Please take the time to read this--it could save a life. Almost a week after having my oil changed, my vehicle caught fire while I was driving on the highway. During the oil change, my physical key somehow became stuck in the ignition. I was told it would be replaced the following day. The shop removed the entire ignition assembly and temporarily provided me with a USB device to start the vehicle. While driving home, I immediately noticed the vehicle sounded different. The exhaust had become much louder and produced a noticeable drone that had not been present before. When I returned the next day for the ignition replacement, I informed the mechanic that I believed there was an issue with the exhaust system. I also explained that my vehicle would not shift into Park when I arrived. I spoke directly with the mechanic, Adam, about these concerns. He told me the issue was caused by a faulty shifter. I specifically asked him three or four separate times whether the vehicle was safe to drive, and each time I was assured that it was. Less than a week later, while driving on the highway with my girlfriend and her friend, my vehicle suddenly burst into flames without warning. The situation escalated quickly. My girlfriend's friend had to jump out of the moving vehicle to escape the fire, creating an even more dangerous situation. As the vehicle caught fire, I attempted to brake but discovered I had little to no braking ability. I had to react immediately by using the emergency brake to bring the vehicle to a stop. Quick thinking is what saved my life and my girlfriend's life that day. This experience has been incredibly traumatic. No one should ever have to experience the terror of having their vehicle catch fire while driving on the highway, especially after repeatedly asking whether it was safe to operate and being assured that it was. I'm sharing my experience to raise awareness and encourage others to take unexpected changes in their vehicle seriously. If something doesn't feel right after service, don't ignore it, and don't hesitate to get a second opinion. It could save your life. I wish I did could have saved me from this entire situation... Watch out for DORA @MIDPOINT AUTO, she will not listen nor allow a person to speak and when that person is right she hangs up on them. I've never not had insurance during having my car through Midpoint, but they lied and said when they verified that my insurance expired on June 28, 2026, although it did not expire until July 29, 2026 at which time I renewed. So she added $130 to my payment for insurance. But, when they got the Declaration page notice it started the day that it expired proving that I never not had insurance. Guess what she obviously needs extra money, because even with proof she won't refund money that should have never been paid to them. Not to mention, they turned off my car, not for non payment on my car, but because they added $130 for insurance and I told them that since I had insurance that I was not going to pay it. She said yes you will because until you pay it we will turn your car off. Now remember this....I NEVER NEEDED THEIR INSURANCE, I HAD INSURANCE. So it was pay the insurance that they added or have my car off. So yes they won that one. I paid it, but when they saw that I had insurance she must need the $130, because she said we aren't refunding it. read more

Update since I have had the vehicle. Back in April I was re-ended. I informed the car lot immediately about the incident. I was told immediately by the manager to pay them $500 for their deductible and the SUV would be totalled out. I reminded that I have my own insurance and that the responsible party would be paying for the damage. I took the car to a reliable shop and find out that the body frame of the vehicle has excessive rust damage to it. Informed the insurance company what the shop said. They said that since the car lot sold me a vehicle that was already damaged, they would cover the charge but the car lot had to repair not only the rust damage but the damage that was done from the wreck. They have had the car two and haven't done anything to it. Instead of working on the car, they put it in storage. The insurance company sent them proof of payment and the estimate on May 13th. I called this morning to see if the car was ready just to be told that they hadn't even started any work on it. I tried to speak with the manager to find out what I'm supposed to do about transportation because the rental car that the insurance company provided has to go back. I was told that I would get a call back from the manager Dora, Dolores (whatever her name is). She called me back immediately. She was very unprofessional, rude, disrespectful, loud, and wouldn't allow me to speak. I even asked her if she was going to allow me to speak or say anything and she flat out told me no. She hung up on me. I called her back and told her that her actions was very unprofessional, disrespectful and rude. She told me that we did not have anything to talk about. I chose to go with a third party (the insurance company) so that's who I need to be speaking to about a car or anything else. They don't provide or offer anything and hung up on me again. I tried to call her back a few times and each time I was forwarded to her voicemail. I called the car lot back and informed them of her actions. I even asked to speak to owner and was told that the owner doesn't speak or deal with any of the customers. That's why he hired her as a manager. I have never missed a payment or late on a payment and to be treated with such disrespect is unnerving. read more

