed by staff, to ignored by Statcare (the parent company's) customer service and billing departments, to not having a PCR Covid test result 17 days after the test, this clinic has failed me as a patient at each turn. A recap: Midoctor tells me at the clinic they've switched labs for their PCR tests and it will take 2-3 days for a result. 2-3 turns into 5-7, which turns into 7-10, which turns into 3-14 days for a result. Every time I reached out to them to inquire about the time/result, I get a different answer. Adding to that, their "supervisors" promise to follow up and get back to me (3 times now) to no avail. There's no way to speak to anyone in billing - nobody answers the phone, a message tells you you'll receive an email response in 24 hours, and after 7 days, I have received no response. This ordeal forced me to have to seek care at another clinic (waited an hour 45 minutes on line at CityMD on 57th who delivered a PCR result in two days - go there instead). I have received PCR Covid tests in multiple clinics in multiple cities and none have exhibited the disregard and dysfunction that emanates from Midoctor and Statcare. This is the only provider who has been unable to deliver results. One last word - they should really learn to clean the puke out of their doorway before opening for the day. Customers having to jump over vomit to enter the clinic during a pandemic isn't a great look. read more

My wife and I were visiting from out of town when she became ill. After searching web sites, we decided to go to midoctor. From the time we walked in the door and were warmly greeted by Destiny, my wife was treated with outstanding compassion and warmth by the entire medical staff. We were confident that she got excellent treatment and we were also surprised that my wife was seen immediately after Destiny had her checked in. I came here for the first time a few days ago, and all I can say is it was an amazing experience the entire time (despite how much pain I was in). The person at the front desk was very polite and funny, he was able to take my mind off the pain. I waited for about 15 minutes and then I was taken to a room where the doctor was promptly available to diagnose me. I have had some not so pleasant experiences with quick cares, and I understand that it's usually because they're extremely busy. I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE PEOPLE FROM VISITING THIS OFFICE so that you do not get misinformation followed by a bill for hundreds of dollars. I visited this office back in February, 2018. At the time of the visit, the front desk representative called my insurance prior to my being seen by the provider to ensure I was only responsible for the copay that I paid at the time of the visit. Recently, I received a statement in the mail saying I owed over $400. When calling their billing department to inquire about the bill, I was informed that their front desk representative can only verify if I have active coverage. I don't know why this is the case with this office when every other doctors office I have been to has been able to confirm, usually off hand, if they are in network. read more

Every member of the staff has been wonderful from the front desk to the doctor and medical assistant. The office itself is beautifully done and extremely clean. The waiting room was spacious and had tons of seating. I walked in and was seen immediately after checking in. The medical assistant was extremely friendly and engaging. She explained everything she was doing to keep me at ease. The doctor was extremely friendly and actively listened to what I wanted. I did not feel rushed one bit which is nice because I have visited an urgent care before and I was in and out so quickly and left in pain exactly as I was before with no explanation for why. I definitely recommend this office for anyone in need of health services and wonderful patient services. Often time urgent care centers lack the warmth one would get at there PCP office but in this case it was quite the opposite. Will be visiting again next time I have any issues and I can't get to my regular doctor. read more

I cannot recommend MiDoctor highly enough. It helps that I live very close-by, but I think the quality of care would recommend this urgent care center even if it were further away. I caught a nasty flu from my family right around Christmas, and found myself on my own back in New York as I struggled with the worst of it. When my fever got really bad and I started feeling woozy, I popped a tylenol and headed over. I was seen within just a few minutes of arriving, and got tested for both strep throat (negative) and influenza (positive). I got a prescription for tamiflu and a talk about what to look out for that would lead me to come back, then sent on my merry/miserable way. The whole encounter was very professional, and they sent me out with lots of info about the flu and what I had to look forward to. In subsequent days, I called them several times to get clarification and check in, and then went in for a followup appointment. They offer free followups within two days, so I went in and got myself checked out again, just to be safe. Again, very professional and I didn't ever schedule an appointment. read more

Compared to my neighborhood the upper West side this was a reasonably priced option to get a Covid PCR test. In my neighborhood you either have to wait on some preposterously long line at 5:00 am ( I'm talking about city MD) or else spend $250 at a boutique pop-up Covid spot. I made my appointment online, the next morning we went, waited in a nice indoor waiting room. They had stranger things on the TV. We were there 10 minutes tops! Anyone ever had a great experience at Urgent Care? Nope! So when we read the reviews, we were skeptical, but because nearby, we gave MiDoctor a try. A family member that lives in NY was in need of care. The staff was kind and helpful (not usually the case in NYC). The doctor was a Physician's Assistant (PA), but was excellent. The entire visit was pleasant with a clean office and a welcoming staff. We've been to many Urgent Care facilities in NYC over the past several years and most of them have good doctors, but the staff is impatient, rude and rushed. I needed something last minute that was near where I work in Midtown. I did some quick research on the train to work and came across MiDoctor. I went in around 9:15am expecting (as I have experienced with Urgent cares) to be crowded and wait a long time. I was the only person in there. I filled out my forms and was taken back right away.
