I stopped by this place while visiting a friend and I was impressed. This place was immaculate. Family owned and operated. Their coffee was amazing quality. I had a latte my espresso was perfect exactly 30 seconds on the mark. Milk was frothed to perfection, it was a silky dream. This place has a European/ middle eastern flare. The food is solid, the ambience is very nice and the service is friendly. However, the manager/owner (?), Farrukh is a royal prick and is on some kind of power trip. I was at the place earlier today (not my first time there) and he asked me to leave for praying after my meal. The saying goes "God above all", not Farrukh above all but if you prefer this man's petty rules over God's law, visit away. I'll be taking my business in the future to one of the other great shops in the area; my personal faves include the local Starbucks, the Dunkin by Cheri's bakery, Common Grounds on Main Street, Perkatory, and relatively recent arrival, Moon Shots, which is out of this world! read more

It was so good! Very creamy and cookie butter forward. It is a family run business/ small business which I love! Lots of seating inside. A good place to study, work, or chat with friends. My family and I were in the area and looking for a cup of coffee to warm us up, so we made an impromptu stop at The Coffee Bean! I had never even heard of it before, but it ended up being a solid place to stop. Giant scones, really good coffee (served piping hot), and even cookies from a local bakery in Milford. Loved the middle eastern flair. Overall a good place to sit with the family for a bit and warm up. read more

This is such a lovely place. We were in the area and needed caffeine. The service was great, interior was so nicely decorated. My latte was delicious. Perfect foam and flavor. They also have many baked items to choose from. It was hard but PEOPLE look at the picture of the scone. That's an 8x8" box. The scone was ginormous. Sort of like 3 scones in one. If we see in the area again we will definitely stop by. You should too!! read more

Finally tried the newest coffee shop in Branford, The Coffee Bean, and what a great addition to the community! The shop is clean, beautifully decorated with available seating and gives off a welcoming, relaxing vibe. There are many options of beverage and food choices with tons of pastries displayed. The woman at the counter was friendly and helpful. I informed her of it being my first time visiting, and she gave some background on the shop. I ordered an iced coffee and a pistachio/apricot croissant. The croissant was soft, fluffy, and flavorful. The coffee was strong (just how I like it!). I will absolutely be returning! read more

The Coffee Bean is so nicely decorated and such a cute spot to meet a friend. My husband and I met the owner who was very nice and personable. I ordered an iced salted carmel coffee with a white chocolate raspberry scone, and my husband got a toasted bagel with cream cheese. My coffee was excellent, really smooth and perfectly flavored. My scone was very good sized, enough for 2-3 servings, and so delicious! My husband really enjoyed his bagel and cream cheese. Everything is very well priced, and the coffee was even better than dunkin. I highly recommend trying this new coffee shop! I know I'll visit again soon! read more

But when I tell you, I've just had the best Halal bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on jalapeño bagel that was light and airy, and melted in my mouth...AMAZING oh, and the heated apple cider muffin and I washed everything down with a pistachio iced coffee with oat milk! 10 out of 10! Prices? OK, but certainly not affordable. Choices available? For a smaller coffee shop, it has a great variety of choices of coffee and pastries. I ordered a salted caramel flavored coffee, bit did not taste any caramel, although that might have been a bad choice of flavor. Atmosphere? Not much to speak of. It is located in a strip mall type of place, that's OK I guess. I will say they get an "A" for plenty of comfortable places to sit, as well as counters and tables. They had obscure middle eastern music playing on their speakers. Not very relaxing as I could not relate at all. It's probably Ok, but, in my opinion they would probably appeal to a lot more people with a more generic or softer, easy listening music, (not country music please), which is easy to change. This is a pretty good place and with a few tweaks could easily be an even better place. read more

There is a new coffee shop in Branford! The Coffee Bean is in the hill, in the plaza near Jersey Mike's. When you walk in you will notice the beautiful interior: open, lots of seating, plants, and a gorgeous wall mural. The service is fantastic - professional and accommodating. My dad and I love to try many different local coffee shops and this one is our favorite by far. I'm so serious Quite literally a gem. The staff are very lovely and friendly people. It is nice and quiet and there is plenty of seating. Not to mention the beautiful decorations and vibe ! He was curious about the Turkish Coffee and the server told him about it, and when he tried it, it was the best coffee he ever had! I had some too it was delightful and in the cutest little cup ever. Throughout the few times ive been there ive had the monkey bread, dubai chocolate croissant, and a bagel with cream cheese. these were all SO VERY GOOD!! Filling, high quality, and excellent flavors. This is a wonderful place and I couldn't recommend it enough. I hope it grows even more!! read more

I've been here a handful of times since their opening. Every time the coffee has been excellent, desserts are a real treat, and the bagels are phenomenal!
