I love this coffee shop in Branford. Every time I'm in the area I always try to get some coffee hot or cold depending on the time of the year. Today I got the Matcha Tea Latte. The Latte was so flavorful and delicious. The matcha flavor was perfectly balanced with the milk. The service is always great, and the ambiance is always nice compared to to other coffee shops in the area. Some people come to do some school work or mostly just work. Definitely this is one of my favorite places in Branford to get some good fresh coffee and pastries. read more

I was so excited to try an independent coffee place. This spot looked cute. The seasonal options were underwhelming. I ended up ordering a caramel latte. It was scalding. Obviously it's hot but I had 2nd degree burns in my mouth for at least a week. I must have completely burned off my taste buds bc months later I can still feel the aftermath. I do not know why we need to make it that hot. I couldn't tell you if it was good. read more

If you love coffee, Branford is a great spot for you! Perkatory is another great place in the town to get some great drinks and also catch that alternative vibe. I have been to the original location in Middletown several times and was so excited to see them move down to the shoreline. There are always at least a couple of special concoctions on their board that I cannot resist trying. The most recent was a strawberry rhubarb honey oatmilk latte, which I ordered iced. Pretty tasty. In March they had a memorable Lucky Charms latte too. The space is pretty chill and has WiFi, but their amazing playlist is usually on in the background , so I recommend no scheduled Zoom meetings if you plan to work remotely from there. read more

Tried Perkatory today for the first time and was not disappointed. I visited the Branford location. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. They made my iced latte perfectly. The shop was clean and I love the vibe of the whole place. It's a decent sized space. It is tucked away in a plaza on Brushy Plains Road. Plenty of parking available. The price I paid for my latte was average and about what I would expect. Will definitely be back soon. read more

A little tucked alway in a shopping plaza- Perkatory has plenty of space to sit and chill while enjoying one of their many great beverages. I got a matcha latte and it was so bitter and grainy I couldn't drink it. The barrista was nice about it and gave me a tea instead. the place was crowded, the couch was dirty and I found the place noisy. Glad the neighborhood has a choice where parking is easier, but honestly I would not go back. read more

Met up with a friend on a weekday in the late afternoon. I love the location in Middletown so I was excited to visit the Branford location. No one was really there because it was an odd time on a weekday. However, the staff was friendly we got our coffees quickly and were able to sit there and chat for as long as we pleased. I get nervous ordering from a coffee shop and still do here so wish the menu online was a bit more detailed with what is in each drink And maybe some more light bite options and this place would be perfection. I was in Branford a few days ago, and needed a good coffee after a long drive. All the places by the beach were closed since it's off season. I eventually came across Perkatory Coffee Roasters, tucked away in a little shopping area with condos. This is for sure a sneaky, little hidden gem. I know there are a few other locations of Perkatory Coffee, but I haven't been to any of them before. This place is such a cool vibe. I asked the young man at the counter how long the store has been opened, and he said since the end of November, so they're pretty new. It is spacious and so vibrant inside. There's a lot of skeleton artwork, the message might be.. if you are coffee deprived you might become one.. Aahhh... I especially loved the mermaid skeleton hanging out on a shelf. They have a nice selection of coffees and flavors. You can also purchase their whole bean coffee and other locally made products. There's couches to sit on and bar seating, as well as a bench outside. There were also some pastry items to snack on. I got their cold brew, and my mom got just their medium hot coffee. We went pretty basic. This coffee was just right for us both. It was a super warm day, so a cold brew was fitting for me. I'm glad I found this great coffee spot! read more

We've been here once before and enjoyed their drinks, but we don't live close. This time we even got a chance to go in. Besides already loving the name, the actual menu and drinks were great; a really nice selection. My daughters got hot chocolate, and they even put halloween themed sprinkles on the whipped cream! My husband enjoyed his black iced coffee, and I tried the "Mary" off of their specialty Hocus Pocus menu. All three "witch brews" sounded delicious, but I'm happy with the one suggestion for me. It came with gold edible glitter that my girls got a kick out of! Their muffins were delish too. It did need a little sweeping inside, but the food, drinks, and staff were all good.