They gave it the landlord special when I bought it. Not even joking. UNDER the floor mat on the drivers side the carpet was fully worn away. Like massive hole fully exposing metal. (I know now to check under the mats when buying a car. Lmao) They slapped a mat on it. So I wouldn't see it til after I bought it. The drivers side door also wouldn't latch. I had to take it to their shady ass auto center to "fix it" they just reset the code. Mind you this was after going on a goose chase to even get them to fix it. Door still doesn't latch right. They sold me that car for 17,000 BEFORE INTEREST. 22,000 when all is said and done. I owe 4500 left. So you can realize I've almost paid the thing off. 2013 Honda civic in case you forgot. 22,000 dollars. They take advantage of people who were in shitty situations and make them feel worse. Now you may be like, "you bought the damn car 3 years ago, why are you just now complaining" and to that, I agree with you. I don't want to be here. Yet here I am. Around a year ago their automated system got a change. EVEN WITH PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS (which they only let you put it out one week MAX. They're biweekly payments. They won't let you stack payments either. So I pay 200 every two weeks) they still love to randomly charge cards that are on file. Last payment I had them move it a week out so the following Friday. Two days before the agreed oponed date, they pulled every card I had til one finally went thru. I didn't have the actual funds for it. So it caused major issues on my end trying to cover my bills bc of this. All bc they pulled things before our arrangement date. THIS IS A NEW THING. DIDNT START DOING IT TIL ABOUT A YEAR AGO. I'm sick of it. I know I signed a contract to pay for the car. I didn't sign a contract saying 'only I had to live up to my end of the deal, and any agreement they can go back on at anytime'" So I finally addressed it, the dude on the phone was chill and gave me a blanket answer of "you signed a contract". You could tell he gets comments like these a lot bc he immediately had a rebuttal. I gave pushback (I know he just works there. He isn't the one who creates the rules). So he then sent me to a a lady named "Dora" who proceeded to talk all over me in the conversation, refused to listen to me, and when I finally told her to stop and let me speak because she kept interrupting me, SHE INTERRUPTED ME AGAIN AND SAID "I'm not doing that. I'm not cutting you off" ABRUPTLY HUNG UP, THEN BLOCKED MY NUMBER. Oh this was after the fact that the first response to me calling out this weird new change from Dora was "well your car is GPS tracked and we're a second chance company" I'm sorry ma'am. I've never missed a payment on a car that's almost fully paid off, and you're gonna do what? Threaten to take my car? Absolutely disgusting behavior. No I didn't not yell. No I wasn't belligerent. I called her out on something that is new. If this had been happening from the moment I bought the car, we wouldn't have been having a conversation. WHEN I DID finally see the copy of this "contract" I signed it's an authorization for ONE card I used when I bought the car. They sold me a car for 4,000 over market value, lied to me and said all their cars had the same error showing up in the dash (the error is specific to diesels) at 25% financing. the battery died on day two and stranded me so that was another 200.00 and only then did my code reader work (since it won't work on a low battery) and shows 12 errors out of 27 possible check points from engine to AC to brakes to steering. They have 31 BBB complaints in the last 3 years. They say free service but then why didn't they fix all this first? With this many problems it's now like 7,000 over market value. They make promises they can't keep. Before I came, I was messaging someone to confirm that they WORK with bad credit and hard to prove income. I was told they do! It literally says it on the post. So I ubered 50 minutes in traffic as well for the promise of being able to leave in this vehicle. I was also told the car downpayment was $1500, I had $2500. Which was perfect to make my payments right where I wanted them. Once I get there, we fill everything out. I had to remind him to test drive the vehicle. The vehicle literally had 2 miles of gas left, and was idling. Didn't even get to test drive it for real. I asked if they can put gas in it, the manager said no! When we were looking at the vehicle, the service engine light was on. And plenty of other issues with this car as well. We went back in, and he told us we would have to put 3000 down + $500 the next month and that's the best they can do. For this shitty ass car with problems, they upped the price? Crazy. I've worked for a dealership, they pack the price. They always can lower it, but for them to want more for a car that has all these issues and not even in good condition? Nah. We purchased a car from Mid Point. Car would not start after 10 days ( we drove for a total of 30 miles). Returned and they replaced battery. Would not start after 4 days again drove less than 30 miles. Returned, they had for 10 days and did not answer our requests for updates. Would not start after 1 day. We brought to mechanic for diagnostic , result electrical drain when engine was not running. Returned as directed to Mid point 5 days ago. No one will return calls, we are left in limbo. I got a SUV from them. They did work with me on Down payments, but sold me a SUV that had problems the first week. They took it to a repair shop to get fix and I got it back the next week. Had it two days and then I broke down again for the same thing. They took it away to get repair again. I got it back the next week. Again two days later it broke down the with the same thing. I called them and they kept passing me to different people in the company. They told me I bough it as is. So the three weeks I had it I used it a total of 6 days. I finally drove down there to talk to someone in person and they just acted like they did not care. So I gave it back. My car was broke & they fixed it in a decent time & good customer service.

Well, they are really nice but majority of the cars on the lot are crap. Drove off with a car that needed a Timing Belt Tensioner replace, VVT Solenoid Gaskets aswell as Valve Cover Gaskets need to be replaced. Oil in 3 out of the 6 spark plug wells. 3 cracked Coils. Alternator is starting to go aswell. Power steering pump had issues but I fixed that. Cheap Duralast Powersteering pump and cheap Duralast Alternator. Control arm is shot, car has lots of hidden damage all around but I knew this when I checked out the car but the total price ended up being 20k for a car that wasn't worth that price but as a mechanic, I've resolved the 1st two issues out of pocket, they say they will take care of the valve cover gaskets and coil packs so we will see. Just know what you're getting into before leaving with a car because it will inevitably be on you at the end of the day. Im just doing it do build credit plus Im familiar with the platform of the car that I chose so I can work on it with ease. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!!! Please I'm trying to help you. Like someone else said they just glue the car together, so it's temporarily fixed, charge insanely high interest rates and give it to you saying it's all good. The interest rate is so high we're paying $9.34 a day! With $600-900 dollar payments a month for a car whose A/C didn't work, has a weird smell after a few weeks, wheel alignment was messed up. This place gave us a car whose AC broke down within 2 days then took 3 months to fix. We called almost everyday and went up there a few times. They kept saying the part wasn't there or the guy wasn't there. We didn't test drive the car at night but the first night the windshield was so scratched up we couldn't see anything, and the back windshield is so messed up with tint things are just a blur behind us. We kept calling and calling for them to finally fix the windshield and now the car makes a loud wind blowing sound when the car gets to 70. We asked them for a full check up of the car and still the wheel alignment was 7 degrees on a few tires when it should be 80 degrees. The inside of the car started falling apart after a few days or weeks of buying it. They never answer our calls in the service department or the payment department so we can take insurance off. They are just strait up trash and thief's. The manager needs to get it together and be a good honest man to his customers who trust him. Update 2/10/24. I've always gone online to pay the car note. Payment was due 2/9. I have auto pay for one WF account. I've also paid with NF. This account isn't setup for their autopay. These ppl are running every single card you've paid with to take payment even if it's not the card you've setup for autopay. If you've paid with 5 different cards they're going to run all 5 cards until they can take the payment from any one of your cards. I have the doc signed at purchase and I asked the lady in payments to read it. These ppl will send you the autopay formed signed at purchase and they're just going to lie and just send you the receipt from the transaction recently made. Also you cannot remove any of the cards on their site. All of your forms of payments are hidden from the customer on their website for online payments. I promise you this company will find a way to harass, steal from you consistently whether you're in good standing with them or not. I cannot say this any stronger... Do Not Buy here read more

On top of that, the service behind the payments is awful and they will make you double pay before just deferring a payment back.
